  1. As are those who pretend that Caesar = Trump.
  2. Oh, it was goofy alright. Everyone involved was going out of their way to act like buffoons.
  3. You can pretend that there was no intent behind making the Caesar character look like Trump, but if you do, you should probably refrain from calling others "idiots". Freedom of expression isn't about accepting other peoples' actions without taking offense, it's about being free to express yourself without government reproach.
  4. I know a guy that did a commercial for Yeti a few years ago here in Austin:
  5. I may be missing something here, but to "Godwin" something is to invoke Hitler. This guy and his stage-invading accomplice seem to be drawing a parallel between the production's choice to represent Caesar as Trump and something typical of the Goebbels propaganda machine. If that's the case, then I have to agree with the protestors.
  6. Hahaha - you said "put out".
  7. You'd better hope not. A constitutional amendment is a constitutional amendment. Start redefining them, and you've set a precedent.
  8. I had never seen Breaking Bad before watching Better Call Saul. After season one of BCS ended, I began watching BB on Netflix. To answer your question, I honestly don't think it matters which one you start with.
  9. I agree completely. It's not that Fox has never had a bias - they very obviously have. It's the fact that they reported from the opposing point of view while acknowledging, and often representing the other side that validated their claim to being "balanced".
  10. You're a douchebag of the highest order. Blame the $%#@ing NRA and gun laws for the actions of another psycho, you complete %$#@ing moron. On the other hand, cheers to Senator Sanders for his heartfelt statement on the shooter, victims, and the need for peaceful resolution to our differences.
  11. The pills are supposed to be nitro glycerin. Beta blockers slow the heart rate. Nitro opens the blood vessels so that the heart doesn't need to work as hard to pump blood. If I had to guess, I'd say that Hector is suffering from Angina. That's a common malady treated by nitro glycerin.
  12. Bullsh%t - there were 16 other candidates besides Trump at the beginning. Despite what you, I, or anyone thinks, he defeated everyone easily until he had to go head to head with "Lying Ted", which he again won easily. It's to the Republicans' credit that they had as many candidates as they did. It's an indictment of both Republicans and Democrats that Trump won. It's not a fluke or some kind of random chance that he won, it's because a hell of a lot of people are fed up with Washington that he won. Can he actually capitalize on that? That's what remains to be seen. One thing is for sure - people from BOTH parties are sick to death of business as usual, and they agreed that Trump represented their best chance of being heard. That ought to tell you everything you need to know about the R vs D dichotomy.
  13. I never thought I would live to see a day when so many Americans would actually think embracing socialism would be a good idea. It'll be interesting to see if the Democrat party tries to out-socialism Bernie's group, or if they actually drop some of the leftist agenda and attempt to become more pragmatic.
  14. I don't see how the two are necessarily exclusive. Sanders trying to split the party and lead an independent, socialist movement wouldn't have much effect on who ran for the Democrat nomination, except to draw the far lefties away.
  15. That actually wouldn't surprise me. What was it that Lydia said to Mike last night? "you think all he is is a drug dealer?"
  16. I don't know - how many people in that room know that Hector is taking bad medicine?
  17. I thought he replaced them all, but maybe not. The effect of nitro pills is to dilate blood vessels very quickly, relieving pressure on the heart by allowing it to pump blood more easily. I don't know if you can get much of a placebo effect like that, but then I'm no doctor.
  18. Crowder is annoying as hell, but he's done it already:
  19. Just for the sake of accuracy, I do not view the president as anyone's representative, but rather the person who oversees the entire executive branch, the federal layer that bonds all fifty states into a union. The two people that act as representatives for the interests of the state where I reside are Ted Cruz and John Cornyn. The only representative at the federal level that I have is Lamar Smith.
  20. No thanks necessary. I'm always glad to clear up simple misconceptions that fall within my humble sphere of knowledge.
  21. The president heads the executive branch of the federal government, which has absolutely nothing to do with representing the American people. They serve us, but do not represent us. We are represented by the House of Representatives. The Senate represents the interest of each of the 50 states.
  22. I just learned that my 23 year-old niece plays D&D. I used to play it a lot with her dad in the 80's and 90's. I got sick of it, to be honest. On the other hand, I did just begin playing something similar with some friends - a completely different system: http://www.modiphius.com/conan.html
  23. Kim wasn't planning on leaving, she left when she learned that it was Chuck that was preventing Jimmy from getting a job with the firm (Jimmy with a law degree is like a chimpanzee with a machine gun ).
