  1. Your excellent taste aside, here's MY FOX babe:
  2. Pretty sure Carlson is getting moved up to O'Reilly's slot with The Five on right after. You could have a successful mud wrestling show with pretty much any of the FOX babes.
  3. That's a good question. I don't watch any political commentators because they're all annoying. Ones that I routinely disagree with I just consider to be hacks, and if I agree with one then I'm just indulging in a little confirmation bias and not learning a damned thing. I pretty much view them all as I do music or movie reviewers - people who spout opinions when I'm better off forming opinions of my own. You can always tell when people are just repeating crap that they heard on TV or radio.
  4. You didn't appear to have any specific context at all other than "people", which is why I said what I said.
  5. Communists......
  6. Not to the people of Georgia's 6th district.
  7. Reminds me of this: http://youtu.be/Qbnv6eHKjCQ?t=2m51s
  8. Your guess is as good as anyone's. If there's one thing anyone should have learned about Trump is that he keeps his options open, and that you can more easily negotiate from a position of perceived support than one of confrontative bluster.
  9. Since this election is apparently going to be determined by a run-off after all, will the left still try to make this a referendum on the Trump agenda? Will they try to make a stand in Georgia's 6th district by putting forth Hollywood personalities to promote Ossoff, a candidate who still resides in Georgia's 5th district? Will they be able to manage a takeover of a congressional district that has been traditionally conservative/republican since 1979? The media analysis is going to be fascinating.
  10. I've always wanted a mountaintop windmill/mad scientist's lair myself.
  11. I think you'll find that Washington politics and presiding presidents have little to do with filling house seats. Local politics normally has a much greater impact in house elections.
  12. Good lord, I'd sell it. Land near downtown Austin goes for roughly $1.5 million an acre. I could do a lot with $150 million.
  13. But this isn't about "Trump and the Republicans", despite what the Democrat party and Hollywood celebrities are trying to make it into. That they're casting it that way shows the extent of their desperation to appear relevant at a time when they've lost nearly all their support outside of the east & west coasts and a handful of urban areas. I've done a bit of digging since my last post in this thread, and I've learned that the 6th district went over 60% for both Romney and McCain before him, so unless there's been a major shift in demographics in that district, they're not electing a Democrat for that seat, no matter what Samuel L Jackson says.
  14. Free speech is a tool of white supremacists, and Heather Mac Donald is a fascist, a white supremacist, a warhawk, transphobe, queerphobe, classist, that questions black people's right to exist: Students: Free Speech is for Bigots, College Must Apologize for Hosting ‘Fascist’ Heather Mac Donald https://heatst.com/culture-wars/students-free-speech-is-for-bigots-college-must-apologize-for-hosting-fascist-heather-mac-donald/
  15. I suspect that it may be a mistake to presume that since Trump only won this district by 1% that it's any indication of a lack of support for Republicans. Wasn't this Newt Gingrich's district? Unless the demographics have changed considerably since then, I would wager that Trump's low margin was due to the fact that he's not perceived by many as being a "true" Republican, or considered to be "not conservative enough". If that's the case (and I admit that it's a big "if"), then the only way this district goes Democrat is if a run-off is avoided.
  16. Boy, ain't that the truth.... There you go, obfuscating with facts again....
  17. I wouldn't want to either, and no one expects you to do so. I'm just trying to add a little context. Thankfully all of that ancient stuff has long since fallen away. I was here on day one - just before the 2000 election. Talk about an issue that helped to generate an instant $%$#storm - the Bush/Gore recount battle was brutal. I have no doubt that I'd be embarrassed half to death if I saw some of what I was posting back then.
  18. Many people here are willing to discuss and debate, but you're often going to do so with people who have an opposing or contrary viewpoint. The fact that they disagree with you does not make them intolerant. You may also wish to consider that some of the debates here have been waged across multiple threads for over a decade, and many of the participants have evolved their views over that time - you just haven't been here to see it. If you learn to relax a bit and open your mind as much as you open your mouth, you'll probably find that your own opinions will evolve as well. There are several people who post regularly who are actually rather knowledgeable in one field or another, and if you learn to recognize them and pay attention to what they say, then you'll definitely learn something.
  19. For those that haven't seen it, employee training with Gus:
  20. As far as I'm concerned, whether legitimate professional or fictitious amateur, retarded is still retarded. But I get your point.
  21. They took it down because they couldn't verify the blogger's authenticity, but not because it was both ignorant and repugnant? In other words, the author wasn't valid, but the concept was. Pathetic.
