  1. So, there really is no gravity and the Earth truly just sucks? Next you'll tell me that the wind blows, too.
  2. I think most people who still regularly watch CNN aren't truly looking to hear actual news as much as they are tuning in for a good dose of confirmation bias. It's easier to believe political dogma if there are steady sources of support. And by no means to I mean to imply that CNN is the only such "news" outlet. I trust very few of them, and only then after I can find some kind of independent corroboration.
  3. So they've given up all pretense of objectivity - how liberating for them.
  4. I never did understand that. Whenever I knew there was a likelihood of being snowed-in, I made sure to load up on steaks and beer. People in Texas do the same thing. Whenever the weather looks threatening, people deplete the stores' supply of eggs, bread, and milk. I always have an image of the people of Austin, huddled safely inside their homes, eating french toast.
  5. Yeah, I've got to admit that I laughed at that too.
  6. You're right, I don't see any of his posts, but I do see thread titles. It's a shame that you find things so difficult to understand, because your posts would probably seem a bit less obtuse were that not the case.
  7. I have you on ignore, if that tells you anything.
  8. Because everyone knows that race and ethnicity are the first things they notice about someone. What could possibly be racist about that?
  9. Dude, I caught the reference when that episode first aired, being a bit of a John Carpenter nerd as well as a complete South Park super-nerd.
  10. What does it mean? It means that there's no hope for the microcephalic.
  11. Awesome movie, and completely off-topic: The fight scene from They Live inspired the original throw-down between Timmy and Jimmy.
  12. It's funny - when you word it like that, I'm against his receiving a pension in light of what he's done. On the other hand, if you had instead worded it like "maybe we can just pay him to shut up and go away", I'd have said it sounded like a good idea.
  13. Which is why I'm mystified at the number of people who will still engage him. This is all he ever does.
  14. You may know more with regards to specifics in this instance, but all the congressional conservatives I can think of are calling for Moore to step aside, so I don't know what representatives of other districts you're referring to.
  15. I was going to ask if you meant "Arkansas" instead of "Alabama" but I remembered that there isn't enough of a difference to bother with the distinction.
  16. I'm a bit surprised to see that run in the Washington Post. Good for them.
  17. This is the first time I've seen the Rs in the Senate so vehemently opposed to any of their own party gaining a senate seat. It may amount to nothing, but I think Magox is probably right about the ethics investigations. Moore may survive, but I think the Rs are really going to make a show of putting him through hell. No, conservatives won't lose credibility, and neither will the Republicans in general. Alabama will lose credibility.
  18. Just click on your user profile in the far upper right and you'll see it as a choice in the drop-down.
