  1. Yep, I'd say that's both an accurate assessment as well as a reasonable prediction.
  2. I think it's pretty evident by now that he's just trolling. Between the nonsense answers and the accusations of racism, he's offered nothing but bait for his amusement. Whether or not he's another facet of the gator-troll, he's joining the others in the hall of useless posters on ignore.
  3. You only touched a nerve because you singled out a group of people for their appearance and flat out stated that the world would be better off without them. Based on their looks. That makes you an a-hole.
  4. You weren't even posting here back then. Unless of course you're one of our old-timers skulking back under a new moniker.
  5. 1) How can lobbyist "capture" government? 2) Unless I'm mistaken, the SEC was created by congress in 1934, and is not considered a private enterprise. 3) A military industrial complex would by definition be comprised of both private industry and the Pentagon. Not exactly "privatized power". 4) What do private prisons lobby for? Keeping drugs illegal? Maybe they do, maybe not. Does that count as "privatized power getting out of hand"? I'm not sure it does. 5) Solyndra? Really? That was congress AND Obama, and it was pure payoff, not "crony capitalism". 6) Apple's exploitation of labor happens largely in China, and for some reason most of the left doesn't give a $#%@ about that. DR has a history of detailing Apple's transgression here on this site, which you can find easily using the search function. Your final statement, "Private interets (sic) using government, government using itself or private industry to create corruption" is too vague, too nebulous to address without clarification.
  6. What would be an example of privatized power getting out of hand?
  7. And I predict that if the Bills score more points tomorrow than the Patriots do, then Buffalo will win the game.
  8. Can you please be more specific? I'd love to hear you address this in greater detail.
  9. High post count? Me? What in hell are you talking about? And yes, you're completely wrong about "faux cowpokes". Your choice of terms in describing them illustrates your ignorance of a significant and historical American culture. Just because you can't relate doesn't diminish them one bit.
  10. But that's good, for ISPs, content providers, online commerce, and subscribers. The technology will always lag demand, and ISPs are constantly upgrading to try to meet that ever-increasing demand.
  11. Wireless is where all this is going. Trust me, telecom is dying to get away from physical connectivity in first/last mile delivery.
  12. If someone posts an accurate description of your posting history but you disagree with it, take a moment for a little introspection before declaring it "ad hominem". If you skip taking showers for a week and someone tells you that you stink, it's not a personal attack, it's just the truth.
  13. Pressed denim for sure, and a tweed jacket with patches on the elbows. Cheers!
  14. Just telling it like it is, Sally.
  15. Newsflash - corporations BUILT the internet, and they did it WITHOUT the government and DESPITE their regulatory power. Without the telecoms, the internet is nothing. Read a damned book.
  16. There's an impressive amount of calculated stupidity between these two posts. By all means, keep the back & forth going.
  17. This is some seriously ignorant and elitist %$#@ right here. There are a few American cultures that you're apparently completely unaware of, and none of those people should need to change anything about their appearance or lifestyle to gain approval - or at least an acknowledgement of legitimacy - from you. You actually said "I have just yet to find one the world would not be a better place without". You arrogant swine.
  18. Says another guy with yoga pants and man-bun. You carry a man purse too?
  19. You're no libertarian if that's what you believe.
  20. That's okay, I know quite a few people who routinely wear cowboy hats, and they're just as guilty of assuming Fadingpain and people like him all wear yoga pants and have a man-bun, so it all evens out in the end.
  21. You left out one crucial alternative: cut spending. We'll never get rid of any debt without controlling how much we spend.
  22. I can answer without seeing the video; as far as social security is concerned, just give me the 12.5 % of every dollar I've ever earned and we can call it even.
  23. Man, Mr Willeford is a bundle of nerves after that. God bless him...how many people were saved by his actions?
