Man, hope we can afford to keep him. Guy is having a great season
-
Yeah, defense coaches had nothing to do with the defense playing well tonight. But of course, all blame goes to defensive coaches for the losses. Go bills!
-
I am all for not changing schemes, but this defense is so bad, I really don't know what to think. If I didnt know this defensive line had Mario, Kyle, and marcel, I would say we need all new linemen..... Whatever we are doing isn't working. The defense really needs to step up to justify keeping stache around

The team is not out of Playoff Hunt
DanInUticaTampa replied to djp14150's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think it is easy to say they can win the rest of their games. They are playing better than they did in the begining, but they have too many problems to win out the rest of the season But I say we have 3 wins left in us at least -
Buddy says he wants to draft a QB this year
DanInUticaTampa replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think he is in the RGIII/Luck class, at least not after what he has shown this season. He might not have to trade up for him. I think he will get drafted right around where locker was, which is where I am assuming we will pick around.USC QBs underwhelm me, but I think it is safe to say barkley would play better than fitz. I don't think they draft him though. I think he isn't the chan type qb. I think they will target someone else. hopefully someone really good. -
Big difference, compared to most of our first rounders, mckelvin actually looks pretty decent!

Easly promoted from practice squad?
DanInUticaTampa replied to Kevin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, that should leave 2 roster spots open.... They have to be adding some kind of depth players from somewhere -
I like nix as a gm actually, which is hypocritical for me to say since his drafts have been pretty bad. But he has done a lot of things that I love that other regimes didn't do. The guy has put together an o line, which we have needed for a long time, oline depth, he has re-signed are good players like Stevie, Kyle, chandler, etc, he has brought in good free agents like Mario, barnett, pears, chandler etc. The only player that nix didn't keep that we should have was poz, and it sounds like they made a good try to keep him. Even though I don't like gailey as HC, I think he is above average as an OC, even with his questionable playcalling. I think with a top 15 qb, his playcalling would work. The only reason his playcalling doesn't work is because he has too much faith in Fitz. With a better qb, his playcalling would actually work well I think. But I also blame gaily for not going after a qb. I think nix has been wanting one, but gailey has pushed against it, but that is just me speculating. I think the wildcat is annoying, and I would be surprised if brad smith returns. I think they will need more roster room next year. And I am not going to bother talking about stache. There is a chance he can save his job, but man has he made me curse a lot this season

NFL admits officiating mistake
DanInUticaTampa replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not gonna lie, when I read the thread title, I was thinking they were finally admitting the forward pass in the music city nightmare. Dreams don't come true -
Williams, Williams, Defense, Offense
DanInUticaTampa replied to PO'14's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No. But blaming the wrong people is what jests fans do. No one is expecting to jump for joy at a loss, but blame the people that actually sucked and give credit where credit is due. If you take away the few good things we do, we only get worse. And yes, it is possible to get worse And watt was better than Mario. But Mario had a good game still -
Face it, there won't be any changes
DanInUticaTampa replied to bobinaz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Someone has to be the scapegoat. They can't go into the offseason without one. Looks like most likely it will be Fitz and they will draft a qb. Chan isn't going anywhere based on what nix said. But I think they are leaning toward replacing Fitz, even if they just draft one to "groom." But no matter what, there has to be a scapegoat. There is one every year. It is a bills yearly tradition. -
Williams, Williams, Defense, Offense
DanInUticaTampa replied to PO'14's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Mario played like that every game, i would say he is doing plenty. Hopefully that surgury really did fix him up and he plays more like he did today. But man, my offseason wishlist is so long..... -

Well, the bills are pretty much eliminated before the season begins, so that won't work -
Next years hype to the fan base??????????????????????
DanInUticaTampa replied to gjv001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't they they even try to replace buddy with anyone. If anything, polian might be brought in as a consultant, but I doubt polian would like a role like that. I don't see this organization holding the buddy accountable yet. If we finish the year really bad, gailey will be the scapegoat, buddy stays. Bills will probably higher coach that isn't excitable, but they would probably market it as such. If the bills finish 8-8 or higher by some dumb luck, then I say they all stay. I am not expecting a big offseason for them if they are 8-8 or higher. If they are less, we get a new coaching staff and probably a new 1st round qb, but not barkley -

They still need to push it back a couple more weeks if they really want to see some action -
A Few Scattered Thoughts, on a bye week.....
DanInUticaTampa replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know.... These defense has more talent than last year yet it is playing worse. I think that is more coaching than talent -

What Teams Will Be Drafting QBs?
DanInUticaTampa replied to Rob's House's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Possibly Cleveland if they tank bad enough and there is a qb that falls to them that is too good to pass up -
BUDDY NIX! [asleep at the wheel!]
DanInUticaTampa replied to thewildrabbit's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The playcalling would change, which would make a huge difference. Wanny calls the same play 90% of the time. Anyone that mixes the playcalling up a bit would be a huge upgrade, and sanders has had those duties before -
No. They are just playing the younger guys, because it has worked so well. I honestly wish they would put him in. The defense can't look worse with him out there
