I'm a fan of True Blood. I didn't expect much going in, but it's actually VERY good. Don't watch with your parents though.... That could be a bit awkward as there's a lot of sex and nudity in the beginning. It tapers off after a few episodes, but it's always there in almost every episode. But aside from that, the story is pretty entertaining and well done. Plus, Anna Paquin is pretty cute.

Agreed, and he's welcome back whenever he wants.

Why call 3 pass plays with 1:30 left in OT?
Fezmid replied to DFITZ1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's what I'm most upset by as well. A tie would've been better than a loss. -
You were booted because you kept bringing up the play over and over and over. Just like crusades are not allowed on TSW, we don't want to see them in the chat room either. You came back after being booted and CONTINUED to talk about the play. You were warned multiple more times but you refused to let it go and talk about the game. And it's hilarious that a week later, you're STILL bitching about it.

How would you know, you're not in here?

Another bump - this time for the Bills vs Chiefs game. GO BILLS!

Just because you've done it for years doesn't mean it's safe. That's like someone saying, "I've never worn a seatbelt and have never been injured while driving." Imagine your payment is going to your mortgage company. An hour before that, scammers clean out your account. Now your mortgage payment bounces, which is reflected on your credit report. In addition, banks are under no obligation to refund your money, although they usually do. It's just silly not to use credit if you have it available to you.

Nice thread. I got screwed by that too.... The part that made it an even tougher pill to swallow was because I have a history against the team I lost to. Last season, he was undefeated when I played him. Colston scored an apparently touchdown.... But upon review, they called him down at the 2" line. The very next play was a TD pass to Shockey -- who the other guy had on his team.... 12 point swing. I lost by 3 or 4. I went back through the playoff matchups -- and if I had won that game, I would've won the Superbowl. Now this year I get screwed by the Johnson play. I wonder what impact that play will have overall? I'm convinced that guy has sold his soul to the devil to get these crazy wins.

Yet another reason to NEVER EVER EVER USE A DEBIT CARD!!!!! Nothing good can happen from a debit card. Use only CREDIT CARDS and pay them off in full each month. As you noted, it could've been really bad if they had taken more than $25 out -- could've bounced a mortgage payment, for example. I've preached that message for years here, and some people call me paranoid. That''s their right, but all I know is that if someone steals my number, they're not actually touching my bank account.

It doesn't usually get that cold here either --- don't know the coldest it's been, but probably higher than -38. Windchill, on the other hand, can be ruthless. We had around -70F windchills here in '95. I was stupid and went to class because I had an exam and the professor said he never allows make-up exams, and since the University specifically said classes were open... I went. Turns out he made an exception that day. Normal lows are probably around -10, -20F tops, and the windchills usually don't go below -50F or so. But at least it's usually sunny those days, since there's usually no clouds (back to that "dry cold" comment ). Lots of people like snow mobiling, ice fishing, etc in winter. I like to hibernate, but lots of people enjoy the weather for some reason... We have skiing here. I've never done it, so I don't know how good it is, but I know people who go to Afton Alps all the time: http://www.aftonalps.com/ I've hiked their trails during fall, but never done the skiing or anything.

It is -- and it dries out your skin and your nose instantly. Very weird feeling when you breath in -20F air... But I still like it better than shoveling a foot of snow.

Yeah, WNY isn't cold at all compared to Minneapolis... But because it gets so cold here, it doesn't snow as much either... So less need to be outside which is nice. Downtown was built with the weather in mind, as well -- as they have the Skyway system -- bridges that connect all of the buildings so you can go pretty much anywhere without having to go outside. Very handy.

Minneapolis/St. Paul are ranked #8 -- and I'd say it's a much better place to live than Buffalo/Niagara Falls. (plus, our unemployment is "only" 7% ). I can't figure out why they put Bloomington in there with the Twin cities. Because of the Mall of America? Umm, ok... Apparently they didn't make it up... Although I've never heard of it before: http://www.ci.buffal...NYforReforestat http://en.wikipedia...._New_York#Parks http://www.synacor.com/pages/jobs/buffalo/about/

Now you did it -- you're going to get attacked for that comment, even though you're 100% correct.

In addition, you could lean to the right to peer around a corner, for example.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not condoning it. I'm just saying compared to the woman throwing kittens into the lake or the guy barbequing the puppy, or the guy marinating the dogs in the trunk.... This is benign.

Not as bad as I was expecting compared to plenty of other articles that have been posted here.

Last playoff game we won was against the Chiefs
Fezmid replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah there was... USENet: alt.sports.football.pro.buffalo-bills http://groups.google.nr/group/alt.sports.football.pro.buffalo-bills/about Google only archives from Dec '93 apparently, but I posted there long before that ('89 I think?). -
I still have to finish DA:A...

We try to watch a different movie every year. House of 1000 Corpses was pretty good. This year we're going to watch this french indie flick called "Inside" that's supposed to be really scary and gruesome.

Everyone raves about Fable 2. I haven't played it yet myself... I never heard anything about the first one.
