  1. If you're going to tell a joke, you should probably spell it right...
  2. It's only a 2009 though; the cost of repair probably won't total out the vehicle. A coworker just got caught in a flash flood a few weeks ago. They're replacing all sorts of things (including the engine), but the car isn't being totaled out. FWIW.
  3. It was a BS call though. After the Patriots intercepted Fitz to seal the game, a few of them got together and did some organized salute. They didn't get a penalty (not that it would've mattered). Why did Johnson get a flag for falling down? it was pure BS.
  4. He went to school in the city where I live. Some of my neighbors know his family and say he's a good kid. I hope he sticks, might make some new Bills fans! Did he play today? I didn't see him, but wasn't looking either.
  5. I know, I only said hi to the person I liked. (now let's see if Ryan or Diane get pissed.... )
  6. I don't see the difference -- in both cases, the idea that someone is being "threatened" is ridiculous. If she had said, "You better hope you're never my patient," that might be a LITTLE different, but even then - grow up.
  7. "Sort of" is right.
  8. Ok, let me rephrase - He still hasn't edited his initial post.
  9. And yet you still have the "cheap bastards" and "TW compressing the signal" in the subject line.
  10. Yup - the subject also says "compressing their signal." Pretty cut and dry to me. It doesn't say, "My picture's not as good as before this new box, please help" BTW, we still love the posters that work for TW, despite the fact that they work at TW. (Hi Harriet! )
  11. But not a funny one.
  12. The way the post started, I thought it was going to be a funny joke,...
  13. My name's FEZMID, dammit! Now I'm stressed out. Thanks a lot.
  14. Yeah, if you want the picture to look nothing like the director intended....
  15. It's really that stressful when someone calls you DAN instead of DON?!?!
  16. Really, Dan, that's how you wanted to waste your 500th post on the board?
  17. Come on BF, Dan obviously does not appreciate your comments, so leave him alone. I'd still recommend switching to DirecTV or Dish or FiOS. (not U-Verse tho... ).
  18. With an hour left, he's at over $86,000. Sounds like good seed money for his new company.
  19. It is an evil cable company though.... They really could be guilty. Dan should just go with DirecTV, Dish, or FiOS. Screw TW!
  20. Just because there's bars on the top and bottom doesn't mean there's something wrong with your setup. Read up on "aspect ratios." A movie like Lord of the Rings will have big bars on the top and bottom of the screen because it's shot at 2.35:1. A romantic comedy will probably have small bars at the top and bottom because it's shot at 1.78:1 (I believe?). Normal television shows will fill the entire screen, because they're shot at 16:9 ratio. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspect_ratio_%28image%29
  21. Nobody seems to talk about the headsets going out anymore... Everytime teams played the Patriots, the headsets would seem to go out ... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writers/dr_z/09/13/cheating/
  22. Nobody's saying the team looks awesome -- but you don't fire people after *TWO FREAK'N GAMES* unless you're a complete and total moron.
  23. I don't tune into Top 40 radio stations and I know who she is...She was EVERYWHERE in the media when her first song (I Kissed a Girl) came out. I've heard the song that was in the Sesame Street bit as well, but I didn't know the name of it. It's like Nickelback - people say, "I've never heard of them," but you've heard their music at one time or another (assuming that person hasn't REALLY been living in a cave... )
  24. Jessica Alba - Recent Buzz Aldrin - Educational, not popstar Jason Alexander - recent Maya Angelou - Educational Kofi Annan - hardly a popstar, probably educational India Arie - Who? Looks recent though, as she was born in 1975 Alan Arkin -Who? Arthur Ashe - What was the date? I'm not arguing that they're putting pop stars on now - I'm arguing that I don't remember any of them from the late 70s, and the list you put in this post backs that as the older people (Aldrin, Angelou) could be covering good educational topics for kids.
  25. You're fooling yourself if you don't think this is marketing. You really think that adults wanted to hear Katie Perry's song? Doubtful. That list on Wikipedia needs to include dates.... Maybe there were a bunch in the 70s that like you said, I just don't remember...
