Such as....? I haven't heard of anything but I don't generally pay attention either so I'm curious what they have to compete with.
-
I don't think that's actually true though... I think that's just for a loose ball. The Patriots game, for example -- the ball was on the ground, the unconscious player's toe was out of bounds and he touched the ball. That makes the ball out of bounds. I don't think the same is true with player touching player though. Otherwise an out pattern would be a lot harder to complete -- player jumps to make the catch, defender steps out of bounds and touches the receiver, he's out of bounds. Don't think it works that way.

There's nothing to say that you won't be able to use a controller in conjunction with Kinect. For example, lean your head to the right to peer around a corner, but still hold your controller for movement. The system can also identify who you are and automatically log you in, which is pretty awesome. Also - Xbox didn't back the wrong horse by skipping the BD player. Why do you think the PS3 cost so much more than the 360, especially at release? It's because it had a BD player, and the laser was very expensive. This is one of the reasons the 360 has such a huge sales lead, and therefore such a huge software sales lead. Look at any game released on both the 360 and the PS3, and the 360 version always sells more units since there's more consoles out there.

Time Traveler caught on tape in 1928

Yup, still alive. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/vbasic/default.aspx -
About time. Couldn't figure out why the Wii and PS3 needed the stupid disk. Unless it was a timed exclusive for the Xbox... A lot of things are exclusive on the 360 first, and I'm sure some (all?) of that is money related.

Time Traveler caught on tape in 1928

I watch CSI, I know that you can digitally enhance the picture from a crappy black and white surveillance camera from a drugstore enough to be able to see the killer's face reflected off of the rear-view mirror of a car in the parking lot. So of COURSE a simple close up will look good. In fact, CSI probably got that technology from the time travellers! It all makes sense. Sheesh. -
I have no idea.

Then why did Baltimore do it in OT to get a fumble....?

Seriously though, when Microsoft releases a new console, you really think Sony will be able to sit back and say, "But our console is advanced! It's so advanced we haven't been able to have games with better graphics than the old Microsoft console!" Even if it WERE true (it's not), they'd lose the PR battle in no time. Plus, it's still much easier to program for the 360 than it is the PS3. I suspect both companies will release new consoles in a few years --- but it won't be soon, so don't make a purchasing decision based on that right now.

Don't believe the hype.

You can say that, but it actually isn't true - the 360 generally has better graphics in a lot of games, although I doubt most people would notice - the difference isn't that great. The 360 will soon (month or so) have ESPN 360 streaming on it -- that could be a huge difference maker if you like watching sports. They're also further ahead in IPTV. I'm surprised to hear about all of the negative online experiences -- but I suppose I play with people I know 80% of the time so it's not that big of a deal. There's a thread in the Consumer Forum with gamertags for TSW folks. Online play isn't free, but it's only ~$40/year if you shop around. I actually got three years for $90. The service provides a lot more than the PS3, thus the cost. Keep in mind also that Xbox will be releasing Kinect in a few weeks - it's a camera system that can sense your motions and can be used to play games, control the 360, etc. It supposedly can sense multiple people, and can do facial recognition to know who you are. Time will tell how good it is, and it costs $150, but nobody else has anything like it. http://www.neowin.net/news/microsofts-first-kinect-prototype-cost-them-30000 The list of exclusive titles is a big factor as well, as a previous poster mentioned. Also, a lot of content comes out to the 360 before the PS3 (Fallout DLC, for example) so if you want to play it first, you need a 360. If you have patience (3-6 months usually), it's a wash. Controller is purely a personal decision. I really don't like the PS3 controller, but love the 360 controller. You should try 'em both out if possible. Personally, I think the 360 has better exclusive titles (Halo, Gears of War, Crackdown, Fable), but some people would say MSG is better, so look at what kind of games you prefer.

[closed]Corner's right elbow was in bounds
Fezmid replied to Gisele's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree with you 100%. http://www.fezam.com/elbow.jpg -
I haven't heard too many complaints about the refs this year... At least not from Bills fans.
-
It should've been an INT, his right elbow clearly hits the ground in front of the white out of bounds stripe, an 1 elbow = 2 feet. http://www.fezam.com/elbow.jpg

You should check the chatroom in this thread: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/120715-billsjets-chat-room-info/ You'll get better play by play that way.

New Iphone can do everything but make phone calls
Fezmid replied to Fingon's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Do what I did - get a job where your company picks up your entire phone bill. (of course the downside is that I'm on call 24x7....) -
Not "just to say you did." Like I said, my coworker is thinking about it because he reads contracts all day and it'd be a helpful skill to have. I have no idea why my wife's cousin didn't.... Wasn't ready to enter the "real world" yet?
-
Actually, a lot of people go to law school with no intentions of practicing law. One of my coworkers works in BC/DR (business continuity/disaster recovery) and reads a TON of contracts. He's thinking about getting his JD to help him understand the contracts that are presented. My wife's cousin went to law school and didn't want to practice law when she was done either.
-
And here I thought people went to school not to get a job, bu to learn... BC taught him, he learned stuff, why doesn't he think he should pay for that? I'm in grad school myself (at a private school), but I'm not going for a job - I'm going to learn stuff.

You're in luck, they won't go to Buffalo this year! (we play in MInnesota this year. ).

I agree about violence, but not about the censorship. Have you ever seen Precious? Great movie -- with violence against a child, but not violence for the sake of violence. Very compelling movie.

Just went to see the Rock of Ages musical last night. Nothing wrong with the stupid hair metal thing.
