One of my friends has a 14 year old daughter and in a couple of weeks her school is requiring all of the students to go to a professional job for a day and write about what the job is like. For some reason she decided she wanted to see my job (apparently it'll be just as boring as her parents' jobs, but since I'm not one of her parents, that makes mine cooler ) All she has to do is "shadow" me for the day, but I feel like I should try to show her more than boring meetings, ticket queues and the like... I'll show her a couple of our server rooms, but aside from that I have no ideas... Has anybody else ever done a career day like this? And if so, what did you show the kids?

I have some good news and some bad news... Good news - I'M FREAK'N RICH!!!!! Even a 6th round contract will be some good cash!!!! The bad news... Our front office DOES suck if they think I can play... I mean I'll TRY (a little....), but I'm pretty sure I'll get injured during training camp. Have to get as much guaranteed money in my contract as possible. Anyone want to join my entourage? I need people to follow me around and say how great I am! Do you know who I am?!?! It's actually nothing like downloading songs off the internet... Not even close. I went to the first ever Bandits game back in the MILL, so I know the crowds there are great. They're very good in Minnesota as well, but not quite at that level yet. The past two games they've averaged around 9,500 fans which is cool. They used to get around that many every game in years past, but part of that was because season ticket holders were given a "buy 2 get 2 free" promotion which inflated the numbers. Now it's "buy 2 get 2 half price," and the numbers are still going up as the season carries on so I think it's working out pretty well. It'll be interesting to see how many are at the playoff game on Saturday. What's so funny....?

I know that there's some box LAX fans here. The Bandits have once again won their division. The Swarm managed to get the 2nd seed in their conference and host their 2nd ever home playoff game. Can't wait!!! The Swarm had a season ticket holder event after the game where fans go on the field and chat with the players and get autographs. Kevin Ross, a Swarm player, noticed my Bills jacket and asked if I was a fan. Turns out he grew up in Buffalo and went to Canisius. Kinda cool. Anyway, go Swarm and go Bandits! (and go Sabres tomorrow )

And if you're wrong, will you change your picture to that of a Sabres logo?

In other news, Toys R Us is being sued because they have toys in there that parents are FORCED to go in and buy.

They do that in India all the time from what I hear from coworkers who travel there.
