  1. I read on the NY Times that the deadline to free up space may be extended from 4pm to 10pm tonight to allow for any last minute deals, but I cant see that happening.
  2. The thing to keep in mind here is that all teams are having to go through this purging process thanks in large part to the CBA issue. If anything this really may level the playing field and provided good draft picks and a key FA signing or two are made, we could possibly be a playoff contender. Course, you could say the same thing every year.
  3. Isnt that 3/4ths their statring secondary? Wow!
  4. I'm sure Campbell, Milloy and Adams are keeping his seat warm on the bus.
  5. I was thinking the same thing. Seems like the older vets are really getting shafted by no agreement. If their own teams cant retain them, there wont be much in the way of other teams making offers.
  6. Ah yes, forgot about that one. Concert hall full of lesbians - LOL!
  7. Now you got me to play the Greatest Hits vol 1 set, the only one I've had a chance to load on my laptop. I'm gonna have to load the rest of 'em tonight. Thanks
  8. Tracy Chapman - Fast Car.
  9. [bTW, nice username/avatar. I'm listening to "Voodoo Chile/Slight Return" now from "Couldn't Stand The Weather"] 612888[/snapback] Voodoo Chile is one of my favorites. SRV - there's a life cut too short.
  10. Interesting, all 3 were about the same age - 82 (Knotts and McGavin), 81 (Weaver).
  11. Analysis from another site: http://www.nflfans.com/x/2006/showprospect...ny%20Montgomery
  12. And dont forget, the Super Bowl was fixed!
  13. I dont think ol Tom has to worry about that. I kid, I kid.
  14. Agreed, its a matter of targeting the weaknesses, addressing it, and making a committment to stick with it. In the case of the O-line its drafting or aquiring players for a specific spot and leaving them there. You're right in that the old regime's thought process was to get a body and "lets see if it'll work right here....nope, maybe over here". Maybe now things will get done the right way.
  15. You know, I never really looked at it this way, but I think you make a very valid observation. That being said, I think Gandy should still be moved to LG!
  16. If I'm not mistaken, McNally coached Petigout while he was with the Giants, and Luke wasnt all that bad under his tutelage. Certainly worthy of a look at either Tackle spot if he becomes free, even for depth.
  17. Very good ideas! Now if only we could get Marv to listen.
  18. All Lindell needs is a better O-Line in front of him and.....oops, wrong discussion.
  19. Andy Reid and Donavan McNabb thought they could make it work with TO. TO marches to the beat of his own drummer, let him be someone else's problem.
  20. Probably came up with more compromising pictures of ralph.
  21. Thanks for the info. He must do a hell of a job having survived so many years through the different coaching regimes. I even recall a few years back when Cotrell became DC for the Jets that he wanted to bring Lester with him and name him LB coach there, but either Chuck refused or was denied, dont recall which one.
  22. You know what i find unusual is that Lester has LB coaching experience and was a LB coach at one point, and is now Defensive Asst. Isnt that sort of a demotion? I mean, isnt that akin to a quality control role (breaking down film, handing out the playbooks, fetching coffee for the other coaches, etc)?
  23. Bates only served under Sherman for one year, and I dont think he ever worked with him prior to that. I think many people are overestimating the Sherman/Bates relationship, I have never seen it reported that they have any kind of a personal relationship.
  24. He....sniff...DIED?!?!?!? NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
  25. Another thing I disagree with is his calling Pendry's style ultra-conservative. True, he was mostly a run-oriented coach while at KC and other teams I cant recall, but when he came to Buffalo, he actually ran a more wide-open offense, especially when Flutie became QB. If anything I'd say he adapted more to the personnel on hand than any of the other coaches. But thats all in the past.
