  1. LOL - I stand corrected!
  2. Your optimism and enthusiasm are commendable, but you also need to temper it with a good dose of reality. Our team has stunk (too put it mildly) for so many years now. They have not shown any consistent improvement. They have gone through coaching changes, mgmt changes, personnel changes and we still wind up heartbroken at the end of every season. And the one constant glaring weakness, season after season, has never been satisfactorally (sp) addressed - the O Line. And unfortunately, this off season that trend seems to be continuing. The state of most of us, I would say, is more "show me the proof" than blindly shouting "yay team!", and you cant fault anyone for that.
  3. Gotta give the man (or kid) props for "the putrid Benny Anderson". That made me chuckle.
  4. That was classic!
  5. Marv is still rambling on at this hour about the Battlle of the Bulge, while Jason is snoring.
  6. Or Cyclops?
  7. I think my colon just clenched!
  8. Oh boy, I could just hear the howls if that signing were to happen!
  9. Its sad when signing one scrub to replace another scrub is what we have to look forward to.
  10. Marv Levy on the phone: "Hello Sam, we were only kidding."
  11. Thats the problem with you T, you're so easy to please!
  12. That would be great, but I have a bad feeling Levy and crew are high on Preston as the starter, and I dont think he's shown enough to be ready, IMO.
  13. Not to mention Huff is versatile enough to play any of the secondary positions, not just Safety.
  14. Damn, Dean! Your avatars just keep getting creepier and creepier.
  15. Who cares what the talking head a-holes have to say, all that matters is what happens on the field. And how can anyone honestly believe that a free agent would make a decision not to come based on listening to those sound bytes. This whole thing (RW's response) is getting blown out of proportion.
  16. Best of luck, health and happiness to your whole family!
  17. Is Mularkey greeting him at the airport?
  18. I'll bet Joe Gibbs is wishing he was back at NASCAR.
  19. That ticks me off. Even if the talks are going nowhere today, and the deadline was extended until tomorrow evening, why the hell is Upshaw leaving. Stay there and keep negotiations going. Take a break when you have to, then go back at it until tomorrow when it is completely over. Too much freakin' posturing.
  20. Much like our former pro-bowl DT, huh?
  21. I had read some time ago (dont quite remember where) that the networks would expect the TV contracts to be broken or at least the price to come significantly down if there is a lockout. As one TV exec stated (and I paraphrase), they wouldnt pay all those millions in broadcast rights to broadcast scabs. I agree, despite the high price tag, this is a big revenue maker for the networks and you would think they would get involved to some degree.
  22. This might be good. It might mean they are negotiating with some progress. Otherwise, why extend 3 days?
  23. I wouldnt neccesarily agree that they would be able to buy a championship team. Afterall, even during the past capped years, he still managed to pay ridiculous amounts of money to FA's and what did that get them? True, he can buy more marquee names in an uncapped year, but I firmly believe that it will always take a great TEAM to win, and not necessarily a team of great players.
  24. Thanks, guess I'm a little behind the Times!
