Al Lipscomb before his run on the City Council, would come in raise holy heck and have to be physically removed. then when Diana Ragsdale was on she was always up for raising holy heck. It was reported in the 1990s that when Atlanta would have company executives come to town to talk about moving there, they would show them video of the Dallas City Council and tell them if they move there, they'll have to deal with that.

No, they'll still be getting $2 an hour to send back. We have a minimum wage now that they already earn less than. I don't see that changing with the minimum wage going up. Very well could just be more of them.

I too believe this to be a problem exacerbated by our "leaders" (politicians). Except I put the blame elsewhere. Cheap labor is what it's all about. We know the industries that benefit from this. Construction, landscaping, restaurants, farming, and hotels for example. There are others of course. They have lobbyists and buy up some politicians to sit on their hands while all this goes on. It's not a coincidence that the only guy really talking this up and actually has a plan is the guy that doesn't take big money from lobbyists. The rest of 'em just want to feed it lip service and do nothing so as to keep the money rolling in. I'm not necessarily a Trump guy, but he at least has a plan. No one else likes it, but they don't have a plan of their own.
