Baloney my a$$ If suddenly everyone has INSURANCE, then the have money (INSURANCE payment to CARE providers) to pay for CARE. If there are not enough doctor/clinics etc. and money is there (INSURANCE) not being collected, Some smart enterprising free market entrepreneur will build a clinic and hire doctors to fill the need (CARE).

Do you get paid for overtime work?
reddogblitz replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Not sure if companies would like it. Those future days off become a liability. Bad for tax purposes. Especially if it's like any job I've ever had where you got "comp time". Of course other prorities came up and you could never use it. -
I haven't penciled it out. But it should cost less than what we got. The economies of scale and having everyone in would bring down the cost. And negotiating for drug prices would save a ton. We're paying for everyone as it is. Medicaid, subsidies, Medicare, poor people going to emergency room. We're just paying a much higher price than we should be.

2018 NFL Mock Draft: Bills land QB
reddogblitz replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't want to draft Rosen. He's good, but he's a head case. https://www.si.com/college-football/2016/05/23/ucla-jim-mora-josh-rosen-johnny-manziel-donald-trump-hat -
You didn't ask me,but I have a plan. The feds will buy every person in America a basic health care plan. Covers emergency room, doctors visits, medications etc. To pay for it we will raise everyone's taxes by 2% or whatever. Then, EVERYONE is covered and EVERYONE buys in, even the young healthy 10 foot tall bullet proof types. The benefits would be: 1 It would the largest pool. 2 No more need for high risk pools etc. 3 No more regulations on companies to supply coverage to employees. 4 no more forcing people to buy a product. (You don't have the option if the government buys a new aircraft carrier, you just get it as you would insurance in my plan). 5. Everyone is covered. 6. A requirement would be we could negotiate on drug prices like other countries do. 7. A lot easier/cheaper to manage. 8. Economies of scale. 9. Insurance not tied to employment. If you want more extensive coverage, you can buy it.

5 QBs, only 3 will be retained.
reddogblitz replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
and/or your starter slips on a mat and then 2PS games later he gets a concussion and is done. Then your rookie second stringer gets a sore knee and you have to bring it boat people to try out at QB in the last pre season game. I agree. Keep all 5 through PS in case someone gets injured. -
Would you, right now, trade TT for Deshaun Watson?
reddogblitz replied to BringBackOrton's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, sort of. The D played a big role in us missing the playoffs (again). But if Hotrod had thown for 10 more yards, we would have been 9-6 heading into week 17. Against Hawks we had 1st and goal FOR THE WIN. He couldn't get it done. Against Fish we got to red zone twice and couldn't get in FOR THE WIN. On the play before Dan missed the FG, he had Goodwin wide open in EZ and missed him. We also had a chance late vs his old team. He needs to improve in situations like that. ALL the rest I'm good with. -

I disagree. He's just getting warmed up. Or he throws too many picks. He threw a lot in college. And they don't even play defense in college. -
People with pre existing conditions need insurance so when the pharmaceutical companies jack up the prices of thier medication in the name of the almighty dollar, they can still afford to stay alive. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/30/health/drugmakers-lawsuit-insulin-drugs.html?_r=0 This is the kind of stuff that makes our health care system so expensive. But it can never be fixed because congress is in the pockets of pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies, and all the middle men in between. Insurance is only 1 small part.

Need more travel advice - This time Dallas.
reddogblitz replied to thebug's topic in Off the Wall Archives
If you have time, go to 6th floor museum. the weather should be nice. Could still get hot, but not summer hot. (I was born in Dallas and lived there 40+ years) Also, go to Sonny Bryan's on Inwood. Any El Fenix, or better yet, go to any hole in the wall Mexican place. It's a redneck state, so weed is illegal. Have fun! -

Except Flutie and a lot of Bills fans didn't like him either. Our D was good enough to win vs Fish AND Hawks IF our QB could have gotten us in EZ from 1st and goal. He had Goodwin open in EZ but made a bad throw the play before the missed FG vs Fish. I like Hotrod and hope he does better in situations like that. The whole team needs to do better, not just Hotrod or not just the D, or just the kicker. EVERYONE. -

That's what everyone said about Trent Dilfer and Jeff Hostettler. -
Don't know. But I loved Colbert's old show on Comedy. His new show is lame. When did these late night guys get so political? Carson and Leno and Letterman always did political humor some. But they were equal opportunity. Whoever was prez got made fun of. Now it's almost like watching a show on MSNBC.

I see this pretty often and find it odd. Comedians who put thier liberal positions into thier routine. You know, gay marriage, call people homophobes etc. Then they ridicule others with gay humor. Colbert did it here. Bill Maher does it too. I think I've even heard Al Franken do it. This joke doesn't sound very inclusive.

Peterman will be the starter.

This is pretty much my take on Hotrod as well. I don't care about throwing over the middle blah blah blah. He would just fine AS IS if he can improve on late game comeback ability. Had he been able to win 1/2 those close games, we'd have been in the playoffs. He had Goodwin open in the EZ but made a horrible throw vs Fish on one of those last 2 drives. In Seattle we had 1st and goal for the W. If he improves that this year (and the D helps) we should be good (playoffs). But then again, that's pretty much been our problem throughout the drought. -
Nice. Welcome aboard Stank_Nasty.

We're talking offense here. We lost several games because D stunk. Like the Fish and first Jets game for example. We scored a ton of points in those games. Not thier fault the D only had 10 men on the field. I'll take pride where I can get it. Especially top 10 scoring O when our offenses have stunk for a decade. We need better everything. -
I know you don't like him Gug, but as I recall Tebow was a big part of them making and winning a playoff game. They won several late when the other team KNEW what he was going to do and he ran over them anyway. I especially remember one such loss he layed on Rex. It was great. You picked a bad example. Why not just go with the perennial favorite, Trent Dilfer .
-
I don't know Gug. I'm totally off board with the whole "TANK" thing. Who is all this talent we've gotten rid of? Gilmore and Woods? They've already been replaced. I just think y'all tankers have been losing for so long you don't even know what trying to win is anymore or why anyone would seriously try to do it. We won 7 games last year with a 10 man defense and didn't even try to win the last one. Get the D back to top 12 or so, don't fug up the O, our kicker makes FGs, we're back to winning. Screw tanking, Let's win some games !!!

Points count on the score board, not passing yards. There are no style points on football.
