  1. the team was exactly .500 the 3 years before they got here and we did make the playoffs their first season. Couldn't have been that bad. the problem with the team when they got here was coaching, not talent.
  2. This is my latest concern. If this keeps up, players are going to get pissed and start dividing the locker room etc. It could get to a point like that season when Aaron Schoebel retired because it was such a tire fire. Then next year we'll have to run off all the guys that didn't "buy in" this year creating even more holes. What ever happened to win AND rebuild?
  3. I don't like it one bit. Going from playoffs (luck/skill take your pick) to hiddeously worst in the league shows total and utter ineptness IMHO. Yeah I know rebuild blah blah blah. But this is a big ask for season ticket holders or people who live in other cities and buy DirectTV or whatever to watch the games. I have seasons and fly all the way across the country, stay in hotels, and stay with in laws for a whole week to go to a couple of games. And now I gotta watch this? It's also gonna be a hit on all the loyal Bills Bars around the country who will take in the shorts in November/December when last year they were rockin'. It didn't have to be this bad. We were 2 games over .500 the last 4 years with one playoff appearance. We weren't some bottom rung team spinning our wheels. What happened to re build while winning? Seemed to work last year. I don't hear that so much anymore. Beane is starting to remind me of Robert Preston character in the Music Man. Come in, make huge promises and then fail miserably to deliver. We'll see if he can deliver next year I guess. My concern now is that with all this losing and looking silly, we'll get into a situation like when Schoebel quit. We'll have to dump more guys because they don't "buy in". Putting us further behind. It's a treadmill approach. Run off good guys and replace them with guys that aren't as good to get more good guys later. Let the birds in your hand go to get better birds from the bush. i was not raised as a Bills fan but due to love of a good woman I became one in 1996. We rooted for another team when growing up. I was taught to try to win EVERY game. Losing is for losers. The whole notion of losing on purpose so you might be better someday down the road is foreign and repugnant to me. So I have a hard time with this whole Tank/rebuild nonsense. It'll all come down to if they can draft/sign FAs very effectively. If they are good, they should be able to get us back to 2014 levels by 2020 if Josh Allen turns out to be as good as Kyle Orton (far from a given). THEY BETTER BE GOOD
  4. I agree. Even some of the completions he did get like the Dimarco one an average QB could have put it where he could get some YAC. An average Qb hits the RB on the very shot pass and he takes if 15 yards up field for a first down as opposed to killing a drive. Stuff like that. Plays were there to be made that were missed. Both picks. Rookie mistakes.
  5. This whole rebuild thing depends on several thing all happing: 1. JOsh Allen is a franchise QB. 2. Beane can draft stud players with all his draft picks, 10 I think t is 3. Beane must HIT on the FA signings next year. 4. The have to win at least 8 games by 2020 Really, they'll be doing well if they can get back to 2014/2015 level talent by 2020 IMHO. If i had any confidence that the Bills can get worse on purpose and then get better within a couple of years, I'd be all for it. But I don't. Hopefully it works out. Go BILLS !!
  6. This is one thing that has bugged me about "The Process" from the beginning. they want to build through the draft. So the first thing they do is get rid of all the guys we drafted in the last few years. Talk about derailing your plan.
  7. This seems to happen a lot. Chris Hogan. Dareus. Robert Woods. Deonte Thompson had a good night for Dallas. Darby. The Beast ...
  8. Ragland is starting at ILB for the 2-0 Chiefs
  9. Actually I think it started last week with the "it's only our second year" excuse.
  10. hawks plan was better. The went 7-9 the 2 years before they took off. They then in one off season signed Matt Flynn, kept incumbant Tarvaris , and drafted Russell. build up your team so that when you get a good QB you plug him in and you're off to the races. Saints did a similar thing before getting Brees. bills decided to gut the team of talent and then throw in a rookie project QB. Interesting. I hope it works.
  11. will be be a historically bad QB setting records for futility too? my question is what is taking so long?
  12. If you question the bolded, you might be bothered perhaps.
  13. I just think the best team wins more than the teams that aren't as good. PERIOD. If we weren't that good last year, why didn't the better teams make it instead of us? THERE WEREN'T ANY. I know that's hard for a lot of Bills fans to accept, but it's true.
  14. Only "difference makers" should stay on the team? We got a lot of guys we can cut as do most teams.
  15. Just win baby. They don't tally up the stats at the end of the game to determine the winner. Team with the most points wins even if the are "lucky". They also don't tally them up at the end of the season to determine playoffs. It's how real football works. Maybe you should stick to fantasy football. Then you might have a valid point.
  16. and Dalton threw a great block to free up Shady in the snow bowl in over time.
  17. nasty Nate was throwing him the football.
  18. How many other teams have the dearth at WR we have? how many other teams had historically bad shawty Nate throwing their WRs the football? It's all relative. They must have thought he was good when they signed him instead of other guys. What happened? Did Kerley forget how to play, or was it bad talent evaluation (AGAIN)?
  19. You better hope these guys can draft of whatever. They got a lot of self dug holes to fill. More will.open up after the season. Just because you have 90 million in cap space or whatever doesn't mean guys like Julio Jones and Aaron Donald and Andrew Whitworth fall in your lap. If they're good they may be able to get the talent level back up to 2014/2015 talent level by 2020. And that's if Josh turns out to be as good as Kyle Orton which is anything but guaranteed.
  20. Cardale got one 1/2 in a final season tire fire game. Not fair.
