  1. Look at Tannehill's contract. That's the a very REAL possibility for TT if he keeps improving. One or both of them don't have to be "franchise" (I hate that term) guys for one to demand more money than he's worth, leading to him being supplanted by a guy who's not a HUGE step down in performance, but an ENORMOUS step down in cost.
  2. EJ's development will determine that. I'm not saying you're wrong. But I'm also not willing to sign off on what you saying being absolute.
  3. Somebody get Yolo a Snickers, please.
  4. Well, no a trade is out of the question, unless Whaley (has he's proven capable of) can find a serious sucker to give up the farm for TT. But LOSING TT when he becomes unaffordable is PERFECTLY within the realm of possibility, making EJ the latest insurance policy.
  5. I had the same thought. OP deserves no flame.
  6. He's identified a worst-case scenario. And it's a pretty damn good one. But it's not the plan.
  7. Re: Sullivan, one thing I'll never understand is when people express outrage over something they freely admit is beyond their comprehension. He kept saying "I don't understand why" Well, okay, Jerry, then !@#$ing take a beat and try and figure it out. It's really not that !@#$ing difficult. Why was Cassel the backup in the first two weeks? 1.) Insurance. 2.) It gave EJ two extra weeks to prove they saw what they saw during TC and PS and 3.) !@#$ING HELLO: it increased his trade value. Jesus, TWO inconsequential weeks to determine they're comfortable with what they had in EJ and drove Cassel's value up in the meantime, while OH BY THE WAY, getting him back at a bargain discount. Cassel was ALWAYS an insurance plan. Will Sullivan lay on his death bed and say "We'll somebody please help me understand why I spent all those years on flood insurance when there was never any floods!?" Jerry Sullivan is annoying when he's needlessly contrarian. He's even worse when he's just plainly dense.
  8. Other ideas were exchanged in the 22 other posts.
  9. Prescient. This thread was prescient.
  10. 12 hours later.
  11. So Colts now have approx 72/90 scoreless minutes?
  12. Earlier today I made the point the Colts win wasn't really all that. A lot of game to be played, but it's points that's getting harder and harder to dispute.
  13. I'll wait to see if they bounce back tonight at home against NYJ. If they don't, I won't be shocked.
  14. I thought the same thing. I thought a third or a fourth would be reasonable. That division is wide open and Weeden is TERRIBLE.
  15. Keep telling yourself that. The Colts are a weak team.
  16. It's also worth noting that in the second half, the offensive game plan was severely hamstrung by penalties.
  17. Rex not always solid against the run? "Depends on what years you look at?" Um... Okay, let's look at the years. Beginning in 2005, in his first year as D coordinator with Baltimore, through his time as HC with NYJ, here's where his defenses have ranked in the NFL in YPA: Ninth Second First Fifth First Fourth Seventh Twentieth First Sixth So, yeah. I guess if you look at that ONE year, his run defenses aren't always top 10. Never mind they were top-5 six times and number one three times.
  18. The best part--imo--is when Murph asks him about his first college run and they talk about how THAT was a touch down also and KW then proceeds to detail precisely which players threw which blocks in different parts of the field to spring him. Dude's no dummy.
  19. If you're impressed now, just take a listen to his interview with Murph yesterday. WOW
  20. On Murph's show yesterday ALL the players gushed about the crowd noise. Said it was disruptive at times. Rex says the D has to prepare for it. And that was against the Colts. Sunday is going to be INSANE
  21. "Sure, hon. How much ya got?"
  22. I had hoped this would be a thread about Italian restaurants only the locals know.
