I think you're right. I may get stoned for saying this but in the long run we may be better off. He cant stay healthy and the older you get the harder it is to stay healthy and recover from those injuries, so Is it better to have a MVP running back for half the season, or someone who can be a solid contributor to compliment CJ for an entire season. Not to mention our organization is very high on CJ and what CJ did at the end of the season showed them that their guy is ready.

its not really power rankings it just the ranking of teams at the end of the season, Its just the draft order backwards. You think they would have moved teams around based on Free agent signings or something.

whatever you call you have to take in account that he his missed a significant amount of playing time in his short career.

Health may also be an issue with Fred, Freddy has had his fair share of injuries. Since he has seen significant playing time I cant recall when he has made a full season. If we are committed to getting to the post season we have to be able to count on our best players being on the field, especially in our situation where we have to have our team firing on all cylinders together because we don't have a Tom Brady or an Aaron Rodgers to carry us. For some reason its easy to knock Demetrius Bell and Roscoe Parrish for chronic injuries but its taboo to mention Freddy or Eric Woods inability to remain healthy.

Thats Chan....I like him but he is a stubborn SOB, If he wants to pass he will pass, regardless if our WR corps are depleted and the running game is working, If he wants Choice to get the ball Choice is going to get he ball even if Spillers picking up yards. Same with the 3-4 defense, he thought it provided more problems with the defense, so we ran a 3-4 until we where beat back to the 4-3.

Career ending or not Its very common to have a decline in power after the injury. It also can take 9-12 months to rehab an ACL...Wood got hurt in week 11, you do the math. Not to mention In 3 years Wood hasn't played 16 games, we all talk about Bell being injury prone but Woods has been carted of his fair share, with much more severe injuries and Woods absents hurts our offense far more than Bells.

It might be a blessing in disguise.....Woods legs have taking a serous beating over the last 3 years with a broken leg, and ankle injury, and a torn ACL you have to wonder if he will return to form. An ACL injury is a huge setback for a linemen and career ending in some cases. If we have Decastro and Wood is not healthy, Urbick can slide to Center and we still can maintain a very solid interior. Wood rehabbed back from what i believe was a broken tibia and fibula, if he can rehab back after ACL surgery he is one tough son of a b*tch

If Chan would commit to the run, develop the wildcat in the offseason, anything to keep the chains moving and the clock ticking would be helpful. I tt would keep Brady on the sidelines. Ive said it before, the Patriots as a team are not that good, your playing Brady, you slow down Brady to beat the Pats. We cant go 3 and out or turn the ball over and keep giving him opportunities.

If memory serves me correctly I believe he was covering the slot at the beginning of the season, while Florence and McKelvin took the outside duties.
