I want to emphasize #5. 1st couple of games, calls were coming in 10 seconds before the play clock ran out. Tyrod then has to get everyone lined up, take a couple seconds to read the D and get the play off. Today, plays were coming in quick, and Taylor had time to actually read the defense. Not so sure the analysis that he can't read defenses is accurate. No one can if you are rushing just to get a play off before the play clock runs out. I think some kudos for this game can go to Anthony Lynn today. His decision to sit up in the play box was a good one. Time will tell, but this is something I want to monitor next week. BTW that pass to O'Leary down the sideline was sweet.

A win next week and it actually will be "game on" for Buffalo's playoff chances. I have to wonder if the Bills start to the season is just an issue of getting into game time form. They really did not put their starters out there in the preseason. Hopefully they are just getting the ball rolling.

Love the hussle of Jerry Hughes but he seems to get that WTF penalty every damn game. Overall great performance by this D, though. Offense seems to be getting into a groove. Let's hope it continues.

I'm a lot more confident that Taylor can escape pressure than Fitzpatrick. Our D is going to bring some heat too. C'mon you guys...this is the Jets you're talking about.

The Jests DLine will bring the pressure, but Tyrod is no Andy Dalton. He will escape the pressure and find some open receivers. Fitz will again inevitably crumble under his own pressure. I'm going Bills on this one. Buffalo can bring the pressure too(4 sacks and numerous pressures against Flacco). Fitz can't handle that. Yes, this is a dominant defense the Bills are facing, but I do believe they have the offensive talent to match. Bills 17 Jests 10

He checked down a lot in this game. Didn't really take many deep shots at all. To be fair though, he did have someone in his face a lot. Baltimore kept sending a defensive back from the edge at him and every time, he seemed surprised by it. An unblocked defender closing fast will make you skittish.

I expect a significant leap forward from the defense. No excuses for this unit this year. They need to set the tone early and prove that they are elite. On offense, I expect to see better redzone/3rd down performance. This unit has a bunch of stars and they performed admirably last year but they certainly have no room for complacency. I want to see improvement. On special teams, I do not want to see easy missed extra points or FGs. I want to see kick coverage units making stops. I want to see deep high punts. Finally, I expect to see fewer penalties. There were way too many boneheaded, unnecessary penalties last year. This needs to end now. Amen! Headed to the fridge now. Zubas colored Blue Lite.
