  1. Well giddy for you.
  2. Look at the film. He finds holes and hits them fast. Unlike Marshawn's dancing last year.
  3. I wonder if that player is still on the board?
  4. I see a lot of negative reactions to the Spiller pick. OK. Doesn't seem to make sense to some because of current RB talent all ready on this team. There is one other variable to add to the equation though. Chan Gailey. We are not going to see the same offense. Why? This is a coach who is known for his ability as an offensive mind, which is a big difference from last year. The addition of Spiller + Gailey = results. Yes, we still have needs. Lets see what the rest of the draft produces. We have 6 more rounds and maybe another trade or two. We could very well surprise some people before this thing is over.
  5. What? and grabbed another running back. That's 3 RBs in the first round?
  6. Tebow just went to Denver.
  7. Who said anything about suicide. I just thought the guy needed a rope.
  8. Want a rope with a good slip knot? I'll send you one.
  9. That's because you have no conscience and certainly not a daughter who lives in western NY.
  10. Were you drinkin' when you wrote that Sixburgh?
  11. What if the Rams are looking to trade down......wouldn't surprise me a bit.
  12. Agreed. Finding a trade partner is the only problem. I wish this would turn out to be a viable option. I hope they don't pick #9 then trade up. I have seen Buffalo do that in the past and end up losing an additional pick. Just don't like like that method.
  13. I think that every year nearly every team in the NFL is looking for a way to trade down and get more picks. Once in a while, a team will bite like Buffalo has and trade up to get who they think is their guy. It would not surprise me if they did the same again.
  14. True that passing plays generate bigger yards, but also less likely to succeed. You can say what you want about running plays, the number of times you actually produce positive yards/play is greater with running plays. You also eat up more clock time. True that having one of the worst passing attacks is one of our offenses biggest faults, but that does not mean you abandon the run.
  15. There are a lot of spread formations, but it is not always intended to be a pass. The pistol offense for instance is really meant to be more of an advantage for running plays. People assume that spreading receivers out automatically means a pass play, but when defenses see a spread, they have to respect the pass and can't put as many men in the box to rush the passer. This can be used to the advantage of a running play. Now it is true that the percentage of passing plays in today's NFL is increasing, but to say that run and stop the run is no longer relevant is just plain dumb, just like saying pass and stop the pass is not relevant. The game is all about finding mismatches. They can be found in both the running and passing offenses.
  16. This is a sport with fans that root for their team. Are you saying you would root for a team knowing the guy is guilty? Or even might be?
  17. Why we want Clausen? Because we like tormenting ourselves?
  18. Not showing up to voluntary workouts is not a red flag. Thurman Thomas never did and neither did Bruce Smith for that matter. A lot of these guys have workouts that are much more productive than what they find in a voluntary workout. The report that he is open to the idea of going somewhere else does not necessarily mean that he wants to go somewhere else. He may actually like this team. People like to speculate, yes but I reiterate that none of us here actually know what he is thinking. Is he uncomfortable? Sure he is and who wouldn't be. The point is, it is much easier to simply write someone off because they have had some problems with the law than it is to give them a chance to set things right. If he is given a chance, he could still be great. If he isn't given the chance, and I am not even going to speculate on that, he could find himself traded. Personally, I think the reason everyone who is so on board with trading the guy is because they are not willing to give the guy his chance. I would hope that the Bill's management has a little more foresight than that. One thing I can't understand is why some of the same people who want to get rid of ML are also open to the idea of going after Ben Rothlesburger. Seems to be a contradiction there. And not that I want him. He is Pittsburgh's problem where as ML is ours. Where I come from, we take care of our own. As for the blow to his pride thing, so what? In my own experience that is more of a motivational reason to produce this year.
  19. I was gonna say it's probably gas.
  20. Who says he isn't happy? Because he didn't come to "voluntary" work outs. I love how one person says something, the story gets passed around a couple thousand times and the next thing you know everyone is making assumptions about what these guys are thinking. I can see how people are by nature speculative, but you don't have a clue what ML is thinking or what his team mates think.
  21. You are 100% right. These conversations are very disturbing. Putting this guy in a Bills uniform would be the end of this franchise forever. I would completely lose interest in NFL football and won't watch another game ever. Any fans that support this would get their just rewards when the team packed up and moved somewhere else and I couldn't care less.
