I don't care what anyone else says. This is exactly the right time to extend Fitzpatrick's contract. Not doing so is stupid. If he lights it up this season, the whole NFL will be bidding on him next year. Not only that, to completely ignore that the guy has all ready earned it would just be plain dirty. These wait and see people are off their rockers.

After a jaw dropping 4 TD performance to start the season, the Bills brass is talking with Fitzpatrick about an extension. Good move, in my opinion. Fitz is a leader that the team respects and rallies behind. It's a good message to send too. Those that perform are rewarded. WGR 550 No one talking to Parish's agent doesn't really bother me much. Doesn't mean he won't be extended in the future or that he will either. Perform, Roscoe and you will be rewarded.

Lights out offers Kudos to the Bills fans

Nice article and they have us rated 15th in the league as well. A blowout win against the Raiders will get us noticed a bit more. -
Fitzpatricks last 16 games

Consistency is overrated. -
Actually, the more arguments I hear in favor of the Raiders, the weaker they sound. I just don't see a threat great enough to even resemble a viable challenge. The crowd is going to cause problems. The defense is going to cause problems. Chan is going to have the offense clicking and the Raiders just don't know whats going to hit them. This is going to be a beat down.....Again.

Our defense doesn't get stretched. We can get away with a 3 or 4 man rush because our big men up front are that good. What that means is passing on us is going to be a big risk. You'll understand when your QB is back there and Kyle Williams, Marcel Dareus or Shawne Merriman are either coming up the middle crushing your o-line or coming off the edge. You can't double all of these guys. Meanwhile, because there are only 4 guys rushing, everyone one else is blanketing your receivers. Your only real offensive chance is the run game. You should stick to that because passing won't work. You forget that the Bills run a spread offense and their defense practices against it every day. Actually, the more I think about it, this is going to be another blow out.

Dude you are seriously delusional if you think anyone is throwing this offensive line back. The interior oline does not get pushed around period. The only way to get after Fitz is from the edge, so go ahead and try to exploit Pears. We'll have a TE or a running back chipping your edge rushers out of the play every time.

Highly recommend taking a camper and showing up early. There is nothing more rewarding than mingling with other Bills fans. Many people through the years and from completely different walks of life become tailgate friends. They then make plans to meet up with each other at another game devising bigger, better ideas for the next trip to the Ralph. It's really just a matter of what you like to do. But people like good food and good beer in general. What you bring is completely up to you.

Corn biscuits.....Mmmmmmmmm.

The Patriots were playing a no huddle offense. Blitz baby. Get in Brady's face.

Can he get a pay raise without a long extension. Or possibly just a short extension? That would be nice. He has what? 2 years left on his current contract?

Yes, there are some young players coming into their own. That play where Byrd dropped Charles for a 6 yard loss on a screen pass was awesome. I was reading an article talking about it that makes a lot of sense. They said Byrd is able to make that play because other guys in the defense are where they are supposed to be. But it's more than that. Byrd is able to make the play because he trusts that the other guys are where they are supposed to be. It's real hard to stay grounded when you see sooo many positive things happening. Nearly all of us have been guilty of being critical of our offensive line, but I have to say it The OL came out and played at a very high level Sunday. WTF... that was my perceived biggest weakness on this team and they actually dominated? How does that happen? Then there is that feeling you get when you just know that something terrible is going to happen. Like when you throw a touchdown catch and watch as the play is reviewed...that sinking feeling...it is then discovered that the receiver didn't maintain possession as he went out of bounds and the play goes back. To make matters worse a penalty is called on the next play making a field goal attempt even longer. Still a 49 yarder shouldn't be that hard to make, right? Yes, Wide right. But of course all of that didn't happen to the Bills. It happened to the Chiefs. I almost felt sorry for them. Almost. I get the feeling that someone one this team from the deep south knows voodoo. The curse that has been the Bills' for the last 10 years has been transferred to the KC Chiefs. Hey, that works for me, whoever is responsible. My other biggest concern was seeing Fitzy get wild, which he did to a small degree. But man did he make up for it. Four touchdown passes? Are you kidding me? Zero interceptions? Two of the TDs to a TE? Somebody explain to me what just happened here. This game added to the 14 games Fitz played last year places him squarely in the top 10 QBs in the league last year. Who da thunk? And Fred Jackson. His running style is very dominating. He goes between the tackles, breaks tackles and pushes people for extra yards. This is a football warrior. Can anyone say man crush? Ok, now the bad news. KC is not very good. At least they weren't very good this Sunday. The Oakland Raiders beat the Broncos and the Patriot's* beat the Dolphins. Our next 2 opponents are not going to be pushovers. The Bills need to take the next step and they cannot overlook anyone. It's hard to play angry when you win a 41-7 blowout. They need to stay angry.

That was cool interview......Merriman sounds truly happy to be back playing football and playing for the Bills.

Ok, who gets your game ball?

The whole team looked good but if I have to chose it's a toss-up between the 2 guys in my avatar. -
Vegas lost their ass on the KC game.

Again, Moorman consistently put the ball in the endzone, leading me to believe that this was by design and not because he was off. Is this the coaching telling him to do this or what?

How about Bell putting the glove on T. Hali!

I saw one replay of Bell literally standing Hali up and stopping him right in his tracks. -
Brad Smith's Importance To This Offense
Rockinon replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The thing that I like is that the wildcat is another tool in the shed. Did anyone notice how unpredictable the Bills offense was? A TE who stays in to block most of the time but then just when you least expect it, he slips into coverage and becomes a money receiver. An occasional draw play that opens up a run right up the gut of the defense. Screen plays. Crossing routes. Sideline passes short and long. Gailey was schooling KC today. -
I noticed Moorman was booting the ball deep into the endzone. He normally puts it inside the 10 and at first I thought he was just off. He consistently dropped the ball into the endzone though. Is this the coaches? Is Moorman padding his stats because none of those boots were less than 50 yards and I think a couple were over 60yds? Do the coaches think defensively we are better off defending from the 20 rather than covering punts?
-
Chandler stayed in to block most of the time. When he slipped out into coverage he was money. That 2nd TD, no one even bothered to cover him! This isn't going to work all the time, but actually having a TE who can block and catch makes the offense much more unpredictable. Chandler was perfect for this offense today. Hope to see more of the same.

Brad Smith's Importance To This Offense
Rockinon replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd like to see more of him, but that throw into double coverage wasn't what I had in mind. -
What will impress you most today?
Rockinon replied to VirginiaMike's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I all ready fully expect the defense to dominate. The offense is what concerns me most. If the offense gets rolling......that will impress me most. -
Haley in the hot seat? I think he takes a step backwards this year. And loses his job in the process.

Warren Sapp knows a thing or two about defensive lines. Hmm, I wonder what he sees.
