  1. Exactly. Last season, despite other questionable moves with roster & starters, Jauron started Fitz because he felt he gave the Bills the best chance to win. He was trying to get wins to save his job. His record at the time of his firing along with his whole body of work (questionable time mgmt, starting so many inexperienced O-linemen) led to his dismissal. Fewell seemed to not have confidence in Edwards as he continued to start Fitz but he was also trying to win games as he began his head coaching resume. The new coaching staff should get a 1st year pass on the number of wins, even if it's less than the 6 of 2009 as long as there are signs things are getting better.
  2. I agree. I don't like players holding out and the Titans shouldn't even allow that to be an issue. Renegotiate now. A RBs career can quickly be cut short. There have only been a few 2000-yard seasons in NFL history. Pay the guy. He's way underpaid. He deserves it.
  3. And no need to repeat yourself.
  4. Have you seen Luck play?? I watched every Stanford game in 2009. The kid has awesome potential.
  5. For more humor (Arr!! Arr!) consider that I'm a quality "enjinear".
  6. I apologize. Please see new Posting.
  7. After reflection of my own sports writing experience, I know I responded in haste. Having sports writing aspirations from a young age, years later I was finally given an opportunity with a fairly well-known website, which also included being a contributing writer to an annual publication. My experiences are from a different viewpoint. After receiving about as many redlines to a submitted article as the keystrokes required to write the original, and seeing a final product looking much different from what was submitted, my pursuit of a "dream' soon ended. In the age of the internet, blogs, etc. sports writing has become a thankless activity whose compensation is only one's enjoyment & pride in what they've written. I cannot really relate to the frustrations involved in an obligation to provide daily updates. Again, I apologize for being too quick to criticize without considering all of the factors for those involved.
  8. Crybaby. If anything I was being a harsh critic.
  9. I guess we know who the writer is.
  10. Yadda! yadda! Yadda!! Whether it's 2 PM or 4 AM, Buffalo still doesn't end with a W.
  11. All I get is Corky's Pest Control
  12. I read Bills Daily frequently because they have a lot of good information but have always been unimpressed with the writing. It seems like it's written by some school age kid who isn't very good at English (examples: using "there" instead of "their" and many grammar & spelling issues. I get annoyed by posters on this forum that have to make comments about spelling and grammar mistakes about what other posters write but this is just a forum and I chalk up most of them to just typing errors. Plus, I don't consider the errors a big deal and with respect to the content of the posting. However, Bills Daily has been around for a few years now and being a site with a link on TBD, one would expect better quailty. I usually just laugh at some of the errors even though they may be pathetic. I believe they hit a new low today: In their Top Story section, they have "Buffalo" as "Buffalow". Has their actual text inputting been outsourced to another country?? How the heck else can you explain a Bills site that has been around for a while to mispell Buffalo?? LOL!!!
  13. But they could be leaving in a future breeze.
  14. You ain't got no right critisizen' spellin and grammer. This iz a futbol bored
  15. That's why I don't waste my money on player jersies.
  16. Remember that he finished last season with an injury. He may be a little faster than what he was timed at the Pro Day. He dominated in the MAC in 2008. I think he's put on practice squad but may have an NFL future.
  17. On NFL Network, Charles Davis gave the Bills a C+ and Corey Chavous gave then an A.
  18. Charles Davis on NFL Network (who predicted Spiller BTW) thought Troup was a big reach.
  19. Huh?? Todd McShay likes him.
  20. FWIW Kiper liked the pick. Thinks he will help the Bills.
  21. They used to go through the guys that were taken while there was a commercial break. Today it was "Mel, who do you like?" Unfortunately, they supposedly had better ratings for Day 1. I'm on the West Coast so no problem watching the whole thing. ANy of you guys in Buffalo stay up til midnight??
  22. OK A-holes!! As soon as Troup was announced, Kiper says "I had him as a 3rd rounder". The people in charge change but the reaches continue. How have the reaches for Whitner, McCargo & Maybin turned out?? When dozens of draft lists are reasonably close, the Bills continue to take players much earlier than where most think they should be. The results with no playoffs in 10 years are telling. You could take any mock draft from the major sports websites and do a better job drafting than the Bills.
