Poz is overrated by some of you guys. I've heard "Let's see how he does with a better D-line". That's bull! He's not an impact player. He doesn't make the players around him better. He's usually blocked by one guy. He gets off the block 10 yds down the field to make tackles. He's not that big of a hitter. He just wraps guys up. The Bills could use one ILB that's a big hitter who stops guys in his tracks and can knock the ball loose a few times. Now, with Poz gone, let's see who they replace him with.

Has anybody heard if there are repercussions to not meeting the cap floor?? If it's a reasonable fine, Ralph & Mike Brown would probably just pay it if they can stay below the floor. This is an item that is kind of stupid: forcing teams to pay a certain amt. So, if a team makes some shrewd moves and fills their roster but are under the cap, what are they supposed to do, renegotiate a player's salary up to meet the floor??

What annoys me with this management team is one of the problems with our society these days. Worried about someone's feelings. Geez!! This is freakin' football!! Last offseason they decided on Edwards as the starter and then said they wanted a veteran backup but not somebody to compete for the job so TE didn't have to look over his shoulder. And we know how that turned out. So luckily Fitz was able to take over and had a good year. Now, they're set on him and want a veteran backup QB (Here we go again!) but not somebody to compete for the starting job. Why the hell not?? What if Peyton Manning's discussions don't go well and he decides to look around. Are they saying they wouldn't throw $20 Mil at him with all of the cap room they have? Can you imagine Peyton with this young receiving corps? He'd find a way to get the ball to Parrish & Spiller. The same thing with Left tackle. Bell is nowhere near where Peters was at and they stand pat with him, using a 4th round pick on someone they project as a RT. This is a man's game. If a player can't deal with competition for his position (insert Losman here) then he shouldn't be playing NFL football!

Guess I need to be more persistent. Last year I told them I lost my job (which was true but I was about to start one) and told them I might have to cancel due to the cost. They offered to give me a $10 discount for 6 months on my monthly rate and I took it. This year my wife is on disability so I'll try again.

I'd like to see it but not betting on it. They need to cover their "arse" and pick up somebody else for a rotation of pass rushers.

You can bet Kyle Williams will be locked up. Hopefully it's not an overpay, although he deserves whatever he can get.

Yeah, if they play the "sit back and wait game", Poz could get a big offer from say the Giants, who may want him to make a quick decision, and he could be gone quickly. The Sabres rushed in and overpaid on the 3 players they acquired but sometimes you have to pay to get what you want, especially when your team/location is not thought of as a prime choice by the players. I for one have not liked this approach of being satisfied with Bell at LT. I'm of the opinion to try and get the best you can at each position.

So, is what they're saying that if you sign a player say to a 5-year contract at $5 Mil per with a $5 Mil signing bonus, you count $10 Mil to this year's cap?? Whereas, in the past, the $5 Mil would be spread over the 5 years at $1 Mil per?

That's right. Just read that the cost was $180K which actually sounds pretty good for a 12 year life expectancy.

But we won't see as much of growth this year becuz there have been no mini-camps and OTAs. Chris Brown did say though, per the D-Line coach, that Troup has been working hard on getting stronger.

I don't want to read into something that isn't there, but why would the Bills purchase a new turf with only a 12 Year life span? How long was the prior turf used?? Wait, just read that the prior turf was installed in 2003. For the money that's spent on it, you'd think they'd last longer. For those that still think that Ralph & the Bills don't spend money, they could've stuck with turf for longer periods but they seem to go for the latest & greatest.

Bills sign Mat Moore as backup QB. Ryan Fitzpatrick struggles at midseason and has minor innjury forcing him to miss a couple games. Moore plays great and another QB controversy is born.

Do you guys realize that, although there is a big difference in size and overall reputation between Dareus & Maybin, Dareus only started 15 games at Alabama?? He missed 2 of 13 games due to suspension in '10 and only started 4 games as a sophomore. Why is he not considered a 1-year wonder with this limted experience, that Nix was trying to avoid?

Yeah, I liked the draft addressing the D-line with Dareus and getting 2 LBs, but being Jauron-like with 3 DBs & then the project in Jasper, I would've preferred trying to focus on other need positions/roles like pass rush and O-line. Using a 5th rounder on Davis, is he really that good of a prospect over NFL or undrafted free agents available?
