This is my favorite day of the draft…low expectations, and I’m usually pleasantly surprised at the potential of the guys we’re able to land with these late picks…
Here's the thing...we should have given up nothing because there was never any reason to believe this guy wasn't going to be available at 56. No one had him going this high.
That's more like it, but still, someone's going to need to give me some evidence that this guy wasn't going to be there at 56 or 62. I don't believe it.
2d round is not a reach. Every year there is a run on WR in round 2 and I think Williams will be part of that run. He’s now projected to go in round 2. I’m pretty sure he won’t make it to round 4.
Williams has decent size, excellent speed and explosiveness, and was highly productive at WSU. He is the outside receiver we’ve been lacking. I suspect we might need to trade up for him, especially after only 3.5 WRs went off the board in round 1.
I don’t want edge at 56 or 62…the chances of ending up with another Basham or Epenesa are too great at that part of the draft. Difference making DTs and WRs can be had there, though. Give me Collins and Kyle Williams.
Why are you making it so complicated? Going into the draft with a major need at corner—and picking 30th—we got the first true outside corner off the board in what was considered a pretty good CB class.
