  1. I was at that game as well. Painful, but fun, considering I was with my dad (who has since passed) and a couple of old friends and their young kids (one has 4 boys and brought all 4). We had a great time catching up, but the game itself was brutal to watch. I was also at the SF game by myself the day of the South East Asian tsunami, having flown up from my in-laws in Santa Barbara as a Christmas gift—we won that one, but I went the whole day up and back without hearing about the devastation of the tsunami until I was back to their house in SB. Very weird day....
  2. Go Texans, indeed—push that Fins’ first round draft pick clear out of the Top 10!
  3. Special teams player of the week (touching wood).
  4. I was at Columbia in upper Manhattan in the mid-80’s. You are spot on on some of that, but a bit off on Trump and racism, in my opinion. He’s made enough statements on nearly a weekly basis that show exactly who he is. Witness this week’s baseless claims about Philly and Detroit or his recent MN rally where he complimented his nearly all white crowd on their “good genes.”
  5. Other than the fact that he just got 80 plus percent of the black vote. Or are they just all uninformed? and as I said, I could literally go on all day about his policies’ effect on people of color (as could anyone paying attention even remotely closely), but it’s a beautiful day here today and I need to be productive now that my time lifting is over. have a good day celebrating Biden’s victory!
  6. What color is the sky on your world? I’m busy today, but how are those 535 kids without parents at the border doing? You gonna adopt a bunch of them? Enjoy your weekend celebrating your new President-elect
  7. so what did Trump mean in all his various overt and subtle racist comments over the years? Birtherism, Central Park 5, DOJ settlement, sh&thole countries, etc? Just another day in the Fox facts free zone....
  8. He never called them predators—read the fact check. Trump used clips of him using the word predator, but never showed the full Clip to link that term to minorities. The full clip showed he wasn’t singling out any ethnic or racial group when using that term “The context of what Biden said shows that he was talking about people hypothetically becoming predators, and it shows he did not single out Blacks, African Americans, or any other racial or ethnic group.”
  9. So much of what conservatives “know” is just false. To quote Dear (former) Leader, SAD.... https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.statesman.com/news/20201102/fact-check-did-joe-biden-call-black-youth-rsquosuper-predatorsrsquo%3ftemplate=ampart
  10. The guy who in another thread just used the term “the predator minorities” in describing the ‘94 crime Bill is calling Biden racist in defense of Donald Trump. Wow—thats’s rich.... From the other thread— Biden creates 94 crime bill which leads to mass incarceration for the predator minorities. leading to huge racial divide in the country and having to reform those mistakes decades later. blame trump for the racial divide and elect the guy who actually is the reason for the problem. classic. i guess in a way it's smart to elect the g....
  11. They showed the sideline discussion after the play and Diggs was saying it was on him.
  12. I meant for the bar—if you liked Pittsford Pub, why not just go there? It’s Rochester, so almost nothing is more than a 20 minute drive from anything else.
  13. I grew up in ER and still hit PG’s whenever I go back home. The original owner (his daughter owns it now since her dad unfortunately passed on) was a Browns fan, however. Can’t help you with Greece, however, other than the aforementioned “stay on the East side” advice....
  14. Seamless, as usual! Many thanks!
  15. Does this make the Bills take any extra precautions bringing him over? https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/09/01/panthers-g-chris-reed-lands-on-covid-19-list/
  16. Except that they have almost no real jurisdiction anywhere, which is why they need to play nice with all of their member countries, including China.
  17. Yup—I live in Larchmont, next door to NewRo. I’ve been to the one that’s in the New Roc City entertainment complex (back when we could go to movies). Totally agree that Wegman’s will wipe the floor with them. Harrison’s about 15-20 minutes from us. Worth it to me, but I don’t usually do the shopping, so it may require special trips (but unlikely to include 2 am bulk candy runs after a night of drinking, although you never know)....
  18. I totally agree—and can’t wait. They will eat Super Stop & Shop’s lunch, but might have more trouble with Trader Joe’s and a local upscale place called DeCicco’s that has an actual sports bar in my local store—up above the shopping floor. I watched some March Madness there last year (back when we had sports) while my wife shopped, Homer Simpson-style. Life doesn’t often get better than that...,.
  19. We’re finally getting a Wegman’s down here in Westchester in a couple months. One of my old East Rochester boyos also lives nearby—pre-Covid we were planning to get up really, really early on grand opening day to be among the first to enter. Absolutely love Wegmans. And I love the fact that the guy who was the night manager at the Perinton store 35 plus years ago when we were kids buying beer and then again bulk candy 3-4 hours later after consuming said beer is still working there and now managing the whole place. Make a trip there every time I’m home....
  20. For those saying that “since the cops didn’t show up at the end of the flight, nothing could have really happened” I’m reminded of perhaps the oddest flight of my life 3 years ago coming back from a family vacation in Japan. My 13 year old daughter was across the aisle from 3 young Asian men covered head to toe in tats. Two small guys and one guy who was 6’3 or so and went about 300 pounds. They came in bombed and started taking pills by the handful while periodically speaking to each other in grunting Japanese. Pretty soon the two little guys are out while the big guy is zonked out of his mind and tried to stand up almost literally every two minutes while the seatbelt sign was on. Often reaching into his overhead luggage and spilling it all over everyone around him. The male flight attendants couldn’t restrain him—he ended up in the bathroom trying to smoke, repeatedly. Not listening to the stewards at all. He just stumbled around the cabin, sh&t-faced, eyes closed and mumbling. Meanwhile his compatriots periodically woke up and grunted at him before taking more pills with beer chasers. No help at all in calming him down the entire 14 hour flight. Needless to say, dad soon replaced daughter in the seat across from The Hulk and his pals. No one (other than the mini-ya-chan (a cutesy Japanese term for Yakuza, which these guys almost certainly were)) slept the entire flight. When the time came to get off, I was sure there’d be cops waiting—nope. Not a one. I talked to one of the stewards and they said “hey, we tried to get the cops, but they aren’t coming.” We last saw Larry, Curly and Moe, who had roused by flight’s end at the baggage claim groggily heading off with their bags. I told my wife that if I were a movie director I’d love to follow them into NY—either comedy gold or hard-boiled noir for sure.....
  21. I did mine today. Not much available towards the middle of the field (I’m in 132), but I moved back one row and over 7-8 seats towards mid-field (and nearer the end of the row. I was curious how the economic ***** storm was going to impact season ticket sales, but I guess the team’s upswing is more than making up for that.....
  22. Love the early part of this list—so many memories come rushing back looking at it, but my favorite there has to be Reuben Gant, who my father dubbed “Stone Fingers” or “Stony” for short. Just last week my Giants fan cousin was ribbing me about him (until I reminded him of their former number 1 pick Rocky Thompson).....
  23. Cheapest seats now down to $5750. When we make it I’d add a $1500-2500 premium to this year based on the rabidity of our fan base and hunger for the game. Overcoming WNY not being as economically strong as other areas (certainly including SF). And it will be worth every penny when we win it.....
