  1. Good grief, did you guys just switch this ridiculous argument to a different thread?
  2. Such sad news...and so very young. I miss a lot of those folks from back then. Damn, I’m just getting old.
  3. I still suspect the Bills will find a way to lose the opener. Man, what this team has done to my psyche...
  4. Too young indeed. A sad day for us. RIP.
  5. Wow, from the collection of responses so far it's clear this is a pretty tough call with plenty of opinions. These are the kinds of decisions that Beane gets paid the big bucks for, and the ones that we will look back on when evaluating his skill as a GM. Kind of like one of those key defining decisions. I think the fact that we were active in FA/trade for a new DE points to the fact that we are looking for an upgrade for Shaq. I don't think Beane will pick it up, but if he doesn't it could put us in a weak position next offseason with regard to negotiations either for a trade or in FA.
  6. I'm thinking the same thing...give Ford time to develop and then take over for Nsekhe in a year or two. I like the sound of this line...
  7. Hopefully he can...plus, DD is on record saying he’s fine playing Tackle, Guard, whatever they want him to. I agree that DD at RG between Morse and Ford could be pretty potent, at least with regard to running the ball...on the other hand, a line of DD-Spain-Morse-Ford-Nsekhe could pretty great all across...
  8. I'm not so sure...if Ford is really slated at RT and holds his own, then Dawkins may be looking at a battle with Nsekhe for the LT position.
  9. I think a lot of it will come down to how well he plays special teams. He’ll have to be pretty good at it to grab a roster spot, because otherwise he’ll be mostly useless this year.
  10. That was cool, thanks for the heads up. Really rooting for this kid!
  11. That was spectacular. And as other posters have noted, we can all relate to the shock, horror, and helplessness those folks feel.
  12. This guy thinks it was a high risk-high reward pick, @Joe in Winslow thinks it was an okay, safe pick. I don’t know what the hell to think anymore.
  13. Man, there are quite a few not very good GMs in football right now.
  14. I think we’ve got pretty much every player covered...
  15. I haven’t gone through the whole thread, but one I don’t see mentioned much is the big turnover at the end of the Houston-Buffalo divisional game on New Year’s Day 1989. This was the first playoff game in Buffalo in years, after the great 1988 season that saw us win the division against the Jets when the goal posts came down. The stadium was electric, and Buffalo controlled most of the game until late in the 4th, when the Oilers scored to pull within 17-10. The Bills had to punt on the next drive at the 2 minute warning, so everybody was on edge, but I believe it was Tasker who stripped the returner and Bentley recovered to basically seal the win. Everyone went completely bonkers, including Bennett on the sidelines. That was an awesome play in Bills history. You can see it at 23:09 of the video below.
  16. I'll take one of those, please.
  17. Well, to be honest, the game did start with the Bills blocking a Dallas punt on the first drive and punching it in for a TD and an early 7-0 lead. That was (briefly) feel-good.
  18. I still think the Bills open against the Jets, not sure which location, but on a Sunday at 1PM.
  19. You keep using that word...I don't think it means what you think it means.
  20. This is much more likely to happen, in my opinion. I would prefer to see them stay at 9 and move back up into round 1 or 2.
  21. Just thinking back to the last time we took a TE in the first round...
  22. “Just give it to ‘em”
  23. I’m just ready to see what happens with the receiving numbers once Allen has more than 1.2 seconds in the “pocket”.
