  1. double helix = creative inception Hardware = studio overproduction Do'in it right = rolling the dice on simple live performance Unless the hardware refers to "amyl nitrate" (in Vietnam, no less), "a heroin kit", or "a straightjacket"... Double helix is the "clank" of this particular song. Language that is out of place. If you are correct, it really is a simple throwaway sort of song. That's Ok, I guess.
  2. " Double helix in the sky tonight Throw out the hardware Let's do it right " Yes, it is all very clear to me.
  3. I'm speechless (almost)... those wild attempts are as tiresome as Michael Turner threads. If music is indeed largely about identification, I fear for you as a member of that community. Get out while there's still time.
  4. 4.5 cannot be the number. If it is I'll be buying more than fudge at the MGM Grand next week.
  5. And I was led to believe that Steely Dan was in a class by itself. That thread is filled with beautiful misunderstanding. Proves again that the story is always the property of its audience.
  6. Marv is an man who might appreciate a youngster's struggle with social anxiety disorder. He might give the boy credit for surviving the transition from Paxil to weed to teaching tubby women yoga in Northern California. What he won't do is part with a draft pick for his services.
  7. I kid ... My only bike was a Honda V45 Magna. I'd probably still be queer for it if I could've kept from from laying it down one time too many.
  8. That actually makes it worse. It is then literally what it seems. It's not a song, it's a Christmas card list.
  9. The very definition of misadventure. He was asked to do things that he was barely familiar with. I fully expected him to wreck that team. Both he and they survived.
  10. Laugh while you can, monkey boys... Ricky is going help whoever takes the risk. Talent trumps misadventure.
  11. Down right annoying. The remarkably clean set up should be a model for other boards. Add me to the chorus.
  12. Thank you, very nice ! But could they sell a pick that late as a significant piece, I wonder. The natives might be a little less restless with a Pittman or Hunt. Or would they care ? If you are correct about round 6, it shapes up as a pretty weak draft class. Wright is maybe the ninth or tenth running back off the board, yes ?
  13. I am with Pyrite on this one. The offense was used not to score as much as it was to kill time. It tried to make WM a power back, took few risks, drove me crazy... and the team improved. An exciting "stud" running back is not what these people want. They want a meat and potatoes non fumbler who will pick up the blitz. Third round sounds about right. Astrobot, who am I describing ?
  14. That may be a worse answer than Poojer's.
  15. Great Merciful Zeus, man, do that and the Wings win. Turns the whole thing into performance art.
  16. Exactly the type we should expect to fill out the linebacking corps. Experienced guys already cut or soon to be cut (Kendrell Bell ?). Levy and Jauron know what they can and can't do.
  17. The pick would be for two years down the road (Losman's next contract) but I wish Smith had other uses. As strictly a development QB you could probably find a more interesting candidate ( OK, by that I probably mean taller).
  18. As the leader of the Florida contingent, I'll just say goodbye to the thread ( and take Sketch with me). Billy Donovan is packed for Kentucky or the Heat, his players aren't hungry enough after winning last year, blah, blah, blah... good luck to all who were wise to pick one of the other final four participants.
  19. Not unlike Paul McCartney's unlikely hit " Let Him In ".... Four minutes of made up names (sister Suzie, Auntie Gin ect.) bracketed by "somebody's knockin' at the door, somebody's ringin' the bell".
  20. Ra Ra Rasputin, lover of the Russian Queen There was a cat who really was gone Ra Ra Rasputin Russia's greatest love machine It was a shame how he carried on From the inimitable Boney M.
  21. Like him or not, he is less a reach than Whitner was. The possibility is scary real.
  22. After much deliberation I have decided to remove " Lost in the Supermarket" and "Train in Vain" from my Ipod. They are too..too..well... Steely Dan-nish.
  23. I think the word you're looking for is awful.
  24. Funny, I remember posting on the guy he replaced, the unfortunately named Robin Meadow. 6'8 320 ? That almost sounds athletic enough to return him to tight end.
  25. The Chiefs, if I'm not getting in someone's way. I sense a return to the Wing T.
