  1. At that price Marv has to know that. The prelimary depth chart looks like real thing.
  2. They like competition down there in Orchard Park but even with Walker in the mix they might not find a winner. They will have to use some other criteria to find a RG. Too many people for a coin toss. If they go by weight, it looks like our man Walker.
  3. That response is the definition of funny. If there was any doubt.
  4. I was harsh... I actually pull for Reed. If he were cut, teams would be looking at him as a number three. But would they find him that interesting, especially with a draft coming up ? A small, slowish possession reciever who had a spell of drops not so long ago. He was critical on third downs last year for us (which may say more about the Bills RB's, TE's and WR's than it does about him). That being said, I hope he has a big, big year in '07.
  5. Fetal position... Keep in mind that Drew doesn't need a good offensive line ... he only needs a good offensive line to be successful. He seems quite happy to take an awful beating (how he survived our line without IR time baffles me) and get on with the job. There is a sweaty wad of cash out there from someone for that man.
  6. The terrible truth. But teams have to scuffle along at some position, may as well be a little guy spot.
  7. Any idea how that turned out ? Nobody worries much about eminent domain these days but it was a different world in 1963.
  8. Does Seattle even have a salary cap ? Seattle chooses DT Justin Harrell, Tennessee.
  9. I would agree except that he wasn't especially liked in that mock (falling to 23) and I don't think he is special enough to pick at 12. But you may be right... its going to be fun month waiting for this thing.
  10. I had to search that... but yes, absolutely. TD did not draft the best player available all the time. High motor guys are seldom that.
  11. IMO maybe, but IMHO ? Too much to ask.
  12. I think you are right. For sure, Dwight Adams and his staff were on board in 2001. But he has had a front row seat to this club being used as a farm team (maybe).
  13. I'd almost prefer Rufus Alexander to David Harris in a Cover 2 world. If Harris is the value pick, so be it.
  14. The move was to get a shot at the number one corner (Hall) or the best available big man. Carriker to me is special ( I don't see a Kelsay, Wistrom type) and can be used anywhere rotationally -- KC is very Bills like IMO. Did I want a pure DT or OT ? Of course, but this mock is a tough crowd. I would have been sick if Meachum had fell to 23 after I traded up.
  15. Applause for R. Rich, yes. Methinks there would be applause for delivering Peterson too, but it is a scary draft now that I look at it. Should Willis and Peterson both be gone at 12 there doesn't seem to an obvious choice better than, (and I know how you are going to take this) the top cornerback, Leon Hall. The 12th pick is on the edge of a cliff if we mocksters are any indication.
  16. More than anyone else this is Modrak's team -- his handiwork. I wonder what is going on here. Maybe he thinks it's time to go. The first draft he participated in, if I'm not mistaken, was 2001 which netted Clements, Henry, Schobel and Jennings and in retrospect was a monster. Three of those are now looking pretty good elsewhere. Maybe he thinks he is doing his part but his effort isn't being met by Ralph and company. A lot of interesting things could be going on here that Pro Football Weekly chooses to wrap in nonsense.
  17. We differ on that. The 12 gets you Simon's probowlin', assgrabbin', bitchslappin' whatever at any number of positions of need. And that example would make Cicero blush.
  18. You will make a fine runner up, Bokonon. You fought the good fight.
  19. The Gandy Man held the fort as best he could -- at least our Losman isn't broken. I wish him well.
  20. That about says it all. Like a love letter with a urine stain. I don't want that with the 12th pick. Our need does not make him a better player than he is.
  21. There is remarkably little support for a six point underdog in here. Ohio State has won in some unpredictable ways -- they'll certainly be up to the challenge.
  22. This might be a case of wrapping useless analysis around a "tip" that Modrak is moving on. Maybe another team is interested or he just wants to do something else. It's something to keep an eye on.
  23. The big people have been overvalued, pushing the DB's and RB's down a notch. We should be so lucky. Seattle and Kansas City are available for whatever the group decides.
  24. He has KC's 55th. Put a leash on buffalo 51 ! In our deal Jolly works out to be a 110 point player (early 4th). In your second deal Randy Moss is a 105 point player ! I am going to get fired !
  25. That is a nice catch. It was fourth CB or third WR here for me... I just couldn't live with it.
