  1. This is what happens when you can't afford first class.
  2. Good news. Hopefully he adds at least 1 win for them.
  3. The problem with this theory is that if anyone should have "Rex PTSD" or affected by a "culture of losing", it should be the defense. But, they are playing very well right now. In contrast, last year, our offense was fine. There was no PTSD there. Our OL was one of the best in the NFL. There was nothing "broken" with our offense, besides TT's ability to identify and throw to open receivers. Now we are seeing multiple problems on the offensive side of the ball. We are now seeing is an offensive scheme forced on them the same way Rex forced his defensive scheme. I think we know how this will end.
  4. This is an obvious preseason tank move.
  5. OMG, it's just Sammy and Julio Jones! We're doomed. He's talking about the poorly worded thread title.
  6. Maybe Marshawn can pick him up and drive him here after he signs.
  7. Best thread EVAR.
  8. I read your post a few times and couldn't figure out what you were trying to argue, but... Watkins wasn't just drafted at the 4th spot. His true coast was the 4th pick, another 1st rounder, and a 4th rounder.
  9. Seriously, hasn't this already happened? Do you really think a tank for 1 year would worsen our situation in regards to what you have listed above?
  10. This is the thing that really kills me. We are being "lapped" by teams who found their franchise QB right around the time we were setting our hopes on Billy Jo Herbert and Brian Brohm. They found their QB, we didn't, and now these QB's careers are on the downslope. Now, we're having to compete with these teams again in finding a franchise QB. This is mostly because we (1) fail to take chances and (2) are afraid of a true rebuild.
  11. It's still much better than it was last year and our offense was fine last year.
  12. Stop being reasonable.
  13. As soon as we get a decent franchise QB, nobody will remember any of this, including trading Sammy.
  14. Couldn't he just sat for the Anthem?
  15. I'm pretty sure our recent moves have already nailed that coffin shut.
  16. I'm not sure about the CFL, but the NHL plays "O Canada" before games.
  17. Corporations are not democracies. He is engaging in these activities on company time. I'm a Federal employee. If I engage in political discussion at work (a 1st Amendment Right), I can be terminated based on the Hatch Act of 1939.
  18. And what is political about the National Anthem anyhow? I'm pretty sure people on both sides of the aisle consider themselves American citizens. And, African Americans being butchered by cops, they are Americans too. I guess I don't see the connection between the Black Lives Matter movement and honoring our country. Should we also remove flags from schools too?
  19. Is he a man of high character?
  20. Definitely haven't seen anything about trading Ragland in here...wait...the board has been actively discussing this for the last 1+ week. My other thought? You don't jettison a promising young player on a dirt cheap contract unless you receive an offer your can't refuse (i.e. 3 round pick or better).
  21. It sounds like there's a crowd of QBs that could be drafted in the 1st round. If we end up in the top 10, I wouldn't be shocked if we didn't end up trading our other 1st, 2nd, and 3rd to move up.
  22. By the look of those players, TT may not have been allowed to play in that era.
  23. By most measures, he has won and won big. Many of us are trying to desperately carve out careers for much, much less. He should feel blessed everyday knowing he has held a job for so long and had been extremely successful at it.
  24. The passing offense was offensive, but I still don't think Sammy would've fixed it. We had wide open receivers last year and TT couldn't get them the ball. In this case, and many others, an elite WR isn't going to win you a championship, but an elite QB will.
  25. After a couple days to digest this, here are my thoughts. The Bills offense will be no worse than they were last year because Watkins wasn't even on the field last year and they did pretty good. Our defense was the reason we didn't make the playoffs, not Sammy's absence. That said, if we kept Sammy, I think it would've been worth the difference between a 2nd and a 3rd comp pick (if we don't sign him). It would've been worth it to see if he could turn it around. My guess is they had no intention, for good or bad, of resigning him next season. Declining the 5th year option supports this. So, I suppose it was best to get what you could, a 2nd rounder. This trade had nothing to do with EJ Gaines. He was a toss in.
