  1. Its Belicheck, He wouldn't commmit to a college team that's looking to improve its football program unless they were willing to go all in. He doesn't want to be a shiny trophy on the mantle, he wants to be successful and will only commit if they commit. I agree with Belicheck's demands even though I do not know what they are. You want a legendary NFL coach to turn your program around, well you better be willing to commit the necessary resources.
  2. If we can win a Superbowl or 3 Allen is in the conversation for the greatest of all time If we continue to come up short he will be a footnote., very sad, but true.
  3. Well at least he has proven he can win the big one (multiple times) with a solid QB.
  4. the Lions have an accurate QB and a solid running game. Its more of the same and I believe we will lose this one. This is the formula the Bills will continue to lose to, unless McD and Babich can scheme something that works.
  5. We need an improvement at DT and DE, probably going to have to rely on the draft for 1 of these. Can we even afford a top FA at one of these positions... Miller in hindsight did not put us over the top This D got exposed and that is what happened to us against Baltimore earlier in the season.
  6. this game reminds us of our weakness against solid accurate QBs who can pick apart our zone D while also having some success running the football. We saw this against the Ravens and unless they can scheme up a different D this is our achilles heal and will be the most likely reason we get ousted in the playoffs
  7. Your pops caught you smoking, and he says, "No way" That hypocrite smokes two packs a day
  8. In this case I see no cheap shot, Josh was clearly the RB on this play and he was tackled accordingly
  9. I agree you need to commit to the slide or going out of bounds , and yes I can see a day where "diving" will be a penalty when QB fake slides/OB, but this should probably be determined by the league through review at any time, like the last 2 minutes. However remembering the long run Josh had against Pittsburgh last year. Many were screaming fake slide attempt when Josh was just adjusting speed and allowing to Blockers to get in position. In regards to Trevor Lawerence, I still say that was a completely dirty hit with intention. I feel Al Shaiir had plenty of time to down the QB without leading with the forearm or even making contact with Trevor's head, but the raised forearm left no doubt IMO.
  10. its the SB everyone wants for sure. 2 teams who have never won it all playing at high levels with explosive offenses. But I agree just take care of your own business , if you want to be the best, well then opponent does not matter!!!
  11. Added the missing months, z This season does feel different, and things do feel like they are aligning for us, but we have traveled this road before so stil a bit reserved
  12. It may have more to do with the team building concept they have. The players have bought into it, the newly signed players all mention how things are different in Buffalo.. And we have heard MCDermott emphasize the team comraderie. SO maybe the 1st name basis is more Joe wanting to be part of the team building process and asking the team to call him by his 1st name instead of Coach or Coach Brady
  13. I'll still be sweating Bullets in the playoffs during any close game and mostly because I still suffer from trepidation regarding McDermotts past playoff coaching blunders. I have hope but until we are celebrating the SB win I will still worry
  14. He threw a pass, the pass was completed, what happens after that doesn't change the play. It was a pass and a reception Because of the lateral Josh scores a TD , but it was a pass play that started it. Any other player who takes a lateral after a pass completion and scores a TD gets credited with a TD reception. No different for Josh
  15. I just watched a video of the hit in slow motion. Trevor Lawrence was clearly committing to the slide, all Al-Shaair had to do was not raise his forearm and make contact with Trevor's head. If Al-Shaiir just leaves his forearm down and skims over Lawrence no penalty is called, and Trevor gets up and plays the next down. IMO Al Shaiir wanted to hit Trevor Lawrence real hard, the 3 game suspension might even be a little light after seeing clearly how the forearm was raised into position for an intentional hit to the head.
  16. you are a kinder, gentler, murderer, and we love you for that! in regards to the story. It's pretty much exactly what we thought when AB went on his rant. Much worse has happened at events that doesn't get a hyped story attached to it. This was another case of click bait headlines designed to outrage. The girl is fine she got bumped by a Bills fan in snowy conditions. Nothing more than a simple sorry from the bumper to the bumpee was the only outcome that should of happened, no hype, not clickbait BS... and most improtantly.... Nobody was thrown down the stairs..
  17. Why would we have too is the question. Obviously others were out playing him in this scheme and deserve more playing time. The only stat that really counts is the win loss record, the Bills and Allen are playing their best ball without him and with injuries to boot. Even with players going down others have stepped up so MVS was not needed here.
  18. Well people from NYC suburbs tend to age more like a vinegear. Especially when soaked in a Roger's caske
  19. This thread is like a bottle of the finest whine.... Just gets better with age!
  20. ***** superstitions and believing in jinx's
  21. Yep, time to put him out to pasteur...
  22. [belinda] LOL, kind of similiar driving behind a fine, believed to be female tush, tooting the horn , only to find out as you are driving by, that this female has a mustache/beard as you slink lower into your seat... [/belinda]
  23. I expected growing pains with the team tightening up down the home stretch. What we got was a team showing some growing pains, over coming injury adversity, and finding ways to win against solid to real good football teams has me feeling very super heading into the playoffs. This team is showing they have the "IT" factor brewing nicely, and I am enjoying the taste of the Beane
  24. The awareness, reminds me of Hollins (against the Colts) making the sliding grab downfield and having the mental awareness to still get up and get out of bounds.
  25. "We've got 5, lets get the top 1" Terry Pegula may have come up with 1 though.
