  1. Careful with the draft class this year, only the top 51 count towards the cap, where we are drafting the first round price isn't terribly steep and not many of the class will be counted as part of the Top 51...
  2. Yup. He is my hunch too. He fills the Brown and Mckenzie roles
  3. OTC has us at $19.5 under and Butler still is not known and Lee Smith's 2.25 us still there. So 21.5 plus Butler's restructure
  4. We are picking low, not sure how much the rookies will actually add to the top 51 which the cap is based on. It's weird to be in this situation this year drafting so late and not having the rookies count much against the cap Twitter from Joe B, Parrino, Sal C all seem to be accounting for Morse, no one seems to have the Butler savings from what I have seen so far. Lee Smith retiring (he said it himself) will at 2.25 to the 18m we were already at... At least that's what it seems everyone is relying on. Our carry over was only 3.8m and we were hoping for 5.5ish
  5. Brown, Jefferson and Butler gives us $14 million alone. I saw on Twitter it is about $25 million under. Let me see if I can find it again... Edit: Lee Smith already said he was retiring so that adds $2.25 to the $18, so we are at around $20.25M plus whatever Butlers reduction is. I will assume some more moves or restructures will becoming as well.
  6. He has been great with the free agent signings and contract structure to minimize the dead cap hits if they don't work out. Haven't seen a comment about Overdorf in sometime here either.
  7. I know and I'm kind of sad. Curtis Samuel is all I can think of... Speed on offense is something we need to address...
  8. A LorAx type role might work really for us, especially this season due to the cap. Pay a little bit more to get a guy who can play both positions and lessen the Milano blow while picking up a pass rusher. Gives us some flexibility in the draft and UfA in the coming seasons well.

  10. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/03/09/salary-cap-likely-to-be-no-more-than-183-million/amp/?__twitter_impression=true As one source with knowledge of the dynamics has explained it to PFT, the fact that the franchise-tag deadline wasn’t extended by the league and the union can be interpreted as an indication that the cap won’t significantly exceed the $180 million floor. Per the source, the cap will at most be $183 million.
  11. Feel throughout the league is Dunlap going back to Seattle at a smaller contract...
  12. This applies to DL and OL overall, those positions tend to fair well when it comes to age and longevity. The speed and agility components of the game are not a large factor of their play, it is mostly strength and knowing blocking schemes (hand positions and such); a skillset that doesn't have a hard cliff like other positions. The wear and tear is substantially less too, a lot less running around and piling up hits in their careers...
  13. 🤣 This board is almost as bad as the people who call WGR and get on air to offer the worst opinions ever
  14. The narrative that Hughrs sucks and is on the decline is irritating as hell on this board. Remember his effectiveness as an individual rusher is a sum of the parts around him, leading to more double teams and chip blocks vs single coverage. That being said: Yes he is getting older...dropping off, meh a tired excuse to push a narrative... You add 2 to 3 years to his deal (IIRC, his last year on the contract is 2021) and lower the hit the next season or 2... This is easy...
  15. A little too rich for my blood....
  16. And I wanted to toss Murphy last year and give the $10 million to Austin Hooper...
  17. TKO stated today that you need the pass rusher, if QB is 1A the pass rusher is 1B in terms of need
  18. Labatt Blue instead of pepsi...
  19. Unless he stinks and has a bad game, then he will have a dick drawn in his front yard
  20. The same could be said for many GMs who failed... The proof is in the results
