  1. we didn't invent their recent track record of success. they did. are you suggesting that the bills management -- the actual decision makers -- are somehow beyond reproach? also, i completely disagree with the notion that this reaction is somehow exclusive to buffalo. it's not. i've lived in boston, philly and los angeles and have seen the pitchforks come out in all of them. that's how it works in sports. the only difference was that fans in those cities weren't afraid that the owners might pack up and leave over hurt feelings.
  2. snark aside, we're all happy that ej is trying to get better and improve. hopefully the extra work pays off. i think the issue here is that the source is some dude ej paid for a couple weeks of training. it's not like he's going to say, "honestly, i think ej's future is with the practice squad." well, at least not until the check clears.
  3. the trial of pegula has nothing to do with his effort to do "good" and everything to do with his management of the product on the ice. just because an owner is a good public citizen, it doesn't absolve him/her from criticism for the sports team they run. you can applaud the fact that pegula is building a hockey palace but also be critical of his personnel and management decisions regarding the team itself.
  4. i haven't been this excited since david lee fixed fitz.
  5. cause sometimes you gotta go no. 2.
  6. well, nothing can possibly go wrong with there.
  7. sweet. another outlet for us to complain about the utter disdain the national media holds for the bills.
  8. moist piece of wood > danny crossman.
  9. you're not crazy. i've noticed it as well. at first (in his early pressers) i chalked it up to nerves, but i don't think that's the case.
  10. sweet. now he'll have more time to focus on his rap career.
  11. ronnie jones > danny crossman.
  12. dude, no one would consider you a bandwagon fan because you chose your career and financial stability over watching sunday football. a choice between watching a game and making considerably more money ain't no choice at all. honestly, given buffalo's recent history, i think it would be difficult to label anyone on this board a bandwagoner. if so, they're really, really, really terrible at selecting teams in which to bandwagon.
  13. yes. unless you were as well. then i'll say with 99.9% confidence that the two of you were the only ones wondering.
  14. i love this post. i can say with 99% confidence you are literally the only person on this board -- a board devoted to the bills, mind you -- who is wondering about this.
  15. the amount of time i spent watching it. i haven't been outside since yesterday afternoon.
  16. better yet, ted marchibroda. his offense makes hackett's look like a big pile of puke. get dude on the horn STAT.
  17. thought this was appropriate, it being draft weekend and all: http://www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2014/05/the-rise-of-the-hyper-informed-football-fan/361855/ "NFL insiders tend to whisper the same general stat: that one-third of the league’s general managers have no business overseeing personnel decisions—they’re either misguided in the way they evaluate players or they don’t bother to put in the requisite research. Draft savvy, then, lets fans separate their outcomes (the success of their favored college prospects) from those of their favorite teams (the players chosen by their teams and the team’s outcome on the field); fans can timestamp their opinions and later say, 'I told you so.' But does this kind of autonomy relieve fans’ helplessness, or does it make them feel more like pawns beholden to the real draft-day outcomes they want to control but can’t? Let’s say you’re sure, after months of research, your team should use its third-round pick on a quarterback, but the team instead drafts a punter—a punter—and the quarterback selected five slots later goes on to win a Super Bowl within two seasons. Besides a conniption, this could also give you a grudge to unleash on team executives, message board commenters, and media members who disagree with your football opinions."
  18. dude, stop toying with the degenerates on this board. they definitely can't handle some of those pics.
  19. not sure if this in new info per se, but i'm guessing he'll be the first texan qb to wear his wedding ring while playing. also, he's probably the first quarterback from harvard to play for houston. i'm gonna google his name on the google and see if i can find any other fun facts to share with you guys. be right back...
  20. he shouldn't have made his 4pm warm milk a double.
  21. i was taking a dump, so i had no idea what was going on. then i returned to the living room and exclaimed, "WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?" followed quickly by "OH, SNAP!" once the trade/pick was communicated to me.
  22. my sources deep within the war room confirm that the primary reason the bills moved up was because buddy's bedtime was quickly approaching.
  23. thanks for the insight?
