  1. Matthews asked about the officiating. Marv said they review films & might let the league know of their complaint, but they are not supposed to talk about it publically. He also ended 1st segment saying he wants to protect his wallet. I guess they fine team officials who publically state the obvious about the poor officiating.
  2. Marv made it on, started at 7:12
  3. Jim Haslett chose Brooks over Jake Delhomme. That's why he's the former head coach of NO. I'm so glad Marv wanted nothing to do with Haslett when the Bills were looking for a new coach.
  4. A few minutes ago Matthews said he doesn't have Marv's number & he hopes that Marv calls in. If Marv is waiting for them to call him, there might not be a show tonight.
  5. With Bob Matthews-1st time in years Bills GM on WHAM, Butler used to do a weekly show years ago. Even came on & did the show the week he was fired. This week he's on Tuesday because on this Thursday he is busy. He will be on Thursdays in the future.
  6. Since his current GM went from goalie to GM, maybe the last half of the contract makes him the GM
  7. Every week on the USA series Psych, they have a scene or 2 where the main character is a kid and Corbin Berensen, who plays his father, wears a toupee and plays the father around 20 years ago.
  8. Mixing up you're & your.
  9. With both WGR and WHAM streaming on the internet, any Bills fan not in WNY can get a full plate (some would call Dickerson a garbage plate) of Bills coverage. This is the 1st season that I can come home & listen to my choice of Bills coverage. 1st WGR until 6:00 pm, then choose between WHAM (Bob Matthews) 6-8. Monday's 7-8 WHAM show is the odd couple of Matthews & Dickerson.
  10. Please don't revise history. The Bills won opening day over Indy 26-10, had the turning point debacle in Miami to make it 1-1 (Mia 30-7), pounded the Jets 30-7 to make their record 2-1, then were trailing to Denver before pulling out a victory to make it 3-1. The only bad game was Miami.

  12. Hey Roger, can you please tell the refs that when the schedule reads NE-Buffalo it doesn't automatically mean "Screw The Bills Today"
  13. Typical Drew-play like sh** when it matters and go right down the field once the pressure of winning the game is gone.
  14. Running backs are not known for their intelligence. In fact the smart ones get out sooner rather than later. Robert Smith was probably the smartest RB in recent years & he bailed out his career. Although he gets maligned a lot due to the obvious things, Ricky Williams is very intelligent & if he didn't have to pay millions back, he'd be long gone from football.
  15. Good to see you got home safely. Are you watching how lousy Drew is playing for Dallas?
  16. 44% completion %, 33.3 QB rating 2ints Whoever said get rid of a player one year too early rather than 1 year too late was BRILLIANT!
  17. Titans & Browns might not win three games together this season.
  18. Next time WRGB doesn't show the Bills, join us at the bowling alley/bar on Main Street in Ravena. We all met at our friend's house on Beaver Dam Road & drove down. Not too crowded and we had our own big tv to watch the game. Pretty good wings too.
  19. Then why was KC about to dump him off on another team (the rumors were a mid pick or a trade involving McCardell) and be willing to take a > $3 mil cap hit? They thought he was a bust & got lucky that nobody traded for him. It happens all the time. When Frank Reich was put on Plan B, nobody signed him away from Buffalo. The Bills had no idea he was the perfect #2 QB for that team...and if he had signed elsewhere, there would be no Houston comeback in our history. Kurt Warner was exposed to the expansion draft & Cleveland passed on him. He won the Super Bowl that season.

  22. That was opening day against the hated Dolphins. The Bills had not made the playoffs the previous 5 seasons and had a losing record each of the last 4 seasons. In addition, the opponent had beaten the Bills 20 straight times. Well that day the Bills opened some eyes defeating the Dolphins 17-7. The team went on to start the season 5-0 before ending up 11-5, earning their 1st playoff berth since 1974, ushering in a new (although too short lived) era of winning Buffalo Bills football. The pent up frustration of the fans was so evident on that day, that when the game ended, the fans stormed the field and tore down the goal posts, ON OPENING DAY! I've never seen this before or after and in today's era of added stadium security, will never happen again in an NFL game. Just like that day in 1980, the Bills are in a long playoff drought playing a team that has owned them (Patriots 10-1 last 11 games). While there won't be any home field advantage, or fans storming the field, with the start of a new season, I can dream of today being the 9/7/80 of the 2000s.
  23. Does anyone have any confirmation of Smith getting cut other than Chris Brown's story? I'm getting suspicious since I haven't found a transaction involving Smith getting cut from the Patriots anywhere on the net with the exception of people who read Brown.
