How many more must die in mass shootings? Other countries have mental illness too and don’t have children slaughtered in school or people slaughtered in grocery stores. If guns made us safer, we’d be the safest country on earth.

Religion is religion. Government is government. Mixing the two together ruins both and benefits none. There was a reason why the founding fathers advocated for separation of church and state.

When Bruce speaks, l always listen. He speaks so well for the feelings fans are experiencing.

Psychology is an inexact science. The Red Flag Law should have automatic triggers with threats at school being one of them.

I will never understand why they gave the franchise to this guy. Desperation leads to risk taking I guess.

Sign me up in a support role. This is a good thought exercise. Nearly everything you hear on tv is about what divides us. In reality, if we talked with fellow Americans of whatever skin tone or from whatever state, we would find we have a lot in common. I think a lot of Americans don’t appreciate what we have in this country. We are a spoiled culture. If you travel to a poor 3rd world country, you will immediately appreciate this country more. Billions of people live with almost nothing by our standards, yet live happily. They struggle together. In America, we have so much, but seem to only focus on our differences. Sports are one of the few parts of American culture that unites us.

It’s all idiotic lies spewed to make white viewers afraid and to keep their eyeballs glued to the screen. The more eyeballs on the screen, the more money they make. They can do viewer ratings by the minute to track the language that keeps peoples attention and fear works.

The way to prevent these types of incidents is for people to speak up, call police, ask for help, if they know or suspect someone is considering violence. If my son threatened to kill other students, I wouldn’t want him having access to any gun. If I saw him buying a combat vest and helmet, I would be calling the cops. Kid clearly needed mental health intervention. Did people think his thoughts were normal?Maybe parents were in denial. Someone likely knew something but didn’t take it seriously or ignored the signs.

So often, someone knows something or may have a suspicion that someone they know may be planning violence. That is the frustration some have expressed regarding his parents. I’m sure the FBI is interviewing and investigating them regarding any knowledge they had of his plans. They certainly knew their son had psychological issues since he was referred for counseling due to concerns about killing students in school last year. Red flags everywhere on this kid. If you know something, say something.

The media and internet sites promoting promoting replacement theory or white supremacy are doing so for profit. This is their business decision. They promote and cultivate a market for these ideas. Lies for profit with no concern for the consequences on American society.

What bothers me most is the pride some have in their hatred towards others. Flags, stickers, etc. to show they are part of the tribe. Last week I was in a very rural area north of Binghamton. The school bus stopped and three black children got out to go home. Two houses away, their neighbor is flying the confederate flag. People now feel safe showing others they hate. There is no shame. That still bothers me just thinking about those kids.

Defeat hate. Defeat evil. It will take all of us changing one mind at a time. With social media, it is too easy for people to fall into pit of hatred towards others.

I remember the tape on Stevenson showed him as a real speed receiver. I think he plays a good bit faster than Shakir but Shakir may be more developed in other skills like route running, hands, etc. Will be interesting to see both compete in camp.

From the clips of him I have seen, he doesn’t seem to play at 4.4 speed. I think he can still be a functional receiver though. He has the ability to make amazing catches in traffic. He does seem like a Robert Woods type player. I just wouldn’t highlight speed as a main trait of his.

People read waaay too much into facial expressions. I know people who never smile in front of a camera. They are not unhappy, it’s just they are introverts and that’s their style. Other people will give you a fake smile all day long, that means nothing.

Cook is both extremely quick and effortlessly smooth as a runner. He’s smaller than his older brother but brings a familiar running gait, utilizing stutter-skip and jump-cut moves in the open field that often leave defenders grasping for a cloud of dust. He’s shifty in the short area, showing good burst to accelerate and slip through small cracks in the defensive front. He has good vision to find the best rush track, and shows the patience to let his blocks set up in front of him, drafting off his offensive linemen before juking away from the defense. And he makes defenders miss with blur-inducing cuts and sudden jukes, and strings cuts together at the second level to find daylight. Where Cook truly stands out, though, is as a pass catcher. He’s capable of lining up all across the formation as a receiver (like when he ran a vertical route from the wing against Alabama in 2020, tracking the ball the whole way) and brings soft hands and natural skills as a route runner. He catches the ball away from his frame and shows the ability to go down and scoop it up when a throw comes in low. He shakes coverage when the play breaks down and gives his quarterback an outlet option. Cook has joker-piece potential as a hybrid pass catcher and running back at the next level. Cook is undersized by NFL standards and isn’t a powerful runner who breaks through contact or pushes the pile. He brings potential to add weight but at his current size he’s unlikely to be a volume runner in the NFL. He never got the bulk of the workload at Georgia, instead playing a complementary role to Zamir White. Lacks bulk to stymie blitzers in pass pro. WHY HE COULD RISE Cook brings the type of line-him-anywhere versatility in the passing game that NFL teams covet; he’s sudden and quick as a runner, too. WHY HE COULD FALL He lacks size and some teams may view him as a third-down complementary back only.

I don’t know much about Bernard but if he helps the D against teams like Titans, Colts or Ravens, I’ll like him.

Cook is not a break tackle type back. He needs space to operate but when he gets in space, he is fast and elusive with WR pass catching ability.

Singletary and Cook will compliment each other well. Cook will soon become a fan favorite. Guy is explosive in open field. Singletary will be our grinder.

Alright, I’ve been converted. I’m on board with Hall at 25 if Bean goes that way. We need to make teams pay if they drop everyone back covering our receivers. He looks capable of doing that.

Give me James Cook. RB is not the focus of our offense. Cook gives us speed at a cheaper draft price than Hall.
