  1. He must have completely lost the room. That’s the only explanation of why you make this move now.
  2. He is. That’s how bad it had gotten.
  3. They never do
  4. You can't say that. Think back to when Tim Murray was honest about being disappointed about getting Jack Eicehel instead of McDavid. The honesty was nice, but the relationship between the team and the player was doomed from the start because of it.
  5. At least we know that he's not gonna complain about the cold weather.
  6. Last year at Arrowhead? This year against Miami?
  7. It is just a replacement for Harris. And they needed that. Can't be an injury away from Ty Johnson getting significant carries.
  8. My favorite is "Injuries aren't an excuse," followed by "this team doesn't have enough talent." Either talent matters or it doesn't.
  9. I thought that yous guys were talking about this guy
  10. No, we cut him and signed Shane Buechele back in August Interesting that he wasn't even on NFL Trade Rumors' list of top 100 free agents: https://nfltraderumors.co/top-100-2023-nfl-free-agents-list/
  11. The Broncos are going to try to compete for the remainder of the season just because they got one win this Sunday? Strange decision. The Bears' only move was adding a player and losing a pick. Strange decision.
  12. There is a really good video where Tom Grossi goes into what is going on with the Bears. They have no leadership. Their primary owner is George Hallas' 100 yo daughter. They keep missing on coach/GM hires because they keep letting the same people run the search. And what's ironic is that Bill Polian has his fingerprints all over the dysfunction.
  13. I'm more worried about the DT situation.
  14. We sent them a 3rd and they sent us Douglas and a 5th.
  15. So the Chiefs didn't get a WR and the Fins didn't get defensive help, and the Bengals didn't get a TE? Good day for the Bills.
  16. The more that I think about Chicago, the more that I think that the guys that are making decisions won't be the guys making the picks unless they start showing some promise. So their interests and the long-term interests of the franchise don't coincide.
  17. I don't know if they have to make trade calls to the league like in hockey and basketball.
  18. Watch him be really good against us.
  19. The Broncos have traded nobody today. They are not selling.
  20. You have to assume that Beane was working on Johnson all day, but had a backup plan in place for Douglas in case that didn't work out. Well played.
  21. If that happens without an injury to Josh or Diggs, this franchise will implode.
  22. The masterstroke would be to not pay Purdy and just draft another one in a few years. It's like football moneyball. Find the value, and the value is not at QB.
  23. Because two of his years were wasted from a contention standpoint on his development. No need to go all in for the '18 or '19 season. That's the problem with taking a project at QB. By the time that we knew that he was the guy, it was time to pay him. BTW, this is the same problem that the Bills are facing with AJ.
  24. The psychology of NFL owners/GMs is so strange. The Titans were planning a firesale, but then they got a good game from a rookie QB and now they are all-in on competing this year. The Falcons are adding players to a team with no QB. It's pressure from fans to compete every year. NFL fans won't except rebuilding like other sports fans. Maybe it's better that way.
  25. But if they win another Lombardi this year, does any of that matter?
