unfortunately, with their programming it's hard to not watch espn. However it is very very easy to not visit espn.com or read their magazine. I have had a personal boycott going for years now. I stick primarily with cbssports but visit SI regularly as well.

Coles has definitely lost a step, and Johnson has to turn it around this year or he's nothing more than a scrap heap part The bengals had fewer sacks last year than the bills, and the bills were the #14 defense in the league. There's nobody anywhere that would say that that represents a complete defensive squad. Carson Palmer is a very good QB playing behind a very bad Offensive line. You could have johnny unitas behind that line and it wouldn't matter. I will bet you any amount you want that the Bengals will not be drafting a QB of the future barring another season ending injury to carson.

i'm talking about hte bengals here, you know that, right? They need help at the O-line, they have probably one of the bottom 5 lines in the league even assuming Andre Smith shows up to play, they need a RB...Cedric Benson is not going to pan out. Depending on if Chad Johnson can return to form, they may need to invest in a WR, because both Johhnson and Coles are getting old. That's just on the offense. On Defense they have as much or more of a problem getting to the QB than the Bills do.

Dom Capers is a very good coach, I would love to have him. His record as a head coach is pretty crappy, but they've all been expansion teams...which are impossible to win with, and kind of unfair. I don't particularly care for cowher...I don't think he's worth what he's going to cost, he'll be super overhyped and therefore super expensive. He's the anti-jauron in that he's very fired up, but I don't think he's a better HC than gruden.
