  1. Even though Chris Berman is off the NFL, isn't he still with the network? If so, I assume he's not there on the cheap. Does ESPN really think that he's still bringing in viewers?
  2. Sorry, but this comment is way too thoughtful and logical for this board. Can you revise to try and capture the requisite sense of doom that is required in any comment regarding the team's personnel decisions?
  3. Good point. I guess if they were keeping him, waiting until the last second could theoretically prevent the Pats from signing their next choice at RB. This just needs to end.
  4. Does anyone really think that the Bills are STILL discussing this? That it takes a full week to make this decision? The fact that they are pushing it to the last second tells me that they won't match, and are just waiting it out to mess with the Pats.
  5. Yep. These offseasons get crazier and crazier. I'm guessing the average Pats fan doesn't even remember that they signed him.
  6. I definitely did NOT leave early!! Never have and never will. That said, after almost 25 years I will readily admit that my memories are probably some sort of mix between what I saw live and what I saw on TV when I got home(and replayed thousands of times)! I wasn't at that game, but I was at the game a week later when they came back to beat the Raiders.
  7. I was at the comeback against the Oilers in 1993. I was home from college and didn't get tickets in advance, but decided to go the morning of as I heard that the game wasn't close to sold out. I still remember watching people trying to climb the gates to get back in after they had left.
  8. Come one everyone!! Three pages!! That's it?? Based on previous offseason threads involving Kiko or Shady (or both), anything less than 100 pages will be a huge failure on our part.
  9. I'm not sure that I've ever seen an offseason news story that's ever been more perfect for this board.
  10. That settles it. I'm booking my flight to Minneapolis now!
  11. With the Bills only being relevant for part of the season for much of the last two decades, it's really been hard to stay a fan of the NFL. This only makes it harder. http://deadspin.com/nfl-developing-new-way-to-drain-all-joy-from-sport-for-1793517847
  12. You should ask Coaches Montana, Marino, Favre, Young, and Aikmen.
  13. Twenty pages down. What do you all think -- 80 more pages to go?
  14. Hmm. I'd comment further, but I'm too busy watching Jeffrey and Marcus Jordan dominate the NBA.
  15. Sucks to see him go, but probably a good move. My question is what are they planning to do with all the new cap room????
  16. Damn it! I've been convinced that he was the missing link for a whole 4 hours!!
  17. So is it me, or is the title completely misleading? All the story says is that the coaching staff doesn't think they'll be able to bring in a better replacement for Tyrod -- not exactly a ringing endorsement and certainly not something that seems like a "chasm" or new information.
  18. He was a great GM, but this is beyond senile and idiotic. These were two of the greatest wide receivers ever to play the game. Period. Temperament? Really?
  19. I'm not sure what it is about voting for hall of fame candidates, but it seems to turn people into sanctimonious, insufferable jerks -- regardless of the sport. As annoying as Carucci's take is with regard to T.O., it's nothing compared to the twisted logic baseball writers use to vote against highly qualified players year in and year out.
  20. Super Bowl XXV was more than 26 years ago, and I still feel numb and shell-shocked about it. I'm pretty sure a lot of Falcons fans will be saying the same thing 26 years from now.
  21. This almost feels scripted.
  22. My feelings on Rex pretty much followed the exact same pattern. Agree with every word of your post.
  23. I remember a few years ago when I was terrified that the Bills could be stuck with Kyle Shanahan. Times sure have changed.
  24. In all seriousness, I'll always appreciate how much he did to show his pride in the team and in Buffalo in general, whether it be that tacky truck, wearing jerseys of all time great Bills, or sitting in the stands at Sabres games decked out in the team's gear. Had he won, he'd have been beloved. That said, he really was a failure as a coach.
