  1. I'm waiting for the uber liberal Physchiatric industry to declare that anyone that wants to own a gun is mentally ill and for the President to approve $billions in research grants to the pharm companies to develop a drug that suppresses the desire to own or shoot a gun.
  2. To find a QB with great football smarts, accuracy, leadership, work ethic, character, decision making ability AND the running ability of Kaepernick, RGIII, Newton or Wilson is rare. Not many teams will be able to have one of those but it is interesting that there all of the sudden a few that look like stars in the making. Kaepernick to me is ridiculously athletic with no disrespect to the others. I can't wait for the guy's next game. He's really fun to watch.
  3. Him and the entire Notre Dame team. It's a good night.
  4. Yeah they did. It was rainy and windy during the game. The Bears D played 7 yards off the Colt receivers and had front row seats while Manning picked them apart underneath all while a big room full of Bears fans here were screaming at the TV to get the damn CBs up on the receivers at the LOS because no way you're getting beat deep in that weather. Instead the Bears played not to lose and did. It was incredibly obvious yet the Bears stuck to their plan and never had a chance. Only special teams kept them in the game. You could swear that Jauron was dressed in a Lovie costume on the sideline Lovie's a great guy but as the Bill next coach, NO THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Baloney. The White House and Senate have showed their true colors in the past few weeks. Neither has any intention of fixing our fiscal problems. They are committed to more debt and more spending. Any talk now of addressing defecits and debt by Obama and Reid is utter B.S. Obama will continue to push for economic justice for his supporters and will leave the increasing fiscal mess for his successor. There is not a shred of evidence otherwise.
  6. Fans will be skeptical of Brandon and this recent move until the team does much better and rightfully so.
  7. Mike Tice is considered here to be a major bust as a coordinator in Chicago. The Bears have tremendous talent on their roster except for needing a couple of o-lineman. defense, loaded. Special teams, loaded. Offense, Forte, Marshall and Cutler. Cutler IMO is very talented. Did better under Martz.
  8. Good Lord, No Lovie. Absolutely not. Those of us in Chicago know that Lovie should have been canned a couple years ago. He's underschieved given the talent he's had.
  9. Just say no to Lovie. The Bears have tremendous talent on defense and offense and special teams (except for a couple O-Lineman). They have very few wins (over teams with winning records) in recent years. The Bears canned him because his teams have underachieved.
  10. We'll see what Ralph's big announcement is, but until there is stable ownership/leadership and leadership that sets a winning tone, the Bills will only get a re-tread or an NFL rookie head coach. Gotta love Ralph but his declining health and advancing age have become a problem IMO. Ralph needs to hand over the keys to and enjoy his remaining time as best he can.
  11. To those that voted Obama on this board, let's here from you. How do you feel watching your newly re-elected President put up such strong resistance to spending cuts and entitlement reform as we drown in debt? What say you?
  12. Mattsox, you were in the ballpark.
  13. Anyone see the chosen one on Meet The Press this AM? Of course NBC provides a nice blanket of political cover and David Gregory allowed him to spin and twist the truth without any meaningful challenge. I gotta hand it to Obama, he's a crafty spinster looking straight into the camera and he must believe his own bull ****. Unfortunately the majority of viewers will probably believe it too. What a bag of crap he'll leave for the next President.
  14. My exact recipe. In addition to the 335 and the F150, my wife has an MX-5 convertible. The one last car is my my favorite. A Miata with a roll cage, no interior, adjustable suspension, race tires and numbers on it. That one is towed to the track with the pickup and does battle with dozens of other similar Miatas 6 - 8 times a year on the best tracks in the country. You can't have more fun than this.
  15. You narrowly escaped. I had a '75 Pacer in college. Maroon, rusty but had a 4 on the floor plus the 258CI engine with a 2-barrel carb. The base was a 232 with a 1 barrel so mine was the "high output" version. Went on 2 dates in that car with my then girlfriend (now wife) and decided I had to make a move if I wanted to keep dating her. Got a Celica GT(used) immediately and saved the relationship.
  16. Does anyone really watch this guy? The ratings must be crappy. If I wanted to go to sleep early I'd simply turn him on and be out in minutes.
  17. As long as the Bills are an NFL team, they could be rebuilding. Rebuilding creates optimism among followers AKA wait until next year. The Bills will do something this off-season to convince everyone that they are rebuilding and heading in the right direction. That and 32 teams will spend $120 million for players next year and several of those teams will win 6 or fewer games. Yawn.
  18. Hillary will remain silent until well after the end of her term and if she's ever called upon to answer questions on the embassy attacks, she'll be able to invoke the "I don't recall" or "I no longer have access to that information" answers. Unfortunately for Bill her extended trips away from home will be ending soon.
  19. OK, what is your definition of "assault weapon" or "assault rifle"?
  20. Both the middle school and high school that my kids attended (in a nice low crime Chicago suburb) have had armed police officers in the schools every day for more than a decade. Anyone else out there have armed police in their schools?
  21. I thought the gentleman giving the NRA presentation made some very good points and by the way, my kids attended both a middle school and a high school that are protected every school day by an armed policeman. These schools are in a nice Chicago suburb where crime is quite low and the officers have been in the schools for more than a decade.
  22. Jim Mora, Sr. He won't be afraid to level with the fans about the possibility of making the playoffs. Heck, bring him in now!
  23. No, just bought it locally. After agreeing on the price, the sales rep got on a computer, filled out a build request for the car in about 3 minutes. The car arrived in the U.S. 8 weeks later exactly as ordered. Have had the 335 for almost 6 years and will probably keep it for several more. Great car. Had a 4 year "we do everything except wipe your butt" warranty. Maintenance cost for almost 6 years near zero.
  24. Very true. Had to order my car and wait 2 months to get a stick.
