Setting up the Global Warming lies to come
keepthefaith replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I'm still waiting for someone to explain how the earth exited the ice age without irresponsible human activity, had a rise in temperature before we produced so much CO2, and how we can expect the climate to remain globally constant if we humans would just produce fewer greenhouse gases. -
Apparently the positions of fiscal responsibility, personal responsibility and freedom from a tyrannical government are racist in nature.

Goodell makes 44 Million for this.
keepthefaith replied to oman128's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
If he lives in NY then he's paying $20 million in state and federal taxes. Sounds like a liberal's dream to me. A good President is worth so much more. When will we get a good one? -
Jairus Byrd [was Jarius Byrd]
keepthefaith replied to Iowabillsfan4life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Completely agree. Just see too many obstacles. He probably wants to leave. Other teams will pay more. His agent and the Bills don't have a great history together. You can't blame the player for wanting to explore his options. -
"Our Problem Is Dependency, Not Poverty"
keepthefaith replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Which brings back to the age-old questions the liberals never want to answer. What is the greatest percentage of income that governments should morally take from those that earn it? How comprehensive should the safety net be and who qualifies for that safety net and for how long? How do you justify your answers to the 2 questions above? -
"Our Problem Is Dependency, Not Poverty"
keepthefaith replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The super wealthy don't buy consumer goods? Not expensive homes, cars, jewelry, boats, planes, summer homes, fine wine? They put their money in a safe where nobody can find it? The money they invest is not used as capital in a variety of markets? Don't banks lend money for others to buy or build things? If they buy tax free bonds isn't that money used to fund public projects? If they invest in companies don't those companies benefit from the investment and use the capital? If they buy T-bills doesn't that help fund dare I say Government? As for hard work, do you measure how hard someone works by the number of nails they pound in a day? Is the owner of an engineering company that employs 150 people in which he has invested millions of dollars and years of sweat and stress and works 6-7 days a week and bears the responsibility to maintain and grow a business and support that many families a hard worker? If that person makes over a million dollars a year are they still a hard worker? -

My crystal ball says Byrd will be a Chicago Bear in 2014. -
It's Time to Stop Even Thinking About Joe Biden
keepthefaith replied to Keukasmallies's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
So Biden is more articulate and has a better grasp of things than Newt? -
"Our Problem Is Dependency, Not Poverty"
keepthefaith replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Hey you're right. That would solve many problems. So how about getting governments to adopt more economic growth policies for the private sector. Now companies have to be profitable otherwise they can't employ people, and people have to offer employable skills and work habits. -

I just heard the hammer hit the nail square on the head and drive it flush into the board in one swing. -
Jairus Byrd [was Jarius Byrd]
keepthefaith replied to Iowabillsfan4life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The chances of Byrd being in Buffalo next year are about zero. He's a jerk, his agent is a bigger jerk and if the Bills franchise him again he'll play less than he did this year due to attitude. That and 10 other teams will want him. That and it's not cool to play in Buffalo. I'd love to be wrong about all of this. -
Cuts in education spending are a b*tch

That's a bit harsh. -
Clean Debt Ceiling Vote??
keepthefaith replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Yeah because you and most others wake up every day, the sun comes up and you go about you business and never "feel" the debt. At some point if we continue as we have been for the last dozen years or so (and there is no evidence that we won't continue on the debt path), it will be felt in a very large way. -
And so it begins...the "anti-Hillary" narrative
keepthefaith replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
More Liberal drivel about wealth redistribution and evil bankers and Wall Streeters. What part of " A weak economy always punishes the less ambitious, capable and less educated" don't they understand. They just don't get that companies can right-size themselves in a flat marketplace and that increased regulation, taxes and expenses almost always means a lower payroll. ...and the writer wants miss "corporations are not people" to be our President. She would do wonders for the economy and inspire millions!!!!!!!!!!!. -

That is pure gold right there. You should be working on protoypes already. -

Yeah but you can wash that and re-use it. Probably just throw it in the dishwasher. Good for the environment. -
Obama Weighs in on Redskins Name
keepthefaith replied to Bronc24's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
A couple guys here debated this in the PPP showdown. One guy accurately predicted and made the argument that politicians would come out and pressure the league to change the name and that the league would resist for a while. He made the point that ultimately because of public pressure and money the league would tell Snyder to change the name. That guy lost the argument in the eyes of "the judge" but is being validated as this whole thing unfolds. Speaking of the PPP showdown, seems like most of the competitors have become fine haired pussies when their turn arises. -
no charges in IRS investigation?
keepthefaith replied to Azalin's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Yeah but is surrogate coverage provided? That's probably more costly than a more traditional birth. -
Covering more people by giving it away to many, subsidizing some, forcing some who didn't have it to buy it plus charging most who already had coverage a lot more in taxes and increased premiums is dumb. Let's also throw in mandating levels of coverage some people don't want and forcing employers to provide and make coverage choices for their employees is further dumb. Having your President tell all people they will save money and can keep their plan and doctor is dumber. Proof of this is the significantly increased premiums, lost jobs and wages and the unfolding reality that the number of paid uninsured is not going down dramatically.

It was the first lady herself that commented that inner city neighborhoods did not have enough fresh and health food available to residents. They should be following her lead.

keepthefaith replied to Azalin's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I get that some are Democrats and are very loyal to their team, but to look objectively at the whole IRS story and still believe that there was no coordinated political effort to target conservative groups is to be in total denial of reality. Every once in a while you have to be big enough to admit when your "team" sucks. The "team" in control of the White House and the Senate is really sucking on many issues. -
The brainwashing of America is in full swing. What do people think Obama would do if he actually had the power legally and fully to recast society through government action? What changes would he make? It's a scary thought. This is what you get when you think too much, think incorrectly and have far too much self confidence. You sir, would be laughed out of meetings in the real world where business really gets done.
