It is probably petty and unnecessary, but I felt the urge to send Don Banks (voted for Brian Cushing in the re-vote) an email... "I hope you come in second place for some journalism award to a guy who was caught plagerizing their articles. Your vote for a known cheater in the AP DROTY is a joke and an embarrassment. I will no longer waste my time reading your articles and I don't think I am alone in losing much respect for any "sportswriter" that can justify awarding a steroid using cheater with such a prestigious award. At least it was prestigious prior to this fiasco."

Wow! I wonder how the voting journalists would feel if a major journalism award was given to someone who plagerized their articles?

I wonder if the school would send a child home for wearing a rainbow on their shirt. After all, it might offend some homophobic students and cause a disruption. The students would probably just be doing it to get attention and "start some crap" anyway.

So you have no problem with the school sending kids home for wearing the American flag on their shirts while allowing other students to wear the Mexican flag on their shirts and faces? You do realize this was a school located in America right? Why do some immigrants feel absolutely no need to assimilate and accept American culture? And when did "freedom from being offended" become a right?

Wow, if an American flag offends you, perhaps you should reside in a country other than America. Are we really at a point in this country where we have to worry about our national symbols offending those that chose to leave their native country to come to America?

After 8 years in my current position, I am looking for a new job. I am in the employee benefits field and I'm looking for a non-sales job. I have my series 6 and 63 financial licenses and insurance licenses. Has anyone had good experiences using a headhunting firm or resume building site that is geared toward financial/benefits type jobs? Any tips or tricks for tweaking my resume would be appreciated too.

I have fried shrimp in our outdoor turkey fryer many times and it may be my favorite fried food. I get the tempura batter that they usually have next to the seafood counter and substitute beer for the water. I then add plenty of Old Bay to the batter. Get decent sized raw shrimp (peel em) and dip them in the batter holding on to the tail. fry till golden brown. I have done a lot of deep frying in my day, and the shrimp are my top choice.

I would much rather have moles than a cat. My neighbor's cat is one more crap in my landscaping away from getting introduced to my dog. Not sure if he would kill it or not, but he's taken out several big woodchucks and rabbits that wandered into my fenced in yard. Why do some people think it is OK to let their cats dig holes and use other people's mulch as a litter box?
