  1. Reminds me of this little classic.
  2. That is just a couple miles from my house. I've been in that apartment complex visiting friends.
  3. I have Sam Adams Winter on tap at home right now. Normally have Yuengling on tap. (For those married guys, leave a ton of bottles and cans lying around until your wife warms to the idea of a kegerator.) My favorite beers are Old Speckled Hen, Bass, and Newcastle. My favorite cheap beers are High Life or PBR.
  4. Don't know what exactly this is about, but I see you are a fellow Canandaigua Academy grad, so welcome back...or whatever.
  5. I would think there would have to be a yield sign for one of you guys. On my drive home from work there is an intersection that is almost identical to the one you describe. I take the same route you take in this scenario and I have a yield sign on the on ramp that gives the people turnig left the right of way.
  6. I would love to have the difficult decision of "what speakers to spend a pile of $ on", but unfortunately that will not be happening anytime soon.
  7. Now I just need to upgrade to the Signature Series! http://www.paradigm.com/en/reference/front...7-1-34.paradigm
  8. You probably won't find anything decent for $200-$250, at least new stuff. I started out with a decent Polk system many years ago and was pretty happy with it. It is a little more expensive than what you are asking about though. You can also package it with a sub and receiver. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Polk+Audio+-+5...p;skuId=8826247 I traded it in when I upgraded to Paradigms and the store sold it as used equipment. You may want to check out some audio shops and see if they have any trade ins. Not that you will find Bose in your price range, but stay as far away as possible. It is extremely overpriced and underperforms much cheaper equipment. You can also check out audioholics.com for advice and used equipment.
  9. Ammo is pretty expensive, but if you are looking for the best bang for your buck, I would go with the MP-5. 9mm is comparably cheap and the mp-5 is an outstanding gun.
  10. Shouldn't this be on PPP! Nevermind, you said LIPS.
  11. I saw an H&K military style rifle that was screaming for me to take it home last time I was in the gun shop. I was a little scared that if I took a close look I would have made a stupid purchase so I am not sure of the model. I'm a big fan of H&K!
  12. I like Butler at RT. I couldn't find the college video of his hit on Kiwanuka, but that would probably satisfy the nasty requirement!
  13. Mitchell is a below average player with an above average ego. I really can't stand him and hope he never suits up for the Bills again. Thanks for yet another tweet that will make Buffalo look bad.
  14. Many AR-15 type guns now have removable handles or no handle at all. This is mainly due to the popularity of attaching optics to the rail on top of the receiver. Many people like to have flip up iron sights in case the optics are damaged or knocked out of alignment. My AR has the typical front sight, but I have removed the carry handle and rear sight. I'm a Federal or Gold Dot guy myself, I used to carry Silvertips in my .32 auto though. According to the research that I have done, the Federal HSTs are the best handgun ammo option available for self defense now.
  15. I have a Bushmaster, but I have never used a flip up sight. I have an Eotech on it right now. I have been thinking of purchasing a flip up rear sight though in case of mechanical failure with the Eotech. For any questions regarding AR-15s I go to ar15.com. They also have links to many of the best vendors. I have had good experiences with purchases from Brownells.com and Sogarmory.com.
  16. I heard they were also planning a "non-patriotic" 4th of July and a "pro-unemployment" labor day.
  17. Did you ever see "The Man Who's Arms Exploded" ? Pretty sick stuff.
  18. I can respect the decision not to eat meat (or any other food for that matter). It was the "manliness" thing that prompted my response. I would certainly never try to pressure someone into hunting their own food and it sounds like you have a similair outlook on vegetarianism. I will say though, if one chooses to eat meat, you will have a whole new appreciation for the meal once you have harvested an animal and butchered it yourself. I know this is not for everyone, but many hunters have a respect and admiration for the animals they hunt that you don't get from picking out a steak at Wegmans. I can assure you that the deer I have killed have been taken in the most humane way possible. I would never take a risky or difficult shot and most hunters that I know feel the same way.
  19. Let me ask you a question, do you pass judgement on other carnivores like cats, wolves, fish, etc, or do they get a bye because they don't have self-rightous members of their species to tell them that millions of years of evolution and nature are totally wrong about their diet?
  20. I love the sound of vinyl, but I'm finding that I really don't use my turntable enough. I'm thinking of selling it if I can get a decent price. I have a Rega 2 that I bought a couple years ago. http://www.needledoctor.com/Rega-P2-Turnta...mp;category=353
  21. In my younger days I had several speeding tickets and every one of them was reduced by talking to the DA prior to the court appearance. (This was over 10 years ago). Ask to speak to the DA and find out if they are willing to reduce the ticket. They will often reduce to something like "failure to obey a traffic device" or at least lower the speed violation to 65 in a 55. You would then plead guilty to the lower violation. Good Luck.
  22. Had on last night at 2am at Jimmy Tahous. Still paying for it this morning.
