  1. I have an authentic Losman throwback jersey you could purchase.
  2. I wonder if Tipper left the light on one too many times or if Al listened to Black Sabbath backwards? The big question in this divorce...Who gets to keep the "Worlds Best Self-Rightous Douchebag" mug?
  3. There's nothing better for close quarters defense than a shotgun. I have a Mossberg Persauder 12 gauge loaded with 00 buckshot.
  4. Wow, if someone forced me off the road and hopped out of thier car reaching for a gun, I would be reaching for mine in response. If in fact he had no way of knowing that the person approaching him was a cop, that is an incredibly stupid move by the officer. I think a person would be within the law to respond with deadly force if an unidentified person raises his gun and points it at you.
  5. It is kind of funny that as I write this, a topic about the woman that married Chef is right above "the definition of insanity".
  6. I hate to bring facts into a perfectly good rant, but you do have to meet qualifications to purchase a gun. Background checks are called in for any firearm purchase including rifles and shotguns. Restrictions can also be placed on an individual based on criminal history. Nowhere in my post did I advocate giving a gun to "anyone at anytime". The point was that Chicago has the strictest gun restrictions in the country and somehow criminals still manage to get guns. I'm simply shocked that the criminals ignore the ban . There is a reason the majority of mass shootings happen in "gun free zones".
  7. There is a good cover of that song on the Sons of Anarchy soundtrack.
  8. I think once you learn to safely handle a gun, you will be much more comfortable with the idea of owning one. Contrary to the rhetoric you often hear, virtually all responsible gun owners hope they never have to use their weapon to defend themselves. The chances of you turning into a crazed vigilante are pretty slim despite what Michael Moore would have you believe. There are a handfull of relatively knowledgeable gun owners on the board if you have any questions prior to purchasing. I always recommend the Smith & Wesson M&P compact series.
  9. How do you like the LCP? That is the polymer framed .38 revolver right?
  10. I wonder if they will prosecute this hero or if this will be swept under the rug and forgotten about. If you truly believe in the merits of total handgun bans, you have to put this 80 year old vigilante in prison! Hopefully this will help point out how assinine gun bans are. Criminals don't obey them and good citizens can't legally protect themselves from armed criminals. Thank god this man didn't let the government deny him of his constitutional right to protect himself. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/05/26/year-...test=latestnews Reminds me of one of my favorite old quotes..."I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6"
  11. Not sure if you have already hung the clock, but I have used these anchors many times and never had a problem. http://www.lowes.com/pd_132770-10337-50525...amp;Ntt=drywall anchor&Ntk=i_products&pl=1&currentURL=/pl__0__s?newSearch=true$Ntt=drywall anchor$y=14$x=32
  12. I went to highschool with her! (at Canandaigua) Don't remember too much about her though.
  13. I'm also a big fan of: http://failblog.org/ http://failbook.com/
  14. A little of topic, but whoever decided to put the annoying buzzer in cars when you don't buckle your seat belt should suffer a slow painfull death! I can't even drive 15 MPH around my block to a friends house without either fastening my seatbelt or being blasted with a loud, obnoxious tone.
  15. I really don't see it happening either, but I applaud Gary Pierce for slapping LA in the face.
  16. Looks like we were posting this at the same time. I love the idea of LA going dark. I bet it gets hot there with no AC.
  17. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/05/19...ayback-boycott/ If Los Angeles wants to boycott Arizona, it had better get used to reading by candlelight. That's the message from a member of Arizona's top government utilities agency, who threw down the gauntlet Tuesday in a letter to Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa by threatening to cut off the city's power supply as retribution. Gary Pierce, a commissioner on the five-member Arizona Corporation Commission, wrote the letter in response to the Los Angeles City Council's decision last week to boycott the Grand Canyon State -- in protest of its immigration law -- by suspending official travel there and ending future contracts with state businesses. "I received your message; please receive mine. As a statewide elected member of the Arizona Corporation Commission overseeing Arizona's electric and water utilities, I too am keenly aware of the 'resources and ties' we share with the city of Los Angeles," Pierce wrote. "If an economic boycott is truly what you desire, I will be happy to encourage Arizona utilities to renegotiate your power agreements so Los Angeles no longer receives any power from Arizona-based generation." This is great. I for one would love to see LA go dark for a while.
  18. I hate ABS brakes. If you are a poor driver, I am sure they can be very helpfull. I do not want the brake pedal pushing back at me. There should be a switch to turn it off like traction control in some cars.
  19. I would think the liability issues would be big. What if you had an emergency and your ignition lock device failed. Would people with asthma or COPD be exempt? I could just see all the running cars in bar parking lots, started before the drinking comenced! Breathalyzers often seem to take many attempts to get successful readings too. I may be in the minority, but I want less electronic crap on my car. I would be extremely upset if a non-essential electronic device malfunctioned and rendered my car useless when I was trying to get to work in the morning.
  20. I am hooked on Justified. Great show that is bridging the gap between Sons Of Anarchy seasons!
  21. I seem to remember reading about several cases of failure due to the gun not fully locking after a shot. The result was not pretty. If I can find any of the articles I will post them. It seems like an interesting gun, but I would not be too confident that I could find ammo if SHTF. A little off topic, but if you have not had the chance to fire a Smith M&P, take a look at one. I traded in my H&K for a M&P.40 compact and later bought a .45 full size. Outstanding ergonomics and accuracy. ar15.com is a great place to get some opinions too.
  22. If I were 21 again, I would go with a fine champagne...Perhaps the champagne of beers...Miller High Life!
  23. The D&C is a sad excuse for a newspaper. Unfortunatley for us Rochestarians, there is no longer a viable alternative paper.
  24. And yet you took the time to post about something you claim to care nothing about?
  25. I always thought that stood for Italian Retard Out Cruising?
