Yeah, it all sounds good now. He better put it to work on the field this year. He cost us multiple first downs and scoring opportunities last year with those lapses in concentration. The schedule is tougher and the expectations are higher. We need him to continue his evolution into Shockey 2.0

Please dear God, let us have Bills football this year.

Alexander open to returning to Bills

Absolutely, I would take Lorax back for a stretch run if we were in need. No learning curve, fresh legs, situational pass rusher, LB flexibility, and ST prowess. -
Am I the only one sick of the DAK
H2o replied to Behindenemylines's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's a decent QB trying to maximize his value just as Kirk Cousins did. You can't blame him honestly because you see how much $$$ Kirk has made doing it. He also has the upper hand in the situation being he doesn't have to take a deal. He can make almost $70,000,000 the next two years under the tag and then sign a big deal with Dallas or elsewhere. -
Browns and Garrett agree on 5 year 125 million extension

Good football player. Hope they have some clauses in there for if he loses it again. -
Dawkins makes "Honorable Mention" on ESPN top tackle list
H2o replied to Stank_Nasty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tunsil @ #2 though? The guy is a penalty machine and gets away with a lot more than he actually gets called for. He's like the Lee Smith of OT's. -
I understand we have some flexibility, but I think that flexibility needs to be reserved for our core group first. Yannick is alright, but he only had 1.5 more sacks last year than Shaq on 300 more snaps. That hardly screams $20,000,000 per season to me. Then throw in the possibility of giving up a 1st as well? That's a pass over here. I don't see him as a difference maker like Von Miller, or Chandler Jones, Khalil Mack, or either Bosa. I don't see him as an addition that would put us over the top in the AFC. I think we have a group collectively right now that is going to surprise some people to be honest. If we get back a 100% healthy Hughes then you throw in Addison, Murphy, Johnson, and Epenesa? I think we could get 30-35 sacks from the DE position alone, possibly more if Hughes is on his game and Addision keeps with his average over the last few seasons. Also, with the guys we have now outside of Murphy, I think our run defense is going to be better on the edges. This isn't even counting the fact that Jefferson has some scheme versatility to play multiple positions along the front. I also think we added more than we lost on the interior of the defense by getting Jefferson, along with Butler, and then we have Harry coming back. I have full confidence in this team to get 50 sacks this year without Yannick. I can't see us paying the price to get him and then keep him.

He's not worth the $$$ he thinks he is. We have a few key guys coming up on the end of their rookie deals we need to re-sign. Dawkins, Tre, and Milano. Josh and Edmunds will be up for new deals before you know it. They also have to take into account the possible financial impact of Covid in all of this. If the salary cap goes down next year then we need flexibility to sign these other guys. It's not smart to give up assets for and then have to pay a DE $18,000,000-$20,000,000 per season (even though I think Ngakoue's looking for even more than that).

I doubt the players go for this. Hopefully they listened to Marshawn and took care of their chicken.

Washington DC Needs a New Football Nickname: Help Them Out
H2o replied to Nextmanup's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Washington War Bonnets that way they could still keep a Native American connection, one that would be acceptable. They could come up with a design that wraps around a helmet with their colors for this. -
Maybe because someone feels the need to take a stance for all of the good cops who are being demonized for the actions of a few? Obviously this already struck a nerve with you and it hasn't even happened yet. Like I originally said, whatever the reasons may be, you would quickly see the shoe end up on the other foot.

I don't know if this has been covered in the 9 previous pages, because I don't really feel like reading through all 9 pages, but I wanted to ask an honest question. What if people kneel during this so called Black National Anthem? Say they are people doing so in support of local police or whatever their reason may be. Then what? Will that be seen as acceptable? Probably not. My thought is you would see how quickly the shoe ends up on the other foot. The MSM would be pumping it all over as a hate crime or something re-tarded as such. This whole thing is not only ridiculous, it's a recipe for disaster. It sure as hell isn't going to bring people together that were seen as apart before. If anything it will drive the wedge further.

Josh Allen and the Deep Ball - Roundtable Discussion
H2o replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Towards the end of the year, when Josh hit a few of those deeper passes, he was doing exactly what Moon said. He took some of the mustard off, put a little more air under the ball, and it was on a dime. The throw to John Brown against the Pats is a perfect example. -
Who is the starting QB in NE and more poll
H2o replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Newton starts the year at QB, but falls victim to the injury bug again at some point so Stidham finishes the year as the starter. Cam's body has been failing him over the last 3 years or so and his style of play doesn't bode well for that to change. Josh and Lamar better take notes if they want to have a long career in the NFL. As far as the playoffs go? That's a no from me. I think they are 8-8 and just miss out on a Wild Card. -
No fans? NYS has apparently released guidelines
H2o replied to The Firebaugh Kid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How is this going to work with the pre-snap huddle, social distancing? Seriously though, without fans, how is this going to work for play calling? Is every player going to be given a receiver in their helmet so they all directly receive the initial play call from the OC? -
He's comparing Taylor to JA by numbers alone. Any of us Bills fans who have watched the both of them for an extended period of time know the differences that lie outside of just numbers. Like Tyrod being captain check-down which inflates his completion percentage. Josh takes more shots, looking for larger chunks of yardage than did Taylor. We know about Tyrod not being anywhere as close to clutch as has been Josh. Josh can simply make throws that Tyrod couldn't make if his life depended on it. Tyrod had more agility than Josh and made some crazy plays avoiding tackles, but Josh is 5" taller and about 35lbs heavier than Tyrod so he doesn't go down as easy when hit. I would also like to see the percentage of drops during Tyrod being at the helm versus Josh as well if we are going by numbers. Either way, a lot of what he says is true. There is a reason to be both optimistic and pessimistic because of the things Josh has done on the field at certain points. But if you look at his first year compared to his 2nd year, then you see a ton of growth and maturation. We made the right choice in going all in on Allen over sticking with Tyrod.

I think he ends up at home, eating a bag of his favorite gummy snacks, working on more crappy music. -

COVID-19 took the heat off Belichek & Kraft

Roger: Bill, you have to let the dog make the next three picks and we'll call it even. Belichick: Done. -
And I totally respect this as well my friend. I, myself, am still being smart about things. I have a 12 and 14 year old I go home to every day. I wash my hands, have never been a close talker so I always keep distance anyway, and I have tried to avoid my older family members whom I may feel are more susceptible in this time. I'm glad your son is well also. It's very scary, situations like that. I understand your point about the facilities though, the bathrooms, concessions, and such. Thank you for the well written and thought out responses.
-
And I can totally respect your response. On my end, I won't be getting a vaccine. I've never even had a flu shot in all of my years. The only time my children ever got one was when they were 5 & 3 because of my ex-wife. They both got the flu within a month, my 3 year old's turned into a viral pneumonia, and he almost died. PICU for 4 days at a local hospital. They won't be getting the vaccine either. I miss sports somewhat, as they were a form of escape, but I don't need them for as much as I would like to watch them. My point in all of this is this may be exactly like the flu. It may pop up every single year, shot or no shot. The flu shot doesn't even protect those who decide to get one every year. What if the vaccine doesn't work and what exactly are they putting into this vaccine? It may never end. The answer may also be herd immunity. Just like when they start out in school, little kids seem to be catching something all of the time. As they get older it slows down. Why? Because they have caught many of these viruses going around already and their body has adapted to them. Maybe that's the true answer to all of this? Who knows? I just know that neither you, nor I, nor everyone else in this world can survive in a plastic bubble. There is no such thing as never ending handouts. At some point you have to take your chances or watch this whole place turn into one, big anarchist free-for-all. In this regard I am not talking about sports, I'm talking about making it in life in general.

For all of the people going on about this, how many times have you been sick, went to the doctor, and the response you get from them is, "You have a virus and it will just have to run it's course" as the result of your visit? Who honestly knows what the heck most of us have contracted over the years? Out of the 9,273,773 who've contracted it there have been 477,807 deaths. That is death rate for the infected of 5.1%. That is with 40% of those deaths coming from nursing homes and assisted living facilities, even with the numbers being skewed all over. This lines more up with a flu like situation due the age range of the typically more critical cases. To compare letting people go out in public to that of drunk driving is completely dumb. This is the first time in the history of man the world has been shut down by a virus as such. Fear for your lives, don't interact with people, wear a mask, you're selfish for wanting to go about a normal life, you could be the reason someone dies, you can't be in the hospital with a sick loved one, if said loved one dies you can't have a proper funeral where everyone gets to pay their respects, businesses need to be shut down, people's livelihoods destroyed, but this is all necessary, right? Seems legit. At the same time "peaceful protests" and gatherings of thousands in the street standing shoulder to shoulder screaming like a bunch of idiots is alright though. You can't open that business, but it's alright for people to run around burning businesses to the ground. You can't have a proper funeral for your loved one who died of cancer, alone, because the doctors wouldn't let his family be by his side, but we can have a huge gathering that is nationally televised for the funeral of some. Normal people, yes, you law abiding citizens, shouldn't be going out to hang in groups larger than X amount of people, but it's cool if you take over X amount of blocks in a city and have thousands all hang around each other because it a "love fest" for the summer of 2020. If you can't see through all of this I can't help you. Is the Coronavirus real? Absolutely. I know people who've had it. Some had no idea they had it, while others were actually sick. Sars, Mers, H1N1, Ebola, Malaria, Influenza, and a host of others are all real as well. People have died from those all over the world. None of these have ever shut the world down so to speak. We went from flatten the curve, to we need a cure for everything to go back to normal. Riiiiight. Things can't be the same until we have worldwide vaccination. Riiiiiight. You need to have some kind of mark or carry papers that prove you have been vaccinated. Riiiiiight. We're going to install this Covid-19 tracker app on your phones, and not tell you about it when we do it, but use it so we can track every person's whereabouts who is stupid enough to activate it. Seems normal, right? Like I said before, I love football and the Bills. The more this drags though, and with all of the rest of this stuff going on, the less and less I care about any kind of sports in general. If people want to go to games then so be it. If you want to walk around with a measuring tape making sure people are exactly 6ft away while wearing a cloth mask, which actually protects you from nothing, then so be it. To each their own, but don't try to demonize others by acting like what you have chosen to believe should be gospel for everyone.
