Kyler Murray: How did the Cardinals fall for it?
H2o replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
This has always been known. I have watched him deflect all blame, throw teammates under the bus, and throw coaches under the bus the last 4 years. This isn't anything new. It's always been his MO. Larry Fitz's father put him on blast, but it got swept under the rug for the most part. Where do you think that came from? From being around Murray and talking to his son. He said the kid needed to humble himself, is spoiled, and needs to mature. I fully believed it at the time and it's even more evident now. I believe there were a lot of people shaking their head at AZ giving Kyler that big contract, regardless of how the sport media clowns were trying to paint it. They are reaping the fruits of their investment again right now. -

Kyler Murray: How did the Cardinals fall for it?

Was he really though? I'm thinking more along the lines of Pete Carroll is a genius and hid Russ' flaws all of these years. Look what he's getting out of Geno right now, the same Geno Smith who hasn't done squat in the NFL up to this point. Russ is a bum -
Ravens and Lamar do not reach contract agreement
H2o replied to Steel City Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lamar isn't worth more $$$ than Mahomes or Allen, but neither are any of the QB's getting paid more than them right now. Lamar is sitting in that Dak and Kirk Thuggins tier, former MVP or not. We'll see how it plays out, but a Franchise Tag followed by a trade wouldn't shock me depending on how things play out this offseason. -
Kyler Murray: How did the Cardinals fall for it?

The same way the Broncos fell for it with Russell Wilson. -
Injuries happen. It's just a bad year for us injury wise, not what we had grown accustomed to, so everyone is more focused on it as a whole around here.

Already down multiple starters, we lose Dawkins and Miller today. The defense struggled a bit at times, especially on 3rd downs again, but Oliver and Jones had big games. The offense struggled at times to get anything going. Even still, Josh and Diggs flipped the switch when needed and we got a huge victory against a scrappy Lions team that had won 3 on a row. We're 8-3 and it's on to New England.

The Chroise!!!!!

Uhhhh, actually, we did deserve this win. Josh and Diggs flipped the switch on those last two drives, then willed us to victory.

But the forced fumble against Cam Newton..............How dare you?.............. Okay, okay

McKenzie's Place in the Offense Going Forward
H2o replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
I say let Shakir get his run as the starting Slot. He's looked decent when given the opportunity and we already know what we have in McKenzie at this point. We should still use McKenzie, but he's just not a starter in this league. -
Oh, so you're actually being serious. We had a previous poster who had "sources from deep within the organization" on here who was a total clown. We'll see how reliable yours are. I was expecting Tre back on the field for the Pats game tbh.
-
Are these "sources" from deep within?
-
Getting Rousseau back will be big as well if it happens. The Lions are a feisty bunch, but I hope we hang enough points on them early to rest guys most of the 2nd half.
-
The last two 2nd halves have both been without Tremaine Edmunds. For as much crap as I, and everyone else, have given the guy, the stats don't lie. This defense is better with him on the field.

Do you see the Josh Allen era Bills as having a "window"?
H2o replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Allen is the truth. He is undoubtedly a top 3 QB in this league, and #1 in my opinion. As long as you have a guy like that, you have a shot to win it all every year. Outside of the Pats run, where they won 6 Championships in 2 decades, stuff like that never generally happens. Some teams may get a couple or three in a single Era, but not the Pats type of success. The health of your star players is a huge deciding factor as well. If we get one, just one SB, I will be happy. Anything after that is a plus. I do think if we win one, we could very well end up winning 3 though. The way this team is built, and the core of relatively young guys we have, makes it very possible. We shall see. I hope that one SB is finally this year, but a lot of football left to go. -
I'm happy for Jerry. He was a great member of the Bills for years. He had some stupid penalties at times, and had trouble actually getting home for the sack when we needed it most, but he was always up there in pressure rates. He's having a bit of a revival in Houston. Good for him. We needed to look to the future and see what we had in the younger guys. That's what we are doing. He would be a nice rotational piece if we still had him, but they wanted to use the $$$ elsewhere. I'm not disappointed he's gone. Our DL has definitely been upgraded versus last year. It's a win for both the Bills and Hughes, except Jerry's team isn't winning.

Yeah, my son actually quit playing. I didn't think that would happen. I know he had at least one concussion, possibly two, by the time he was 13. I told him it was completely up to him if he wanted to keep playing and he has chosen not to. He was good, a really good LB especially. But I'd rather him not suffer like some of the people you see now days, so I was actually kind of relieved when he hung up the cleats. That was two years ago. I will support him if he changes his mind at any point and wants to go back though.
