Ironically I have heard this is what really birthed tailgating as we know it today. It was before my time so I don't know how much truth there is to that but I have read that Buffalo was behind the times and the Rockpile was the last stadium where you could bring your own booze in. Fans counter punched by just drinking out in the parking lots before the game at Rich Stadium

It's amazing how some of these kids today try to minimize the careers of absolute legends. There was a Jaromir Jagr quote a few years back on the same topic but in the NHL and to paraphrase him he said something along the lines of how it was ridiculous to think the old stars would be bums nowadays. He said how he was still keeping up at age 50 playing professional hockey and how Mario and Wayne were better than he was and they would have had no problem still dominating in today's NHL. Yes training and nutrition are much different today but if you are going to make these silly era comparisons you have to factor in the old school guys would have the same elite training and nutrition programs the current players do.

Best individual player season in Bills history?

Brian Moorman- 2008 -
I hope you were at least able to grab a complimentary popcorn while you were waiting in line

And Josh Allen didn't???
-
I still remember the JP Losman hype when he was drafted. That he was going to be a modern day Jim Kelly/Brett Favre kind of Quarterback. I feel like Josh Allen ended up being everything Losman was hyped up to be(and then some!)

It's crazy because of how good we have already seen him play but it feels like Allen is just entering his true prime now. 28 is around the age when Jim Kelly started going to Super Bowls. It's around the time in Michael Jordan's career when he started winning championships. It feels like this could only just be the beginning for Josh Allen's career. It feels amazing to be a Bills fan right now

Jared Goff didn't want to be drafted by Buffalo (unsubstantiated)

Think Buffalo Sabres now -
Same. He will never come out and admit this publicly but I would think he probably regrets going through with this. On paper it probably looked like there were enough pieces to work with to at least turn this team into a playoff team but there's just too many holes/issues with the roster. And these guys always say the right things in the press conferences etc. but it has just been a mentally soft group over the years.

I gave one to the entire O-Line but Spencer in particular really balled out today -
Not one of those guys have ever won a Super Bowl

Allen- Of Course Offensive Line Oliver Joe Brady- Called a hell of a game today which was going to be much needed to keep pace with Ben Johnson & Co -
Yes! She was so confident in that was going to be a Hell of a deal

My rep said there will be 1-3% increases every year but pitched it like it was a good thing because of how steep the price increases are right now lol. Said something about how the PSL prevents the annual season ticket increase from getting too out of hand.

On my Mt. Rushmore of 90's hotties!

We both felt like once our rep realized we weren't going to be signing up on the spot she started using some sales tactics on us to create urgency so maybe that was her strategy. She asked us what we would feel comfortable with paying for a PSL and she would contact us when other sections were opened up

This era was before my time and I didn't really know much about them so it was pretty cool to learn some new NFL history. Mark Gastineau is a real piece of work though

Isn't that the stuff Pinto Ron drinks out of his bowling ball?

I think it was a little bit of both for me. I feel like it would be paying a lot more money for what is going to feel like a more watered down experience at the new stadium. I mean the stadium is going to look beautiful but I'm old school and I go more for the gameday atmosphere. Which also leads me to my next point. I am also slowing down on partying etc these days and the gamedays at the stadium are starting to take a toll and it's such a long day from the time you get on the road to the time you are back home. Once the announcement was made I had a pretty good feeling this was going to be the end of my run as a season ticket holder. I still wanted to go to the experience to get a chance to preview what the new place is going to look like. All in all it is a pretty nice presentation they have put together and I liked our sales rep. She was very nice, although once she realized we were not going to sign on the dotted line today she threw a bunch of sales techniques and cliches out there that tried to make it sound like if we didn't sign up by the end of this week there was a good chance our seats would be gone by then lol

Had my stadium experience today. Was about what I expected. It was pretty cool to see what some things are going to look like. We pretty much knew going into it we were going to drop out, we are in the $6,000 PSL seats range. She said they don't know what the PSL fees are going to be for the endzones and upper decks but we would be contacted when those open up.

For those of us still living in Western New York the Tool Man is making an appearance at Fallsview Casino in April. I watched Home Improvement as a kid. Really didn't watch too much of his standup. I'm debating about getting tickets for some family members as a Christmas gift. That's not a personality you will see come up this way too often so might be cool.
