If Ralph hires a new coach and GM now, the benefit is the GM is in before the trade deadline. He could potentially start building his team for next year RIGHT NOW and not wait for the offseason.

ON some teams they are players that can play the role of firestarter. Takeo Spikes, Ray Lewis, Darryl Talley, Thurman Thomas to name a few. On a team where a coach isn't firey (like Dungy), a player like Manning can do it. ON the Bills, I can't think of a single player that would get in the face of somebody and tell them to step it the !@#$ up.

It isn't that they got rid of peters. I have no problem with that. It is that they replaced him with Walker, and then a week before the season decided that wouldn't work. Getting rid of a player is fine. Patriots do it all the time. The problem is who you replace him with, and the Bills clearly screwed the pooch on that one.
