If Jauron was really a "moran"
todd replied to Chautauqua Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was also their 4th year in the same scheme under DJ, and had been drafting and signing FA players for that scheme for 4 years. There really was no more learning curve, and the personnel he had fit his particular defense and offense. The Bills are rebuilding. This is what happens when you start with a team that has drafted poorly for 10 years and try to turn it around. It takes time. -
Don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Broncos WR Kenny McKinley dead - suicide
todd replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is terrible. Makes me really sad to see that. -
Sullivan is a whiny little B word. He desperately seeks the negative side of every situation and tries to compose an article about it. The only "Journalist" I know who might be worse than Sullivan is Matthews in Rochester. And it is close. This latest article is one of the worst he's ever written.

Are you trying to be funny or do you actually think that is a possibility?

Spiller probably sat because he's a rookie facing a huge rush. Rookie RBs generally can't pick up a blitz or a rushing linebacker to save their lives, and so my guess is they sat him for more experienced backs that had a chance of blocking. If that is the case I understand the reasoning, but I think maybe he should have seen the field a bit more. The other problem is that if you read the board here, fans are in no mood to be patient with a rookie RB. He's going to make mistakes, he's going to miss blocks, and he's going to dance around before hitting a hole because it worked for him in college. Like the rest of the team while the Bills are rebuilding, it will take time for him. But it seems as if idiot fans don't realize that, and are impatient. The fact is fans MUST be patient with a new coach, new schemes, new GM, etc. As bad as the Bills have drafted over the past 10 years, we're going to have to go through this before it gets better. If you are a kitty and can't hack it, I suggest you stop watching for a year or two.

How many poor games in a row until the coach is fired?
todd replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Really? Fire the coach after two games? Really? -
So How Has Drafting Spiller #1 Helped Us?
todd replied to FlutieFlake's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good God. Pretty hard to answer after two games, wouldn't you say? -
Little doubt our O-Line is the NFL's worst now
todd replied to billsfreak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is pretty accurate. To blame everything on the QB is wrong, because the o-line sucks. To say Edwards is a good QB is wrong, because he is horrible. The offensive line, QB, and TEs are a complete joke. Really - a parade of fools. -
my butt is aching the packers whipped me darn good my name is edwards

I hate spastic unrealistic trade scenarios.

As much as I dislike Sully and his usual negative whining and general douchebaginess, I think he's spot on on this one as well.
-
Seriously? You want a fat-assed loudmouth bufoon who is so obnoxious he alienates 1/2 the fans? I hate that mofo. A coach of his caliber couldn't seem to beat the Ravens at home with that D, or all the FAs they pulled in this year. I'll pass.

Yes the passing game sucked BUT
todd replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep, If asked to rank them I'd rank the checkdown problem as #1 and then the oline problem as a close second. Remove those issues, and problem solved. The other stuff can be overcome if the above two are solved. Except maybe the God part. If he's pissed off, we're screwed. -
Yes the passing game sucked BUT

The answer is simple. Some people will try to say it is one thing, but is a combination of a few: 1. The O-line couldn't open holes. 2. We don't have TEs to block. 3. Trent checked down all the time, allowing the dolphins to stack the box. 4. Spiller danced around like a fruitcake. 5. God. It's God's fault. -
Yes, Trent is at fault there as well, but unless you know the blocking assignments you are talking out of your ass. Looks to me like Bell picked up a guy stunting inside, where he maybe would have wanted to take the blitzing LB on the outside. Major whiff by Bell there. Thank you. The obvious escapes some people. People always love to blame the QB, who is not blameless, but good GOD that is an obvious case of Bell being a dumbass.

Dude - this is a 5 or 6 win team. 8-8 in this division would be fantastic for a rebuilding team. Let's be realistic here.

*Sigh* I come to the board and find negative posts about

The retard rollercoaster is still giving rides, but the ride now has a different theme. DOOM! -
I'm amazed that people underestimate what a task the Bills have ahead of them to rebuild this team. How many other teams head into the draft with starters needed at 6 positions, and only 7 rounds to do it in? Did people really think Buffalo was going to be good this year, especially in the first game of the season with new systems on both sides of the ball? Christ, I'm amazed they kept it that close.

News Flash: The O-Line Played Well Today (sans Green)
todd replied to Got_Wood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trent was not good, and part of that was the oline, and part of it was trent being not a good QB. He looked like the same old trent to me. I was rooting for him to have an epiphany, but after 1 game it doesn't look like he did. Thankfully it was only one game. I think the oline is very important, but the Bills had too many holes to fill in one draft. One of those holes was oline, another was dline, another was TE, another was LB, another was QB, another was WR. If you can figure out a way to get six starters out of a 7 round draft (realistically, not with any silly trade up & down idiocy), I'd love to hear it! That said, I'm not sure I would have taken RB in the first round, but you get my picture. I think this year we were screwed. Too many holes to fill, not enough ways to do it. I'm sorry, ICE, but you have been posting retarded **** here for years. Trent does suck, but so did the oline. It is difficult to grasp that there can be more than one cause and more than one effect, but please try for the sake of people who come across your posts. I can help you if you want. -
News Flash: The O-Line Played Well Today (sans Green)
todd replied to Got_Wood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is this post a joke? Did you watch the same game I did? Did you see Bell whiffing on blocks? Did you even watch the game? Trent Edwards had a crappy game, and looked the same as last year. He needs to get the ball out faster, and not be a kitty with the downfield throws. But the failure to see how crappy the o-line played and their inability to hold a block or open holes ... I'm just speechless. How can someone who watches football not see that. The O-line wasn't very good, ESPECIALLY both tackles. Bell was marginally better than Green, but Green displayed one of the worst performances by an o-lineman that I've ever seen. Ever. The guy blows. Dude ... just stop now. You're digging yourself a hole that you can't get out of. You should really not continue insisting that the O-line played well because the FACT is that they didn't. And that isn't a total excuse for Trent because he didn't play well either, but that performance was one of the worst I've ever seen by an O-line. Just horrendous. Trent didn't even have time to take a 3 step drop, and Chan realized how crappy the line was and put him in the shotgun and that didn't help either. Rewatch the game, and this time not on crack. -
Hey doof, 1st game of a new offense and defense and new coach. What did you expect, fireworks? We all know what this team is made of, so I don't understand how people are surprised with what happened today. The team will look good at times this season, and it will also look really bad. Those who expect otherwise are nuts.
