  1. You can recycle this exact quote and replace "Lee" with the other defence Dave ('Stache) and replace "Wildcat" with Defence and it works just as well.........
  2. Good thing Ray didn't hurt a dog that night in Atlanta, people wouldn't be falling all over themselves to praise him as such an amazing human being then.............. I just find it said that this guy is being praised and being pushed as a role model because he is good at football, while everyone just passes over the fact he was involved somehow in the death of 2 people. But hey, he is a great football player so all is forgiven
  3. yeah, but its so much easier to just assume that Nix is a braindead Hick who is incompetent and is only trying to make our lives miserable. Its more likely Jackson was brought in as an insurance policy if Fitz went down this season to injury while the Bills were fighting for a playoff spot. Thigpen has more experience in the offence that he would be capable enough to fill in to finish a game if needed, but not good enough in their opinion to rely on as a starter. I don't see what was wrong with the TJ trade, they gave up whats typically a throw away pick to get a guy they had liked in the past, convinced him to re-negotiate to a more team friendly deal for a reserve, and had the chance to work with and see what they guy can do first hand all season during practice. If they waited for him to be cut, he could have signed anywhere, a 7th round pick assured that he couldn't and he was theres. I would have no problem trying to re-sign him this offseason and let him compete for a job in training camp. For those saying that he isn't good cause the Vikes and Seahawks let him go, the Packers and the Seahawks are letting Flynn go too and theres a big group thats saying the Bills should go after him.
  4. Yeah, good luck with that $100million might be enough to purchase the land and get the design work started for it Then, in 7-10 years what do you do with the stadium when the Bills leave and theres no team to use it here? The point of this is to fix up the Ralph to bring it up to a somewhat minimum/respectible standard for an NFL facility and keep it alive for 10 more years, and when new ownership is worked out and its determined if Buffalo will still have an NFL team in 10 years time, they can start the discussions on building a new permanent facility. They aren't going to start anything to build a new stadium until Ralph is gone and a new owner buys the team because the lease only somewhat guarantees that the team is in Buffalo for atleast 7 years. I find it funny that there are complaints about a new store being built and how this money should not be used to build anything that can generate increased revenue for the team, coming from a fan base that throws tantrums because Ralph won't get a corporate sponsors name on the stadium. Why would you not want the money to go to help increase the teams revenue and make them more money? Thats the only way to help make sure the team can stay in Buffalo long term, by increasing the money they can make. The government is going to lose alot more then what they are putting in if the team is no longer in buffalo.......
  5. I'm not saying that they shouldn't go after a QB, or they don't need one, just that everyone is blaming Nix cause they don't have one in place already. Then they blame him already for not taking guys that haven't shown more then a seasons worth of stats.
  6. Where you also one of the MANY around here who blasted nix for picking up Spiller, calling him a bust before the end of last year?
  7. Funny, a few weeks ago this board would have exploded with joy seeing a list that had Buffalo taking T'eo at #8, now everyone once to pass because of a Bowl game?
  8. And the same members of the retard rodeo that are complaining that they traded Lynch away, or shouldn't have drafted Spiller cause we already had Lynch are the same ones who were screaming Lynch had to be moved because he was going to get suspended for a season and was a horrible human being (hits pedestrians, smokes weed, steals $20 from cops wives)
  9. What have either of those 2 players shown in the NFL that makes you think they are anything more then "Grass is always greener" players (i.e. guys that everyone thinks are better then what we have because they aren't surrently on the team)? They started with trent edwards and moved on to Fitz who prior to his injury last year looked really good. They have had developmental guys here too that haven't worked out (Brian Brohm, Levi Brown), and this year even brought in Tavaris Jackson to look at. Its not that they haven't tried to upgrade the QB position, they just haven't tried very hard, or been successful getting a franchise guy, and they haven't gone about it how everyone wants them too (up until last years draft, everyone said they don't need a QB, Fitz was good enough, we needed a pass rush or something else first) Russell Wilson was so a risky pick also. No one expected him to play like he did this season (he started out slow and was almost benched too), For every Wilson theres a Locker, or Gabbert, Ponder, or <insert mediocre QB here>. Fans really need to wait a year or 2 before annointing other teams QBs as failures of the Bills for not getting them. Every year there seems to be someone who comes out and gets everyone excited, because of their play for part of a season, and then they fizzle out once teams get a book on them and figure out how to stop them. look at Matt Cassell, Vicks old backup from the Eagles who went to the Cards, Aaron Rodgers backup who lost his job to Wilson in training camp this year, dereck Anderson on the Cards. Now everyone wants Cousins and Foles, who haven't even shown as much as everyones favorite Bills QB mistake Rob Johnson had prior to coming here
  10. had a drink a few months ago when we had a get together before my buddy had his baby, One of the guys was saying the drink was called (or atleast he remembers it being called) a "Porch monkey" It was some german beer and I think lemonade in about a 50-50 mix. Otherwise I would say Guiness, a drink that most people don't want to try because it looks so dark and heavy, but it is all I will drink usually if its available
  11. Did he buy season tickets?
  12. I would want him just because there may come a time where the R would fall off his name plate of his jersey and the entire stadium could chant K - UGER (in the old car horn voice)
  13. Of course leave out the fact that Smith got better once Harbaugh came in and his coaching was a little more consistent, and they started to get him actual weaponogs on offence besides Gore. Then throw away teh fact that Fitz has played the last few seasons in an offence that was throw first (second and third) with the occasional run tossed in to try and throw teams off their game plan. No one is saying to go out and get Smith and expecting him to be a saviour here, people are just saying that he is a better stop gap for now if we don't end up with a rookie who will step up to the pro bowl in year one. Smith might be looking for a place where he can become the undisputed starter, but thats most likely not going to happen unless he can go somewhere and show the league that he isn't just a mediocre QB on a team carried by a defence. Outside of the jets, I don't think theres a team in the league thats going to go out and give him the starting job without there being a rookie/young QB behind him being groomed
  14. Throw in the fact that the 49ers knew what they had in kaepernick that they went out and re-signed Smith, gave him the starting job out of training camp, and continued with Smith to lead the NFC West until Smith wasknocked out of a game with a concussion and kaepernick was forced to start and they liked what they saw in him that they decided to let him continue to start
  15. Could be that he has turned down offers to stay in Montreal, or that teams are leery of bringing in a guy from the CFL?
  16. I wasn't talking about players transfering, I was straight up comparing it to jumping to the NFL, like people are mad at Kelly for thinking about doing. Players may not be "paid" in money, but they are being paid in free schooling and being given the chance to showcase themselves for millions in the pros. The coaches go out and recruit these players to play for their programs, you seem to be fine that the students recruited should be able to leave whenever they want to go to the NFL, yet its not ok for the coach to do the same when they get an opportunity? Seems kind of hypocritical and whiney because you don't want to lose your coach.......... Kelly isn't making "millions off their sweat", he is doing his job, coaching a football team and recruiting kids to the school, and the players aren't going to be making millions off his hard work when they get drafted into the NFL because his coaching helped them out and get the opportunity to play in the big leagues? These kids are using him for their own personal gain too, you think that these kids aren't making their choice to play for the coach and school that gives them the best opportunity to move on to the NFL, just like he is recruiting the best to help him have a successful team to further his reutation and record along with the schools? I do agree that really it is the opposite of what most feel college sports should be about. But they have become a business to fund schools and their programs, and as a minor league development system for the proffesional sports leagues. They are a stepping stone for these kids to get to the NFL, and for most coaches to get the experience to eventually go on to the NFL too. The Education part of it being a school is minor, and only still exists because they have to in order to justify it being part of a school.
  17. I don't think Stevie needs Nelson coming back to be freed up to do more downfield, he just needs someone who other teams know is a threat to get him the ball downfield more.I would not have a problem with the bills not making any moves at WR this year and just go into next year with these same guys and a new QB. I think that it really hurt the WRs that they had a QB that everyone knew was limited and not a threat to go downfield often, they also knew his accuracy wasn't good and he missed alot of throws to WRs that a QB should be making If Welker isn't good enough for the Patriots anymore, why would he be good here? They don't usually let guys they know can still play at a high level walk. This isn't Patriots "haterade", its knowing that they don't usually just let guys who are still good walk
  18. Why is this any different then a recruited player deciding after a season or 2 to jump ship to the NFL once they have a chance instead of playing out their time at a college? If a recruited player can jump ship to the the NFL as soon as thy can, why can't the coach? I'm sure the player didn't say to the coach recruiting them that they were only staying at the school until the first chance they could enter the draft at a decent spot
  19. So, If they were to rehire him, would he be a bad choice because he is a retread, fired from his last HC gig?Trestmans name has come up many times almost every year in coaching searches. His team is usually one of the best in the CFL every year, he would ahve been a good pick for them I think
  20. They just got him this offseason, I don't think he is moved, and if he is, doubt its for anything.I think they keep him and move a vet at the end of their deal (Leopold), or a young players that hasn't lived up to potential (Weber)
  21. looking at their roster, they almost have too They have too many guys on defence right now and they can't send most of them down without having to clear waivers first. So its either work out a trade, or take the chance fo losing some assetts for free
  22. But I don't think he was happy playing in a 3-4, and one fo the reasons he came to Buffalo was that he preffered playing in a 4-3 IIRC
  23. Its funny how guys were falling all over themselves here wanting Chip Kelly here to run this team, Yet they complain that the new OC hire doesn't have enough experience when he has more NFL experience then Kelly, and almost as much experience as a college OC as Kelly.
  24. No where does it say he was using it or running it while he was here last time, It just said that it was while he was here that he picked it up from Kelly and AVP when he was here. It does say that he ran it successfully last year as the OC in Syracuse
