Sanchez to start this weekend vs. Bills
apuszczalowski replied to Maybe Someday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thats what I said earlier, I'm thinking all of the Above............Can't wait for the Influx of tantrums here after the game Sunday -
Is he really? You would atleast once in that 4 year span a "fierce Competitor" would dedicate himself to winning the SB instead of using it as an excuse to Party................
-
While we are at it, lets see if we can convince Jim to come back and play QB for us, and does anyone know if Thurman and Bruce would like to give it another shot playing again? You do realise that the Colts FIRED Chris and Saint Polian because that franchise struggled to get 2 wins without Peyton at QB?

Funny how last season this was exactly what everyone wanted because George Edwards was the worst DC in the history of the NFL. I never said I liked it or was pushing for this to happen, its just what I see happening this offseason. The reason why I see the Bills naming him HC AND getting a new OC and DC is that he is the only one with substantial HC experience on his resume, and this move will cause the least amount of turnover to the current coaching staff which will keep them from starting over again from scratch. I guess my comment has top be rediculous though because its just so easy to do what you are suggesting, fire DW and just hire a top DC who runs a 4-3 defence, cause those guys are always just available and waiting to be hired all the time. A top 10 defence, if, as you suggest wins atleast 3 more games this year, still keeps the Bills out of the playoffs since no AFC team is even making the playoffs at 8-8.

We know it, and yet there will still be multiple Tantrum threads here the next day......... -
Isn't that what the Colts basically did last year? Fall back on Luck? j/k Who knows, thast the thing. I could be as soon as next year if things go right, or if they decided to blow everything up again like everyone wants, it could be many years from now. Building a successful football team isn't an exact science. Theres many different ways of doing it, and it depends what your end goal is. Do you want something thats going to win now and continue to win, or go for broke this year and start over again next? And yes, Luck is a huge part in all of sports when it comes to success and rebuilding. The Raiders and 49ers both were "lucky" enough to get the 1st overall pick and be able to take the best player available one year. They got Jamarcus Russell and Alex Smith. The Colts get the chance to draft 1st over all twice and they get Manning and Luck. The pats were lucky enough to take a flyer on a guy named Brady in the 6th round one year

Starting and Promoting a charity is a completly different job then running a football team.

My only comment to those that say "Well they could sell it, it cost 'X' amount to build", Thats easier said then done. You almost never get your money back that you put in customizing a vehicle, and how many people today are in the market for a $100,000 used Pickup? -
That doesn't mean Kelly could do 1/2 of what he has done here But really, what has Elway actually done? He brought in a retread coach in Fox, gave Tebow to the Jets, and convinced Manning to sign in Denver

Yeah, the parallel is ridiculous, I'm also a pro athlete who just signed a contract worth over $100 million dollars tooDifference is, my gift also doesn't come with added expenses of insurance, and fuel, future repair Bills How do you know what someone who received my "donation" is thinking? Do you think that everyone in this world is greatful for your garbage being given to them just because its being given to them and more then what they had before? I'm sure the poor love getting your old dented cans of pumpkin pie filling at the holidays and smile and say 'well, its better then getting nothing" -
Because he has already made money over his career and it isn't worth the continued strees and aggrevation for him to stay? Not everyone is willing to keep doing things that are breaking them just because theres money involved. He probably has enough money already saved to live comfortably as a retired coach. It might be his last chance as a HC, but I'm sure there are teams that are out there that may offer him a position as a consultant or something elss stressful then what he has now. How many here thought Jauron was done in the NFL after the Bills fired him?

The only team in Buffalo that Kelly should be given a front office higher up position of is the Jills. Just because he had a great career playing the game, it doesn't mean he is qualified to coach or evaluate talent as a GM. Some guys have the ability to do this, some don't. Do you think that Pittsburgh fans should have been screaming for Terry Bradshaw to become the Head Coach or GM of the Steelers? Jim Kelly is the kind of guy that is already in the best position with the team that he is suited for, being a glorified cheerleader on the sidelines, promoting the team and being an ambassador to get players interested in coming here. He has never shown that he has the knowledge or ability to be a good coach, or GM. He was always looked at as being more of the "typical Jock" type player that had the ability to succeed due to his athletic ability and not his brain. Elway always seemed to be the smarter QB, similar to say Manning who I think would probably have a decent career in coaching afterwards. People bring up Kellys motivation and desire to win, yet this "desire to win" that he has wasn't enough for him to just once think that maybe he needs to prepar for the Super Bowl game the next day instead of being out partying all night?

Is Von Miller the LeBron of the NFL?
apuszczalowski replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How are we supposed to feel about this? Should we be happy cause Dareus is a bust this week or Pissed because he will now obviously not resign here and Nix is horrible for drafting such an obvious bust and not re-signing him? -

apuszczalowski replied to Maybe Someday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Does this really matter? If the bills win, everyone here is going to be in an uproar about how dare the bills win, they just cost themseves the chance to draft their new Saviour by falling a few spots in the draft, and how the jets are top to bottom a better organisation for realising its more important to move up a few spots in the draft by losing then it is to win a game once you aren't seen as this seasons SB contendor. If the Bills lose, everyone will be in an uproar about how bad they stink and how they couldn't even beat a bad team like the Jets with Sanchez as QB -

your right, I should be praised for giving a homeless guy my used socks. Its more then what he had before so he should be greatful even though they are worn and I could have easily went out and given him new ones -
I have said it many times before here the last few weeks, Chan is done. I don't see him being fired, but he will most likely step down and retire. Just listening to him he is broken and beaten, and sounds like someone who will retire and move on. The Bills don't want to start all over again by cleaning house and know that this years team grossly underachieved cause they do have alot of talent on the roster, give 'Stache the HC position and he hires replacement co-ordinators for O and D. Its not what the fans want, but it changes things up by putting someone new in charge without completly blowing things up and starting again from scratch. Even Saint Polian said recently that he doesn't think blowing it up every 3 years is going to be good and they need to stick with continuity. Nix I can see staying on until atleast the draft where afterwards he may step down and retire also, leaving the job to Whaley, or this upcoming year will probably be his last after he feels he either did all he could to tunr them around, or feels he has solidified a foundation for the team and can leave the team to Whaley to build from there. I would say that there is less then a 50% chance that Chan even wants to continue on after this season. He just looks and sounds beaten and done, like he just doesn't know what to do anymore to fix things and that he is getting too old for this.

Everyone heres right, he should be given sainthood around here cause he gave away a used vehicle. Maybe mario can't afford to go out and buy a newer one just to give away, its not like he is the highest paid at his position in the history of his position, or in a career field where he makes lots of money. And these people should be greatful they got anything Seriously, no one is going after the guy for giving something to some deserving people, just commenting that you would think someone with his kind of money could go out and not have to give away something used, or something that is going to cost the people more in fuel to run. If this was Ralph giving away a used vehicle to veterans, people here would be all over him for not being new. Kind of Ironic, Ralph gives enough to charity just by keeping the team in buffalo and fans aren't exactly greatful to him by constantly insisting that he spend more or Die so someone else can take over.... -
Nix Doesn't Deserve To Pick A New Coach
apuszczalowski replied to box0life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cowher turned down the job because he didn't want to get back into coaching and was enjoying the cushy job being a TV analyst instead, Its not like he has taken one of the many other head coaching jobs that have come available since the Bills went after him. He recommended Chan, someone he said he would have made his Offensive Co-OrdinatorAs for Shanahan, he took the job in Washington instead. He had other options and went with the one in the bigger market where he would have more control, and up until this year, hasn't had that much more success then Chan did in his first 2 years Who? Lynch? The guy the entire retard Rodeo here was running out of town anyways becuase he was bound to have another strike against him and would be lost for the season?Poz and Whitner weren't traded so it can't be them. Who else was traded away and went on to be successful anywhere else? Just like their new GM caught some flack by some that thought he should have taken RGIII over Luck To Bolded Statement #1 - Polian didn't seem to have any issues coming back when Ralph gave him the honor of having his anem put up on the stadiumTo Bolded Statement #2 - This just reminds of of last season, same thing, different names. Replace Nix with Edwards, and Whaley with Wannstadt....... -
Nix Doesn't Deserve To Pick A New Coach
apuszczalowski replied to box0life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Quickly? If 8 years is quickly, sure It took him 8 years with one of the greatest QBs to ever play the game to make it to the Super Bowl and win his ONLY Super Bowl of his entire career as a GM. He was such a great GM recently that the team he built around that great QB struggled to win 2 games (after starting 0-13) without Manning and they didn't even want him anymore to take The second coming of Manning, Andrew Luck Polian was also trying to move himself out of the position to give it to his son chris, why would he come to Buffalo and not want the same thing, to give the spot to chris? -
Rumor only!! Involves John Gruden
apuszczalowski replied to marauderswr80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And most of those can be blamed on coaching, IF this is true, he won't be coaching for Chan......... -

Bills call in someone, take them out for a nice free dinner on the teams dime, have a few drinks and cal it an "interview" for the HC position, then maybe offer him another coaching position? For a free dinner, why not? It gets your name in the media as a potential candidate somewhere else maybe -

Not saying that I actually believe any of this is true, and if it were, we would just be calling for Grudens head talking about how out of touch he is with Todays NFL by next season, but you have to think of brandon as basically the "Owner" in this situation. He is Ralphs right hand man basically with the team and is sort of the acting "Owner"
