Stevie wants DHB (Update - goes to Colts)
apuszczalowski replied to NoSaint's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Your right, same with all of the rest of the guys that become FAs, if they are so good, why are they on the open Market? -
NFL Network: Who's in deeper ****, the Bills or Jets
apuszczalowski replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My favorite part about this place has to be how the cuts the Bills have made so far, aside from Nelson and letting Levitre go, were all moves that people were asking for anyways, now that they happen and the Bills have yet to sign anyone 2/3rds into the first 24 hours of Free Agency, the sky is falling and they will be lucky to win a game this year I was expecting alot more people here saying that the Bills are in Deeper **** then the Jets though just because they are the Bills, while applauding the Jets front office for the moves they have been making so far........... -

You are so right, why would Nix not draft a guard in the 2012 draft instead of wasting a pick on Mark Asper. What position does Asper play again? Does anyone know? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm -
[closed]Levitre is not coming back

Cue the "The Bills are the worst, they just let all their good players walk for nothing!!!!!" Start -
hmmm, again the age is a concern, and he has let himself go.........

Isn't Devito in his 50's/60's? He is also way too short ot play on an NFL teams o-line, he's only 4' and change IIRC

An unproven rookie WR or Victor Cruz?
apuszczalowski replied to Kellyto83TD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Obviously Cruz cause he has the experience, and I feel Stevie would probably prefer to wear the elaborate costume seeing as how he has tried to use props before in his celebrations (T-Shirt?) -

The Luck () was that Manning suffered his injury and was unable to play the year when Andrew Luck was available in the draft and the Colts had a built in excuse to "suck for Luck"I don't think the Colts targeted Luck in the draft if Manning wasn't hurt and off for the year -

The fitz that was given an extension by the Bills (can't put it all on Buddy, he doesn't negotiate contracts, I beleive thats Overdorfs job) isn't the guy thats currently playing right now. They gave the contract to the Fitz that was looking like a quality starting Qb to start last season, before getting hurt. Injuries happen and can sometimes change people, some players also change once they get their big contract, thats not all on the GM. As for the comments to the Tampa GM about the QB situation here and not knowing what to do or having a plan, may have been a plan to try and get them to offer up Freeman. There was rumors that the Bucs may try and move him, play up the fact you have QB problems, maybe he throws an offer at you that includes Freeman -

I'm not arguing with what you said here, Its embarrassing to fall for a prank, thats all I am saying. I don't blame him for being pranked though, it can happen all the time, like the example you gave with the hospital and the royal family whom you would expect to have better screening then just an NFL football team -

Its embarrassing because he fell for a prank, but its an assumption to think that he should have known it wasn't the Bucs GM because of a phone number. Each team I would assume would have a contact number for every teams front office (probably with a secretary who would make the call/receive the calls and put them through to the GM. Its also very likely that GMs have personal and business cell phones they might call from and that teams may not always have those numbers or now them by heart. -

Theres more to it then just cutting him, its not that easy. They have to look at it from all aspects. Is it worth the large cap hit to cut him plus the additional cost of having to find someone to take his roster spot? Would it be better cap/salary wise to keep him as a backup for now until they have more salary cap space to cut him?Tjax was traded for, but they never let him go, he was re-signed before he could become a FA this offseason. -
JETS RELEASING SIONE POUHA
apuszczalowski replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not really, If it wasn't for manning have Neck Surgery that kept him out and put questions on his future, he would still be a Colt right now. They didn't blow things up, they just rode out the season with what they had minus Manning.... -

If Doc swings by in his Deloreen first and gets those guys in their prime, sure, I'm all for it But since thats not happening, I would pass -

Well, I'm sure the TD celebrations with him and Stevie would be Epic, the 2 of them can dance together accross the endzone.............. -
Man, I used something similar beforein my driveway and a few neighbors down teh street came over to make sure my house wasn't on fire.

Jets bring in a guy who hasn't played in 2 years, at 35 for a workout and sign him to compete for the starting job and its a good move People suggest the Bills bring in anyone who is not a current starter for a workout and its a complete waste of time and horrible idea Sounds about right...............

Boldin already siad he was thinking of retiring after the Superbowl if he was released from the Ravens. Theres no way he was going to accept a trade to a team thats not a contender. So the Ravens choice was to keep him (something they weren't going to do because of cap restrictions), trade him somewhere he wanted to go to, or let him go and he would retire. The Ravens got something for someone who would have otherwise left for nothing, so its not a bad deal. I'm sure that with the Harbaughs coaches of both teams, they helped get a deal worked out that both teams and player could live with

Heard of it and people who used it and said it worked well, just be ready to have the fire department or town By-Law officers come by when your choking out the neighborhood with smoke from your exhaust!

It doesn't matter if they sign someone Day 1, or day 101. As long as they can improve the team through any means necessary this offseason, what does it matter if they slept through a few of the first days of FA? The Bills had one of the biggest signings early on in FA last season and it did nothing for the team last season. I don't think they really have the cap space to make a big splash again anyways, so the guys they should be targeting are mid level guys who can fill holes and provide them with good/solid (but maybe not great) players at a bunch of positions rather then one good/great player at one position and mediocre/lower level fill ins at the rest

Troy Smith - QB - Ohio State
apuszczalowski replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Minor costs, and the guys that would be taking a look at him, thats what their job is, to look at and evaluate potential players for the organisation. As for it taking valuable time away from getting other valuable work done, like what kind of work? Evaluating potential players to add to the roster? This isn't comparable to other businesses, where people come to you and apply for a position to come work at your business. This is a business where there are very few people who can do the job well and you have to go out and get them. Theres potential for players to go unnoticed and "slip through the cracks" because of a bad situation. -

The Jets just had Garrard, who sat out all of last season and missed most of the year before in to "kick the tires"............But your right, why waste time looking at every possible option out there to try and fix this team. It costs nothing to bring in these guys to take a look and "kick the tires", and you never know, you might find something decent. The Bills should just stick to whats been working so well for them in the past, building with mediocre FAs, the draft and UDFAs............
