  1. Edwards is the most important, but Evans is the best when you compare to players at the same position on other teams.
  2. Lol. You would rather "worry" about all our young talent halfway into their rookie years instead of be optimistic and excited for what they can bring to our team? Sad, sad, fan.
  3. We need to get Fine on the field ASAP and keep our eyes on the draft in the next few years for a playmaker TE.
  4. Whitner is the type PLAYMAKER for our defense. His tackling and positioning is the main reason we very rarely give up big plays. Our defense has played great all year and is still the #11 defense in the league in points. Why change a winning formula?
  5. Play the same defense we did vs. the chargers. Don't have 4 turnovers. Give Marshawn the ball 20+ times NO MATTER WHAT.
  6. Honestly the only DB we have that has the physical ability to play like you describe is McKelvin. This defense is built completely for the cover 2. We have excellent tacklers in our secondary but no playmakers, it's by design. We're not getting beat on defense at all (16 points is not enough in this division). Why would we change a scheme that is working very well?
  7. I've always looked at Marshawn as the type of the guy who really blossoms in the 4th quarter. He runs very hard and has the ability to beat down a defense if given regular carries. By the end of the game we need to just feed Marshawn the ball and when we get the urge to pass, give it to Jackson. Our 2nd half drive vs the Dolphins is a perfect example.
  8. Whitner is not a "playmaker" in most peoples sense of the word. He doesn't ballhawk very well and is not a great blitzer. He is, however, a very good tackler and elimitates the big play to his side of the field. While it would be nice for him to be more of a big play threat like Troy Polamalu, you have to take the good with the bad. He is a very solid player, and very rarely makes mistakes. He is a perfect fit for a "bend but don't break" C2 like ours.
  9. I've heard several analysts on Sirius NFL radio suggest just blowing up Pennington anytime they lineup in the wildcat. Our coaching staff doesn't have the balls to do it but I hope someone does along the way.
  10. I must admit, after sitting through that 4th quarter, there is no joy in my victory.
  11. I dont get why the coaching staff called those turnovers, horrible decisions why would you give the ball to the other team.
  12. 1. All those things you listed are reasons we didn't blow them out. In your mind erase each of those events from the game and realistically, do we win? Erase Trent's 3 turnovers, especially the 2 fumbles, and I am pretty certain we win the game. We were moving the ball effectively enough to win. 2. 4 of our last drives we handed the ball to the dolphins. Maybe I overstated that 16 points would win us the game without them, but we definitely would not have to have scored 26. There is no way you can put blame on the defense. They bent a lot, but certainly did not break at any point. 3. He is in his own endzone on third down with a blitz coming. HE HAS TO GET RID OF THE BALL. It would be nice if JP and DD held their end, regardless I think most people would be in agreement with me that Trent's timer needs to speed up in that situation, and it clearly did not. If anything, blame needs to go to the playcalling for not running the ball once in that possession. 4. My only disagreement is about the above fumble. Again though, we can still win with that pick and without josh reed - neither of those are reasons we flat out lost. Royal's fumble is a moot point, we weren't going to win at that point anyways. However, I would be happy to never see Royal downfield again. 5. Ginn had a great game and was really their only source of offense. Again, if our defense holds an opponent to 16-20 points, regardless of what fashion it happens, you can't put much blame on them. What I meant was it was much more painful to watch than it actually was. Think, would you rather keep the fumbles and Ginn gets 4 catches for 50 yds, or erase the fumbles and Ginn has the same day?
  13. AHAHAHAHh YEAH AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH That makes sense if you agree to cancel your TV/Internet/Power for a week too.
  14. Maybe he's like the rest of the country and cares so little about the two teams involved and simply forgot about it, like I have.
  15. My thoughts exactly. Trent had way more to do with this loss than JP had to do w/ the the ARI loss. Where is the angry mob?
  16. He does it in the backfield too. His ultra-quick release and pocket presence bail him out a lot, but he is very vulnerable to strip sacks.
  17. Absolutely. Either that or our coaching staff has overestimated his field awareness. I don't see how we don't call a single run in that situation. Bad playcalling resulted in putting an inexperienced QB in a tough position.
  18. I am in total disagreement with this. I don't feel we played exceptionally bad. This is a tough road game against a division opponent and we gave ourselves a very good chance to win if we don't turn the ball over. While it looks bad for Ginn to have 170+ yds, our defense played tough when it had to and did come up with a couple crucial stops. http://img373.imageshack.us/my.php?image=whywelostco8.jpg ^^^^^^ All the other things people are complaining about are reasons we didn't blow the dolphins out. After watching our previous games you have to know Trent isn't going to turn the ball over 3 times every game. Stop being so pessimistic.
  19. The NFL would be without a lot of it's superstars then.
  20. We could have won in spite of all those others things you mentioned. We could not win with Edwards at QB today. Don't get me wrong, I love Trent and am convinced he'll end up in Canton someday - but today he cost us one.
  21. Incorrect topic, Edwards had "it", but then he held it out for the other team to snatch.
