  1. My only real grip in your post is the part of the defense. Our D gave up 16 points to a halfway decent offense. If we can't put up more than 16 points on a mediocre/poor Jet Defense, we're not winning a lot of games.
  2. Probably the best assessment I've seen yet. The run game is a big overbearing problem, but it did not prevent us from winning today. I don't put a whole lot on the defense. Yeah, it would've been nice to see them come up w/ a stop at the end but giving up 16 points is acceptable.
  3. The Jets had 7 in coverage for most of the game and still played very soft or manned under. Even when they played nickel they played C3, Royal and Fine were open all day long. Trent can't block for himself so he needs to do what's needed to win.
  4. A pick6 in the redzone = 10 points(if we had a good offense I could make the case it was handing them 14 points). Duh.
  5. Ummm maybe you forgot the part where Edwards handed them 10 points. What did we lose by again? I agree that both lines are playing terrible, but it doesn't mean we can't win with them.
  6. I know Brady can recognize double coverage on a slot receiver and doesn't throw a pick 6 in the red zone.....meaning we win the game. The Jets had normal personnel on the field 90% of the time, and Edwards had a TE open on several plays. Again, I don't disagree that the o-line is playing very poor, but they are not the reason we lost today.
  7. Disagree somewhat. Jets played normal personnel vast majority of the game. If we can't pass on 4db's and 3lb's in C2 or 2MU, we can't pass in the NFL. Obviously if we were able to run the ball life would be easier, but we still should have won today. The line is not going to get any better and we CANT THROW PICKS IN THE RED ZONE. If you had to pin the loss on 1 play, it was that play and it was 100% on Edwards.
  8. Obviously our o-line is going to be a problem all year. We need to learn to win in spite of it so I have to disagree with your post. If Brady was a QB today we win without a doubt. Its cute to think Edwards is going to have 6 seconds every play to throw but he's not, face it. He needs to make good decisions and take care of the ball.
  9. I'm sure our gameplan was to run the ball - which we can't do because our o-line is awful. In response, we went to the tight ends with a lot of success. Defense, bend but don't break like always. The defense played fine today and we win if A) We can run the ball OR B) Edwards doesn't hand them essentially a 10 point swing.
  10. I think the O-line is as much to blame for the loss as anyone, but lets be honest: Trent doesn't throw a stupid pick in the redzone and we win this game.
  11. Umm....gameplan was fine. We win with a decent o-line and without TE throwing pick-6's in the redzone.
  12. You've made it pretty clear with your posts today you know very little about how NFL football is played. Could you do all the young readers a favor and stop creating threads until you've educated yourself? He can't "out leap" the guy and take it from him if it is under-thrown. There is no receiver in the NFL that comes down with that ball without a tremendous amount of luck.
  13. Obviously firing Jauron is a stupid thing to say. However, I'd be lying if I said I didn't have any doubts about his 3 year extension after his performance today.
  14. 1. Agreed. Worse game management by the coaching staff to date. Going for it when we should kick it(and not challenging it when jackson did make the first), kicking it when we should be going for it and wasting a challenge. 2. Our running game is flat out painful to watch. 3. Too many penalties but without the hold on Moorman's run, I don't think he gets the first down. 4. A couple of the sacks are on Trent and the secondary, but I agree nonetheless. I don't see our O-line suddenly learning how to block. That being said, Trent needs to start taking off more or more designed rollouts. I'd rather see him run out of the pocket and throw it away or run out of bounds than continually stand tall and get nailed. 5. Absolutely. Who on this team is going to step up when we need a game-changing play? Credit to Greer for being the only one on the defense with that mindset. Very painful loss to watch. We played pretty poorly on all facets, but the obvious areas we need to improve on right now to have a chance is pass rush and rushing offense. The first couple drives where we blitzed Favre should have been the blueprint the entire game. I would rather we go down with some fight instead of sitting on our heels waiting to lose.
  15. I'm a pretty optimistic fan but I agree. The team I saw today just was not very good. Mediocre Defense. Mediocre Special Teams. Horrible Offense. Horrible coaching.
  16. I wish the D-line would stop throwing pick-6's in the red zone....
  17. Take quotes out of context and respond to them. It was a joke dude seriously.
  18. GET 'EM CHEAP. It's good that he isn't quick. I'm sick of schobel and kelsay showing me how "quick" they are by dashing 20 yards down the field every play.
  19. 1. Evans 2. Lynch 3. Edwards 4. Whitner 5. Stroud 6. Peters 7. McGee 8. Mitchell 9. Greer 10. Poz Honorable Mentions: Kyle Williams, Moorman, Action Jackson, Roscoe.
  20. I think the Bills clearly made a mistake by not trading Trent for Roy Williams. We all know Lee Evans is a slot guy at best and if this team was serious about anything we'd have gotten Williams and drafted Tim Tebow. Classic Bills FO blunders. (OF COURSE WE NEED TO LOCK TRENT UP FOR THE LONGHAUL. Now preferably, before he becomes a superstar.)
  21. I hope Favre's career ends tomorrow and we blow the stupid flippin jets out. God I hate the Jets.
  22. My thoughts exactly. If Marshawn was built for one thing, its pounding the ball into the endzone from the 1. Giving the ball to Jackson was us trying to get cute with our offense. 4th down, you kick the field goal though.
  23. I'm pretty sure Hardy will be deactivated by gametime. He is clearly a bust and if the FO has any brains they will release him in the next couple days.
  24. I would trade him while his stock is high and look to the draft for a new QB. No need to extend him at all.
  25. I showed up dressed in a dolphins uniform and he handed me a football.....
